West Basin Municipal Marina

This is a wonderfully managed marina! The dock hands are are either helping boaters or cleaning docks. We have never seen a cleaner facility. They even offer rides to town and back! Highly recommend! - MIRTH

We just stayed at West Basin Marina in St Joseph, MI. Over the last few years we have stayed at just about every marina on the west coast and beyond of Michigan from New Buffalo to Drummond Island. This marina is by far the cleanest most kept up of the marinas. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. The staff cleans the spider webs early every morning and is very attentive to everything on the property. Just wish my base Marina would take some lessons from them.

Quaint little harbor. Very friendly people. Nice walk into town. Found the Silver Harbor brewery, a great brewery with vegan food nearby in town. Took a short Uber ride for groceries. We stayed an extra day here because weather was bad and the location was good.

Great location. No bridges to pass. Good protection in all weather. Good fixed docks. Power and water at all slips. Gas, diesel, water, ice, ship’s store, haulout, storage. On wrong side of river for going to town but not a bad walk. No groceries or supplies nearby. Lots of restaurants.
