Provincetown Harbor |
Flyer's Boatyard offers rental moorings in Provincetown Harbor for boats from 6 to 100 feet long. You can rent a mooring for a few hours up to the entire season. You can feel confident knowing that your boat will be tied to a mooring that has been inspected from top to block at the beginning of every season and again mid-season by Flyer's skilled mooring and dive staff. Mooring pennants are checked for wear and tear at least twice daily.
Flyer's has the largest fleet of boats for rent on Cape Cod, offering a wide range of craft to get you out on the beautiful and sheltered Provincetown Harbor. We have power boats from 9.9hp skiffs to 60hp pontoon boats for larger parties, ocean kayaks, and paddleboards, as well as day-sail Rhodes 19s.
We also offer private sunset and party cruises. Memorial services are also respectfully accommodated by our Coast Guard licensed captains.
There is excellent fishing for striped bass, bluefish, fluke, flounder and tautog throughout the harbor as well as sightseeing, lighthouses, swimming, picnicking, or just relaxing on remote beaches far from busy summer roads and crowds. Boaters often enjoy the sights of harbor seals, dolphins and ocean sunfish and even whales on occasion.
PLEASE NOTE: We charge a 25' minimum.
Very quick response. Friendly staff. Good location.
Prompt response for a mooring. Didn't use their shoreside services, just the dinghy dock. Their dock is on the quieter side of town, but just a short walk to most shops and restaurants.
Great value, friendly staff, very prompt launch service and great location.
Friendly staff, easy instruction, and great location
As far as moorings go, it was fine. I stayed here because a strong blow was expected and I thought the piece of mind and the launch would make it worth it. I have a big dog so I was hoping to use the launch to get back and forth but it runs from 8am-8pm, which didn't work for our schedule. There are no facilities or amenities and they force you into a tiny area to use your own dinghy... even after hours. This was tricky with a big dog.
Great stopover transiting from Maine to RI. Easy to find. Nice mooring for larger boats.
Super-easy to locate (mooring field just to the left of the breakwater with clearly marked orange cone buoys), plenty of space/availability, super-easy to contact (Ch. 11), free launch service, and accessible shore-side restrooms with showers. And... we saw a small whale INSIDE the harbor, breaching several times.
Flyer's moorings are great. The staff is always helpful and are fast getting the launch out to pick us up.
your out there in the harbor a little rough
Absolute Pleasure! Thank you Flyer's Moorings Team!
Good moorings, appropriately sized and spaced. Prompt and friendly launch service.
Family owned. Great staff and crew! Super helpfull and friendly! Easy walk to grocery store. Has been our go too for several years as jump off to Canada or maine.
We’ve stayed on Flyer’s moorings many times over many years. Never had a bad experience. They are always friendly, always accommodating. Convenient launch service.
Easy in/easy out. Miles, the launch skipper was great. Gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Only criticism is fee for mooring on the high side compared to other harbors.
Malcolm and Emily and the whole staff are really very pleasant and responsive. It’s always an enjoyable experience to stay with them.
Friendly, helpful people with fair prices
Plenty of moorings to choose from. Rapid response to hails for the launch or any needed assistance. Bathrooms were clean and in better condition than two years ago. Staff was polite and attentive to our needs. Price was less than the other option next door but even so it seems kinda pricey compared to other destinations in Cape Cod and the islands. For example 2x the price vs Edgartown. Next time we might try just anchoring behind breakwater.
Great marina! Everyone was super friendly and helpful to make our stay as easy as possible
The folks at Flyer’s are great! They’re all very helpful, responsive, friendly, and just nice people. The launch service is a huge benefit of staying there. It’s convenient to pretty much everything. Sure, the moorings are more expensive than a lot of places, but it is a resort area. I’ll be back.
great time love provincetown
Convenient moorings,secure in heavy winds.
Great mooring field and easy access to shore/shops…everything p-town.
Great people, very accommodating
Great location on the West End. Timely contact when arriving and the launch was super responsive. Facilities were nice and clean as well. We will stay again!!
