we were given glorified courtesy slips for the Margaritaville restaurant to stay in. The people eating in the restaurant were 2 feet off the back of my boat. Also the pier I was on was also the loading site for a charter boat so there was always a lines of folks coming and going right next to my boat, no security at all. We felt like a zoo exhibit all day and night. We could not wait to get out of that place. We spent $200 for one night slip rental on a 38' boat (the most expensive for our entire trip). Next time in Destin I will just stay anchored in the harbor and call the water taxi to get to the board walk...
