Located at the mouth of Toba Inlet, opposite the entrance to Waddington Channel by Welsh Cove, and tucked behind Double Island, we are a remote, off-grid Marina. We offer power, water and spectacular unobstructed views of the surrounding mountain peaks. A trail system offers a chance to stretch and explore the forest and waterfall.
Epic stay so beautiful. Wonderful people, just lovely.
Can’t say enough good things about Paul and Nahanni. We developed engine troubles up Toba inlet, got a friendly tow from Paul who then proceeded to put in several hours helping us sort out our problem. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to be “stranded“ in. These folks are just the best!
Beautiful marina, with the best showers around and a large covered veranda. Paul and Naholli ate great hosts
Toba Wilderness Marina is a terrific place to stay. The area is stunning, the facilities are terrific, very well maintained, and the hosts could not be more gracious and accommodating. Just loved it! We will be back for sure.
Great service and a wonderful place to stay, my new favorite place
If you haven't been to Toba Wildernest Marina, you're missing one of the best gems in Desolation Sound! Toba Wildnernest is the only marina at or near the gateway to the beautiful Toba Inlet, and the only thing surpassing the top notch location, marina, and facilities are the amazing hosts, Nahanni and Paul. They are *the* most genuine, incredible, knowledgable, and helpful hosts that you'll ever meet at a marina. Not only are they very welcoming, they are incredibly knowledgable of the area and are well connected throughout Desolation and BC, so if you need help or assistance or have questions on places to visit, they have an incredible wealth of information and experience. They even personally helped me on a repair, which was super appreciated, and connected me with great mechanic that was able to get our tender back up and running. The marina has beautiful docks, which they just expanded, with power and linear space for larger yachts. Toba also has a great communal area at the top of the docks, along with a new wash house, and some great hiking trails, including one with a steeper climb to a very picturesque waterfalls. In summary, if you're considering visiting Toba Wildernest, you should absolutely go. It's a great marina in a stunningly picturesque area.
Toba Wilderness Marina is a little piece of paradise. Words cannot fully describe the beauty that surrounds it. Paul and Nahanni are incredibly warm and very gracious hosts. They greet you at the dock with a smile, helping hand and you instantly feel welcomed. Thank you again for the fun Canada Day Celebration, Delicious BBQ and the Orcas;-) We look forward to visiting again and again! Tony and Sherry
Paul and Nahanni are the perfect hosts to a beautiful facility.
Great stop - really nice docks and Paul and Nahanni are so welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed our stay here again this year and will be back!
Beautiful and peaceful setting with professional and friendly marina managers. A treasure.
Our stay was wonderful. We met old friends there and made many new friends. Our marina hosts, Paul and Nahanni were extremely friendly, courteous and accommodating. The marina is very well kept and clean. The trails are great and the view is spectacular. We couldn’t as for a better experience. SNAPSHOT
Paul & Nahanni are wonderful Marina Managers. Super helpful and friendly! Gorgeous location with great views. Docks are top notch with great water and power.
Toba Wilderness Resort is the perfect stop for a boat trip up north. As soon as we tied up we were greeted by Nehanni and Paul. Such wonderful host. The docks are concrete and wide with great power and water. Even better are the views. Beautiful mountains look down on us with all their glory. For some exercise we hiked to the waterfall and then an other trail to get to a glorious view point. These are somewhat steep climbs but we sure felt great getting some exercise. The gathering place on land at the end of the dock is where people mingle under cover in very comfortable outdoor furniture and get to know each other. Very few places create common areas where you can go ashore, read a book or get to know your boating neighbors while cruising.
Toba Wilderness is as beautiful as ever. The new managers, Nahanni and Paul were lovely and welcoming. We look forward to our next visit and will plan to stay longer.
The spectacular view grabs you instantly. You arrive to beautiful docks, a welcome area which is very welcoming, and immaculate restrooms and showers. Then the delightful hosts, Nahanni and Paul, make it even better with fun conversation and great tips of the area. They made us feel completely at home and were extremely helpful. Can’t recommend it more highly.