Fabulous employees great launch service
Malcolm and his team are the best! Great option in P-town with reliable and friendly launch.
Mooring was a bit touch to get due to thickness of the rope. Launch was easy to get and very efficient.
Very friendly and moorings well marked.
Very nice staff. Launch service prompt.
Moorings are getting expensive everywhere. Anchorages are getting more and more crowded by expensive moorings. The Coast Guard Pier is not a great anchoring option anymore so we chose Flyers over the other guys based on price alone. The Mooring was great. Very heavy line with a nice bridal and eyes actually big enough to fit around our cleats. During our stay, we had a long spell of very high winds (with a Tornado warning). The mooring held fine and the only mooring in the whole harbor that dragged was for one of the house boats. The Launch Drivers are very skilled at landing on your boat in very challenging and choppy conditions.
Very convenient location and the staff is great.
Awesome moorings and launch service! Cool town, everyone is so friendly! we will be back! Thanks for the great stay!
Nice staff and good service.
The mooring field is somewhat west of the town but the launch service is prompt leaving you a nice walk along Commerce Street. There were 2 days of heavy winds but the moorings did their job.
We love Flyers! Super friendly, professional, and accommodating staff… already looking forward to next year!
Great service very friendly staff very well managed
This is the second year that we have taken a mooring from flyers. The launch service is excellent, including the late-night departures from the commercial pier. This allows you to dine leisurely and explore the many open shops.
Very comfortable. Might be a little bumpy if it were bad weather but we had a good night. Easy access to main st from their dinghy dock
Really nice, helpful people!
we wish the launch serviced Mcmillans wharf.
Great service from the crew at Flyers!
Great people, very accommodating , prompt and courteous.
There are lots of big wakes in the mooring field from the many big boats entering the breakwater. This is by no means the fault of Flyers -- it applies to all the moorings. Otherwise our stay was wonderful and Flyers is very accommodating.
Professional and accommodating service. We felt welcome there. Location in town is a plus.
Emily and Malcolm provided launch service above and beyond their proscribed duties. Admittedly it was a slow w/e but they put in extra effort and time to help us get to events at the ferry dock.
A great budget alternative to the City docks. Located at the western, quieter end of commercial st. Clean showers w plenty of hot water & friendly, helpful launch/dock staff. Definitely recommend
Picking up mooring was very straightforward and launch operator very helpful. Thanks Emily for your recommendation of Liz's Cafe for dinner. We loved the ambience and had a great meal there. After labor day, the launch service ends at 6:00 pm so we had to dinghy in to the dock. Emily pre-warned us that at mean low tide, there's not a lot of water but fortunately the bottom is mostly sand so it meant hopping out of the dinghy and dragging it to the dock for our dinner ashore and in the morning to give our dog some relief. Always an adventure.
Great alternative to Provincetown moorings.
We have been going to Flyer's for a few years for Labor Day Weekend. The location of the moorings is convenient to restaurants and shops. The showers have been upgraded, you do not need quarters any longer. The launch will run past eight upon request on non-weekend nights. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
The people at Flyer's are great! We stayed for 5 nights our first trip to Provincetown and then 2 nights our second trip. Everyone we dealt with were so friendly and helpful. The location is great - an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants from the dinghy dock. We will be back next year!
a little pricey but the launch being included and the boat US discount were nice bonuses! Never had to wait very long for a pickup and the staff were really polite and friendly. We'll be using flyers next time as well.
Was hoping the bathrooms would have been upgraded since the price for moorings had increased since our last visit. Launch only running til 8 pm was disappointing Staff was friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A+
Friendly team, easy access to town, not crowded at all.
Mooring was great, good access to the dinghy dock. We will be back!
Well maintained moorings and an accommodating staff. Been using them for years and will continue to do so.
Great mooring field. Awesome launch service. Great town. Need I say more? Love Flyer’s.
