We chose to stay on a mooring: huge mistake. The mooring field gets waked from the eastern passage constantly. Right after picking up the mooring, we were waked by a 2-3 foot freighter wake, which caused our boat to almost go on beam ends. Our stay was the worst we have ever experienced. When I inquired about slip reservations for a possible future visit, the representative conveyed an attitude that indicated that transient slips were really not that available. While we may try their marina on the western passage, we will not use this marina again.
