OMG!!!! Where do I begin? I made a reservation in August for a wet slip And trailer storage for 3 months. When I arrived I was was greeted if you can call it a greeting from the most annoying mgr. First I was told the rates went up but I said I had a contract from Dockwa and he said I guess I’ll honor it!! Wow! I traveled from Wisconsin with a new blackfin 302 so I asked where I could give it a quick wash before launching the next day……. His response was I’m not allowed to wash it on the property!!!! It’s a no work yard but I can have his staff wash it but could not give me a price yet, he has not worked out pricing for any services . I decided to bring it over to my rv park and give it a quick wash down. I paid my bill of over 1700$ for my stay. After washing my boat I went back to store the boat and had a conversation with the annoying mgr about where I should store my trailer after launching my boat and was told my trailer storage would be extra . I showed him my contract included trailer storage and he said that I could store it unsecured outside by the road but to be in a secure location it would be extra….. let me say that there were a few broken old trailers store outside the security fences but all trailers were stored inside their fencing. I have a 15000$ trailer that I was not going to store in an unsecured area…… at this point I was demanding that he needs to honor my contract….. at this point he added a few more rules that put me over the edge! In addition to the fee for secure trailer storage I had to vacate the property by 5:30 or I was locked in and had no access to my boat before 7:00 am and the big doozy…… water was going to be charged upon consumption but the meters have not been installed so he was going to watch me and estimate my usage and charge me accordingly!!!!!! Well needless to say I was floored! I did not argue I just informed him that I was going to go take my boat and find another marina and asked him to credit me for my stay……. Of no surprise he informed me that they do not give credit!!! Thank god I paid with my American Express …a quick call to them and I got my credit! I am a hospitality professional and have been an owner and consultant for over 30 years in hospitality and can honestly say that this place needs help and direction more than any business I have worked with. The location and potential of this facility is amazing but the path they are on now and the facilities and services they offer are so below par that they don’t deserve one star!!!