Good harbor location and excellent service
The people and service was great! Just don’t go during times of full moons and other unusual tides. There is zero water at the dock during low tide. So, you have to walk in the water to get to the launch. Obviously a channel needs to be dredged. Chris
We had a great night on Flyer's Moorings. They have a launch that runs from 8am-6pm from Flyers and then 7-11pm from McMillian Wharf. We were not aware of the late launch, wish we were told but know for next time. Thank you Flyers, we will be back.
A great stay as always! The launch drivers are hands down the best, and the moorings are very solid. Flyer’s also has the best view for the 4th of July fireworks! Close but not so close that your boat gets covered in ash.
Our favorite go to in Ptown. A little further from the action (a good thing), friendly helpful service and good value.
Very nice staff. Very easy to navigate into their mooring field. Great boat yard.
Staff was very helpful. Enjoyed our stay
Very pleasant/helpful phone and launch staff.
THE RIGHT PRICE FOR A WEEKEND MOORING!!! Great, friendly launch service. Very convenient and accomodating
Great stop off. The launch was super easy and fast. They had even added an extra hour between 9-10 pm at night. Showers are a little basic but they work. I think they are renovating next year. Moorings look like they are in good condition and spaced a good distance from each other. Nice location too. Just far enough from all the wild stuff in town but not too far. This is our second trip here. Highly recommend it.
Nice locations and good service
Great place! Even better was the customer service. East to arrange reservation and they immediately approved, so no waiting to find out. Good things because we were moving a boat Portland Maine to Bridgeport CT and out other mooring plan fell through on a very busy weekend with significant tide and winds coming in. Motored right in, moored up, and Emily with the tender was right there to pick us up. Will repeat.
Came in late and left early. Easy moorings to find.
Excellent experience. Easy booking, helpful staff. Restful night
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, much cheaper than the other marina, laid back about departure time on a rainy weekday in august. Facilities not insanely comfortable or modern, but that’s nitpicking in Ptown.
Very easy to find and pick up mooring. Quiet night. Ferry’s were very well behaved and did not kick up a wake near the mooring field. Only exposure is to SE, was not a problem. Would come back.
Super friendly staff. Stayed here for 4 nights due to storms in the area. Our dinghy engine died when we first arrived and the manager lent us a skiff for the night so we could return to our boat after dinner. The next day their shop had the parts I needed to fix it. Not sure why anyone would ever pay more to stay on similar moorings. The walk into town is pleasant and lets you see areas not normally frequented when visiting the town center. Will happily stay here again.
Easy to reserve and friendly staff. A bit rolly with the ferry waves, but that is to be expected based on the location. With marina prices have gone up in PTown, this is a great location for the value.
We enjoyed our stay. Mooring field was easy to navigate. Friendly staff. Launch included in mooring fee.
Nice quite stay on the Flyer's Moorings - great launch service too. Great location for a walk up Commercial Street. And I need to add; very accommodating with the launch service; your their customer and they aim to please!
Very easy. And the guys were awesome! We will be back. Thank you for your hospitality.
Great stay on a Flyers mooring! Launch fee included in Dockwa mooring fee.
We always enjoy a mooring with Flyer's. The dock has been massively expanded allowing launch and dinghy access in almost all tides. A few years ago we had to walk ashore from the launch at low tide. The staff is helpful and friendly and the place has a wonderful old boatyard vibe. The toilets and showers are very basic - hopefully they'll get an upgrade soon. But if you want luxury you'd do well to stay at the fancy marina close by. For us, Flyer's is the clear choice
Good, secure moorings, convenient
The location was great. Launch service was responsive and fast. However, the dinghy dock was challenging at low tide (skinny water). The bathrooms and showers really need updating. It's been a long time since I needed quarters for a shower! Staff were great. The facilities need a bit of improvement.
Great service, responsive launch, and a short walk to Ptown center. Would definitely return.
Always a pleasure staying with Flyers. They run such a professional and friendly business, it’s a pleasure to stop here whenever we’re cruising in the area. Provincetown is magical, too!
This is our second year renting from Flyer’s Moorings. We have found them to be responsive, accommodating and friendly. Their moorings and dock are convenient to town center.
