I've had at least twenty-six years of very satisfactory seasonal dockage at NYC.......beautiful and well run marina with incredible marina staff! Best place in Newport!

Another great visit to Newport RI and the Newport Yachting center. The staff is professional and very helpful. The docks and the facilities are well maintained. You are in the heart of Newport with the best view of the harbor too. We will definitely return.

Great marina overall. But the Wifi leaves a lot to be desired. they put us on the south face dock which affords a great view of the traffic in the harbor and the sunsets.

The staff is professional and accommodating - beautiful views - right in center of the action with restaurants, shops, and bars!

Race Week is always more comfortable staying at Newport Yachting Center. They provide amazing service!

Many events with noise. But respectfully quieted after 10p weekdays and 11p on Saturday. Good service by dock hands.

They really went out of their way on everything to make me feel extra special and give help where help wasn’t actually required

Superb dock staff. Responded quickly to any request. The staff should be hired by other marinas to teach proper dock manners and safety during off season.

The facilities are very nice, and it is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only real complaint we have is that there are no provisions for walking a dog.

We have been here for the past several years. We enjoy the location, friendly staff and clean facilities.

Newport Yachting Center is our favorite Marina to visit. All of the staff are very friendly and professional. The Dockmaster Carter is so accommodating and helpful. Each time we visit there is always someone on the dock to welcome us and assist with tying up. Their restrooms are very clean. They have a rooftop deck to relax on and watch the sun set. They are centrally located to great restaurants and bars. On many a weekend evening there is usually a wedding taking place which is always enjoyable to watch or listen to the music. Would definitely recommend NYC if visiting Newport.

Enjoyed a phenomenal visit and stay this past weekend! Chuck, Carter and the team do an amazing job at a beautiful location in Newport Harbor. Great team, amenities and views. (And yes, the fresh baked cookies upon arrival are a nice touch).

Great marina, I would give it 5 stars but the Trafic in front of the marina rocks the boats a lot during the day. Harbormaster is definitely not doing his jobs. Some of the other marina docks are position boat E-W so boat don’t rock as much.

Floating dockss are long and designed for very large yachts. We were right on the outside on the harbor with great views but subject to wake, although for the most part, it was very calm. A 115 foot yacht bowthrusted in behind us. Our friends in a 36 sail boat were stuck well inside behind sky scaper yachts with no view and no air. The facility is right next to Bowens wharf so a short walk from the center of the action. There is nothing at the marina but clean bathrooms/showers, fuel dock/pumpout and a small area to sit on a raised deck. Staff are very nice and competent with the lines.

This was one of our best stops we made on this trip. The staff and marina focused on every little detail to insure we had a great stay. The marina is just about centered to all of the shops. stores, and restaurants. Definitely a marina to stay at when in Newport

Spontaneous visit to Newport, first time to Newport Yachting Center and couldn't be more pleased! Great staff, facilities, location....Clean, newer, even a cookie and a koozy at check-in...can't beat that!!

I got to say I have given some bad reviews of some of the marinas I've been too, the most recent in Montauk. However Newport Yachting center is really at the top of there game. It's super clean and the staff are on point at all times. In an effort to avoid harsh weather we decided we would come in a day early. I expected at best to get a Mooring or drop anchor in Harbor. To my surprise when I called ahead the marina was able to accommodate us without an issue at the dock. They even gave us the option of leaving a day early if we didn't want to pay for the extra day. When we arrived into the harbor we were able to communicate with plenty of time by radio. The dock master new exactly where we were to dock and which side so we can prepare fenders and lines ahead of time for a Port side tie up. We easily passed the other boats already tied up with around 10 feet on each side of our boat clearance. The dock hands also climbed on adjacent boats with massive round fenders just in case I lost control. I did not.... The dock hands not only tied the boat using a double spring line for our 51 foot boat but also setup the 50 Amp electric and water. Half way thru our stay we needed an emergency pump out and as luck would have it they pumped out the boat free of charge at the gas dock since it was too late at night for the pump out boat to come. We stayed a total of 6 nights and I am looking forward to the next time we come back. BTW the marina was dog friendly however the nearest grass is a couple minute walk to America's Cup Ave. We also Rented a car for while we stayed. Directly outside the marina we were able to park for $20 per night. This made going to the store or on the mansion tours + Cliff walk super convenient.

