Safe Harbor Capri was a great spot on Long Island to spend a week. We had been traveling non-stop and needed a secure spot to rest and get some boat chores done. We're a catamaran so we are usually placed on t-heads that can be rolly, but because the marina is in a protected cove with a 5 knot speed limit, there are virtually zero wakes. We do draft approximately 3'8" and had about a foot below us at low tide, so the depth at our slip was only about 4'8" - something to keep in mind if you are a deeper draft vessel. We needed a rental car and had no issue finding parking as there was always plenty, even in the evenings when the restaurant that is on-site was busy. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby, so we were able to re-provision and get everything we needed within a 10 minute drive. We had an early departure planned when it was time to go, but needed fuel first. They were really accommodating to let us fuel up the night before and stay on the fuel dock for the evening for our early morning departure without having to head back to our original slip. We would definitely stop again if we're in the area!