The bathrooms continue to be sub par- even though the rates have soared. Dinghy Dock dark at night and inaccessible at low tide. Have gone for years but may pass them over next time
Stayed overnight on 406. It was fine. I didn’t go ashore as it was just a quick stop. They were helpful on Channel 11 describing the mooring field and approach.
Launch service exceptional. Very friendly and accommodating . Bathroom facilities are “rustic”. Could use some TLC.
People were great. Very helpful and friendly.
Our Stay in Plymouth for a long weekend was exactly what we wanted. We were greeted at the dock, assisted into our slips and we enjoyed a nice weekend. The reason I have given this review five stars is because of a woman named Bridget. Bridget went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable, informed, and felt well taken care of. She is both friendly and professional and obviously cares about her clients. When our friend's boat broke down after we left, they called Bridget and she went way out of her way to take them back into the marina and help them get through the crisis. In my opinion, she deserves 5 stars! Thank you Bridget and Plymouth! We will return.
Flyers was very accommodating and when I got sick and had to leave my boat there they were awesome!!!
The mornings were very well marked. The shuttle service was quick to pick us up and drop us off, they we’re very knowledgeable about the area in general and I will definitely be staying back at the Flyers morning again in a couple of weeks.
Quiet but nice weekend . Launch service was good
Great location in downtown Provincetown
Moorings waayyyy out (inner moorings not for transients). Launch only runs to 6pm. BEWARE.
We stayed in the outer mooring field which was unprotected from heavy chop. It is a long dinghy ride to the dinghy dock which is located on the far Side of McMillan Pier (where the Fishing boats are).
We always love to stay here. flyers is the best choice in Provincetown. Service is consistently great and prices are the most reasonable in town.
Nice folks running the operation (unless they accidentally mistake you for someone else stealing an mooring without a reservation!) and launch service was fairly quick and convenient. Don't bother calling anyone via phone for info, the shop doesn't seem to know anything about the moorings. Just hail on VHF Channel 11. These moorings are a bit far from the town dinghy dock if you care to stay in town past 11pm (when the launch stopped running this particular holiday weekend). Limited protection from the wind (not specific to Flyer's Moorings) due to the size and shape of the harbor. Great prices compared to Provincetown Marina, which although nice, is a huge ripoff now as of summer 2019.
I highly recommend Flyers Moorings in Provincetown. All of the staff from launch drivers to office staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. They were also very flexible when deteriorating weather conditions made it necessary for us to shorten the length of our stay by 2 nights. With less than 24 hours notice we were given a full refund for the remaining two nights of our reservation. Mooring rental includes free launch service which we found to be very convenient and dependable.i wouldn’t hesitate to stay again at Flyers next time our cruise plans take us to Provincetown.
Friendly and reasonable. A bit rocky due to boat traffic but nothing to prevent us from going back.
The staff was awesome we had 4 kids in there 20 and the launch service was unbelievable thank you so much will stay there again
Very good launch service . A good and less alternative ti the now very pricey province town moorings,
You get what you pay for. We were located on the outside mooring line. The boat and ferry traffic in and out of the harbor made for a VERY rocky stay. We were at times side to side rolling about. Very uncomfortable. If you stay ask for an inside mooring. The launch service was great.
Great setup, plenty of moorings and space. Efficient shuttle service. Good experience.
We've moored here for years. We have our own dingy so don't have to pay the $10 each way launch. The price is steep - $75 per night, but in Provincetown that price is a bargain. Warning: the bathroom/shower facilities are minimal ー two tiny bathrooms with shower stall that is coin operated: bring your quarters! They are clean though.
Friendly helpful people at Flyers, a shame that the local boaters don't honor the general courtesy that most boaters around the world know about no wake zones.
Great time! Mooring was as expected, beautiful view of Ptown. Launch was fine, easy walk to our dinner reservation.
Good stay. Prompt and pleasant launch service. A little pricey.
Been mooring at Flyer's for years. Malcolm the Dockmaster is a great guy.
i love the scene. cool shit!
Nice mooring, free shore boat.