What an outstanding experience for a variety of reasons (in no particular order) ... 1) Spectacular Views all around 2) Amazing Wildlife - the orca were passing through while we were there 3) hikes available AND the waterfall/hike is stunning (THEIR waterfall bringing the plentiful/delicious water to the docks through elaborate filtration) 4) impeccable, beautiful grounds 5) new docks with water and power at each location 6) new covered, view-oriented gathering area plus new baths/showers and the unexpected and very pleasant cherry on top was both Nahanni and Paul - what delightful human beings these two highly experienced managers are... we also enjoyed James. All went out of their way to ensure our visit was a memorable one. We will be back for sure! Thank you to our amazing hosts!! A special gem indeed!
Fabulous marina! Small, quiet with incredible scenery, snow capped mountains! Docks are first class and the beautiful covered patio with firepits and seating is wonderful. Paul & Nahanni and James run a top of the line operation! They are engaging and work hard to make sure everyone is enjoying their stay! Can't wait to return!
In addition to being an amazing and beautiful location with brand new docks/infrastructure, we were treated like family by Paul, Nehanni, and James. They were warm and delightful hosts, and have done a great job maintaining the marina. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we’ll be back!
Amazingly beautiful place with lovely facilities and trails but it's the wonderful managers Pail and Nohanni and staff James that make all the difference - they are so warm and welcoming. We can't wait to come back!
Toba Wilderness was the highlight of our Desolation Sound trip. The location of the Marina, scenery, waterfalls and hosts make this place special. Paul and Nahanni are very welcoming and make you feel at home while staying here. Chuck and Jenn
Toba Wilderness Marina is a wonderful facility. New docks, showers and restrooms, well kept grounds, interesting hikes and extremely friendly and helpful caretakers Nahanni and Paul made the stay a very pleasant one. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nahanni and Paul are incredible hosts. Best shower facilities on the coast.
Beautiful! Lovely setting, well-cared for grounds, and new washrooms. Great black bear viewing.
Paul and Nahanni were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome. The facility is spotless and of course the location is spectacular. We hope to go again.
Our stay was perfect Paul and Nahanni are excellent hosts and the marina is amazing Looking forward to returning again soon👌
Paul & Nahanni are amazing hosts. Views and surroundings breathtaking. Fresh fish for dinner last night. Say no more 😊❤️
Wonderful Marina. However what makes it special are the people managing the resort. Just amazing attention to details and to help clients. We will be back for sure. Thank you for making our trip a wonderful experience.
Welcome location in a stunning spot, Nahanni and John made us feel like we were home and could stay forever. - Innkeeper.
Great marina. Wonderful people. Location is unique. Make sure you align your dinner table looking east. The evening sunset on the mountain range are absolutely beautiful.
We stayed two nights just as Toba Wilderness Marina opened for the season, and it was a great experience. It is a beautiful setting, hosts Nahanni and Paul are friendly and helpful, and the docks, welcome house, and washroom facilities were top notch. Also, great hiking right on the property. Pro tip: leave your VHF radio on and set to channel 66 while you're docked to get wildlife sighting reports. While we were there, we heard reports of black bears, humpbacks, and dolphins.
This is a great little marina in Desolation Sound. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed a couple of wonderful hiking trails. After the hike enjoyed the fire pit with a bottle of wine. There are not a lot of amenities here, but hey, it is Desolation Sound. Well work the trip.
During a recent visit to Desolation Sound area, my wife and I came across Toba Wilderness. We had the pleasure of staying at Toba in Sept. 2019 for just one night but it was a memorable experience. We did some hiking in the morning after our overnight stay and found some wonderful hiking trails. Kyle was very helpful during our stay which ended up with just our boat being there overnight. The facilities that have been built up by Kyle and Andrea are very comfortable and we will look forward to a visit at some point during the summer period to experience during a vibrant time. Thank you again Kyle for sharing your beautiful piece of the world with us. Kim and Silva
