Absolutely amazing marina, customer service and staff. When lake M got rough they harbormaster made room for us in another slip. A bit shallow in the closer slips but not risky. The whole marina is well cared for and taken care of. The staff use swiffer dusters to knock down spider webs every morning. You usually don’t see that unless you are in a private yacht club. Class act caring for infrastructure and amenities. We really didn’t use the clubhouse but glanced at it. Nicely furnished, clean and well cared for. Cell service is almost non-existent. The marina Wi-Fi seems to have plenty of bandwidth. The docks are open to the public and many couples and families wander by. As long as you don’t mind answering a lot of questions from looky-loos (which I don’t), it’s a great spot. Be sure to set rezzys many weeks in advance. This is a very popular boating destination. You might get lucky the day of arrival without a rezzy but not the best approach. If you can’t get a slip, there is a bay just south of the marina with a shallow hump in the middle that is perfect for anchoring. Not well protected from north or west winds but well protected from S, SW or easterly winds. While the food at the existing restaurants is more than acceptable, this town is dying for a small 5 star bistro. Everything is within an easy 3 block walk from the marina. Jeremy the harbor master goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as it possibly can be. The setting is gorgeous with sunsets that you usually only see in key west. We WILL be returning many many times