Great launch service. Malcolm was awesome and very helpful. Nice long pendants on the moorings meant we didn't have to go thru the gymnastics to reach our high how. Good swing room. Wish they would make it a no wake zone in the outer part of the mooring field. Weekend boaters go thru at full throttle.
Always have a great time. Flyer's crew is the best!!
We always choose Flyers. It’s not the fanciest or most expensive marina in the area. It’s just the best in reflecting the original and classic Provincetown atmosphere. The staff retention is very good. Service and courtesy are operative words. The launch and office crews are responsive and informative. They have lots of amenities. Launch services expand as needed. And dockwa is very convenient for reservations, but you can always call Flyers or leave a message on your dockwa reservation and they will respond to your request, when you moor.
Very rocky and rolly moorings with boats speeding by all day. Super uncomfortable. Shower facilities are gross and not included as expected when paying $70/night for a mooring. Launch cannot get to dock at low ride hours so expect to have to wade 50+feet thru the water.(!) Yup. Positives were attendants were cool and polite, refunded my 2nd night since we disliked our mooring and decided to move on..
Using Dockwa and picking up the XL mooring was easy. Only problem here is HUGE ferry wakes!! Provincetown City Council needs to lower speed limit for ferry traffic until a couple hundred yards passed mooring field for 6 months per year.
Everything and everybody made for a very enjoyable experience. All of our needs were met.
Excellent mooring and tackle. Prompt friendly service. Timely launch service.
Flyers Marina has easy access. Met by a very friendly crew. Slightly exposed to Southern win though other than that a wonderful stay.
Ptown is becoming too expensive. No launch service from flyers after 5pm and a $70 mooring fee per night. The other mooring field wanted $2.50 a foot or $92.50 a night for our 37 foot boat. SAILERS UNITE: avoid Ptown until they bring the mooring fees down to a reasonable rate ($50)
Very communicative, On time pickup at the mooring - very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
We had no issues. People were very friendly. Water lever at the dock at low tide is limiting but we new that going in. They are talking about extending the docks over the off season to remove the low water issue. The showers could use some updating.
Very pleasant. Pulled in and pick up our mooring with absolutely no problems. Never had an issue, and a very pleasant stay for the week.
Fabulous location and can't beat the view.
The mooring was expensive and the dinghy dock was high and dry at low tide. However the guys on the dinghy dock moved my dinghy to somewhat deeper water where we were able to punt (not motor) out to deeper water. That was nice of them.
The stay was fine but when we wanted to cancel our Sunday reservation we could not get anyone on the phone.
Not protected at all, so bouncy I got seasick and our boat is a 40ft sailboat. Go only on calm days. Also, beware launch at their dock was a pontoon boat and tide was out so they had us wade knee deep in the water to get to pontoon! Luckily we learned they have another drop off dock on the other side of town. Half the price of the pricier moorings in the harbor though and staff was really nice.
Great launch service. Great staff. Stayed on a far out mooring and with the East wind rocked and rolled all night. Not very protected with winds from this general direction.
I had a wonderful stay at the Flyers mooring field Saturday night. Sunday morning woke to 3 footers in the harbor and decided it was too much for the dinghy ride in to town.. Called the launch and they picked up promptly in adverse conditions... All staff was very friendly!
The moorings are in excellent shape, the location is plenty close to town, and the heads are basic but clean. The best part is the staff who are all very friendly and helpful. Of special note is Malcolm who does a super job!
Flyer's was a disappointment. Plenty of empty moorings; but was assigned a mooring far from shore and poor protection from weather. Staff not responsive. Dingy Dock is dry at low tide ! We used the Provincetown dingy dock which is well maintained. Next visit will use the Provincetown Marina.
Very nice place to stay. Convienent to the Main Street in P Town. Love that this is a family business for many years and all the staff is family & close friends. Everyone is extremely knowledgable, polite and helpful. Beware that this is a mooring field only with no shelter. Not fun in a storm & many with no respect for a "no wake zone."
Great fun. Perfect spot. Had a party of 22 for the fireworks. The launch was great, brought everyone in and out with ease.
