Tangier Island is an extremely interesting and unique place to visit on the Chesapeake Bay. The island is small and is easily toured on foot, bike, or by golf cart. The town has several striking cultural differences from the surrounding mainland such as a charming accent, driveways specifically fitted for the house's personal golf cart as opposed to a car, and small burial patches in their front lawns for their predecessors. Mr. Park is a very charming host and he lives onsite. There are a few face docks for transients and a bathhouse for guests. Several restaurants are just a block or two from the marina. We recommend staying overnight and then moving on to explore Onancock the next day which is not far and is a very nice destination.
