Most of the staff were really nice and helpful! Some of the newer staff created extra stress while docking unfortunately. They pulled the bow line in too much causing the starboard bow side to rub the dock and then blamed me for going too fast even though I was in neutral/reverse. They then also tied on the bow line on a cleat and when I was double checking everything, I found the cleat wasn’t tied on properly at all and the boat was drifting away on the bow and then I was told they are training. I don’t mind people training on the docks. They need that exposure and experience but let the boat know from the get go as it caused more stress than ease because of inexperience. Overall, I love deer harbor and it’s been almost 10 years since I’ve been here so fun to see some new changes and some of the same nostalgia feelings from last time.
