Family-owned for over 60 years, Standish Boat Yard in Tiverton, RI is a welcoming harbor for seasonal and transient boaters alike. We're just a short dinghy ride from The Boat House and Red Dory restaurants, with easy access to Grinnell's Beach and Fogland Beach — and a great jumping-off point for cruises to Newport and Cuttyhunk.

Fuel Dock & Marine Store Our fuel dock is one of the most accessible on the East Bay, offering both gas and diesel. Our marine store is the largest in the area, and if we don't have what you need in stock, we can usually get it by the next day.
Mechanical Services & More Our team handles mechanical repair and parts for Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Mercury, and more. We also offer electronics installation, surveyor referrals, and full hauling, launching, and seasonal storage.

Standish Boatyard is the best boat yard I’ve ever kept a boat at. I’ve been in boats since I was born. I’m now 67. I e been around a lot of boat yards. In the days of corporate owned boatyards , it’s refreshing to keep my Viking at yard that treats us like we are at home with friends and family. SBY is truly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have been a customer for a good 20 years, and I have always had an excellent experience. The experience has only gotten better in recent years with Jennifer and Andrew. They are taking great care of the facility, and are incredibly attentive to the needs of boaters.
So happy to have a mooring at Standish! Jenn and Andrew are incredibly kind and helpful. They are making excellent improvements to the facility. The ships store is well stocked and fuel prices are excellent.
New owners have complete revitalized Standish Boat Yard. All of the amenities have been renovated and they added a great little gift store in the office. Highly recommended for fuel / service or more. On a personal note, one time we fouled our sailboat prop while docking on our dingy line. They secured the boat / cleaned our prop and wouldn’t charge us. Thanks again.
Jennifer and Andrew and their staff - were, once again, so helpful to me this year. I had a mooring for the season. They are moving quickly with continuing to refurbish Standish and it has a bright future! I plan to be back next May from Beaufort, NC, for the summer to enjoy Buzzards Bay, the Sakonnet River, and another trip to Maine! Robert Nevill Gates
Since the new ownership the marina has updated services and facilities. The owners are 100% engaged in our boating and local community for the long haul.
Great place. Very accommodating and friendly people. Excellent chandlery upstairs. We didn't need fuel, but their fuel dock is easy to reach.
We couldn't ask for better! The owners and their staff are knowledgable, kind, and always there to help out. The facilities are always clean and well maintained with upgrades happening all the time! Great location as well.
The new owners have done a fantastic job improving the property. The ship store is well stocked, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. They regularly inspect and replace the mooring hardware as needed—the ball we picked up looked brand new. It’s a quiet, peaceful stop, and we’ll definitely be staying here again.
Made a wonderful base for the Fourth of July weekend. Boatyard has fuel and ice and a lovely ship store with boat necessities as well as some nice gift items.
Could not have been better. From the moment we arrived every staff member was welcoming, friendly, and professional. If you are trying to decide between here and Sakonnet Point Marina, do yourself a favor and stay here. It’s how a marina should be run. 11 out of 10.

We have had a slip at Standish for 5 years now and we absolutely love it. The people who operate the boatyard are friendly and so helpful whenever you need them. The location is perfect for us and boating on the SAKONNET is perfect for our size boat. We love the whole operation and hope to be there for years to come.
