When we arrived the dock master told us the wrong slip which already had a boat in it, and fortunately, we were able to make a quick maneuver with a sailboat into the right slip. When asked about bath and showers stated that there weren't any. From previous visit we knew that there was a bathhouse with showers.
Our previous visit 2 years ago the dockmaster was friendly, helpful and full of information about the grounds. We were given a ride to the Inn with a tour of the grounds and some history. This time, we were totally on our own. Arriving at the Inn we were not greeted, no one supplied information about the place and facilities.
Then the bath house, the chain from the toilet handle was broken so you have to list the cover to flush, the sink had a bucket under it because it leaked.
The restaurant was outstanding, service beyond normal and great food.
This place should be the jewel of Casco Bay, the grounds are beautiful, lots of walking trails. The staffing lacks training and oversite.
