Rosario Marina is under new ownership, and it’s definitely not the “old Rosario” many of us remember. The beautiful landscaping is gone — the grass is dead, there are no flowers, and the hotel and spa are no longer operating.
We made our reservation through DockWa and had a confirmation number in hand, but when we arrived, they said we didn’t have a reservation. After showing our confirmation, they said, “Oh, we can fit you in,” and did find us a spot — but it was a confusing and less-than-welcoming arrival.
As a business owner myself, I don’t believe in bashing other businesses, but I do think people should know what to expect. There’s no store, no pump-outs, and not much activity. That said, it is very quiet — so if you’re looking for a peaceful and simple stopover, it may suit your needs. Just don’t expect the Rosario of the past.