Caters to very large yachts. Not really looking for smaller (>40ft) sailboat. Extremely expensive. Large mega yacht shut down the fuel dock. Dock corners have no bumpers, and have exposed metal couplings. Dock hands were immature and uncoordinated, causing confusion.

This is our third stay at the Newport Yachting Center. We love the location, spotless bathrooms and the roof deck to watch the sun set over the harbor.

The dock-hands were awesome! Very helpful with docking and casting off. This was especially important , b/c our sailboat has no thrusters. Gas facility is efficient. The place was clean. Electricity and water hook-ups were fine. Restrooms and showers were clean. Very close to restaurants, stores etc. The only criticism is the loud music from the wedding / party facility on the premises. We had to scramble to get ear-plugs so we could sleep. This should probably me mentioned on the website. Having said that, we would use this marina again.

Pretty good. Dock staff friendly. Only issue which was resolved was that we were buried deep in a side tie up slip with larger boats in front of us making it impossible to leave till these boats left. Luckily the marina and other boat owners agreed to jockey around so we were positioned to to be first boat out. In hind site should make it known the approximate time we would like leave when making reservation to try and avoid issue ,

I was disappointed that on our first night at the marina, even though we requested 50 amp/240 service, we got 50 amp/208 service which is not enough to run my A/C units, without causing possible damage to the equipment. This issue was rectified the following day by moving us to a berth with the proper electrical service.

Great location and staff. Only thing missing was on premise laundry facilities.

Wonderful place. We had a great time. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. Great restaurants close by but make your reservations early. Try the Mooring. The food is delish

We had an excellent 3 nights at the marina. The staff was courteous and helpful. The marina was clean and quiet in the evening. Everything that is needed was within walking distance. The facilities were spotless. We will be back.

We rented a car while in port and paid thru Thursday but was asked to leave lot before end of day to make room for catering function huests.

Pleasant as usual. Dockhands very helpful. New docks were at great surprise as well as the view from the top of the dockhouse...

Amazing! The staff and deckhands were kind, courteous and helpful. Facilities were new and clean. We were welcomed with freshly baked cookies and a small gift. The marina is in the middle of all attractions however is quiet and we did not have the foot traffic peering into our boat that we've had at other marinas nearby. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! Will definitely be back!

The absolute TOP boating destination in downtown Newport with breathtaking harbor views and sunsets! The best of everything is just right around the corner… Superb restaurants, cafes and music. The marina and fuel dock are exceptionally well run and the staff is all about customer service…. very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable people. Everything is done with a smile and nothing is too much to ask. FANTASTIC! ~~~_)~~*~~

left Phone message asking where to dock. No answer. Found a spot ok.

Good location, wasn’t open when I arrived, stayed in the fuel dock. No hook up for 30amp without an adapter so was unable to use any power.

Staff at the fuel dock was Okay but could have been more attentive. I took on 160 gallons and requested the High speed diesel but the dock boy told me he was informed not to use the high speed. So I was around 30+ minutes pumping at the lower speed, delaying our departure while other boat were waiting to get to the fuel dock. Maybe I don't undestand business but moving more product means more revenue for the business and also meeting the customers request means a better review.

Upon arrival, in a heavy westerly wind a extension to a power post scratched my topsides. The dock staff was ineffective and unknowing.

Repeat visits. Always a pleasure. Great service & staff! We will return.

Marina facility was excellent and the bathrooms were spotless. Problem is there were wedding receptions every night we were there (Fri, Sat, Sun) in a tent right on the dock with loud music until 11. So loud it was difficult to have a conversation in my cockpit.

We love coming to the Newport Yachting Center Marina , fabulous stay , see you again at the end of the month !

Excellent staff, great location. Might ding a half star for a couple items...no cable and the WiFi for streaming was a little inconsistent even though there was a booster 20’ from our stern. Might also suggest slightly longer shower curtains or installing shower doors as water from the showers seems to find its way out on to the floors of the otherwise very clean heads. Overall had a great stay and really enjoy this marina...have stayed here 5-6 times and intend to be back.
