About
The Marina at IYRS School of Technology & Trades is located in the heart of Newport, RI with world-class museums, restaurants, boating, and more a stone's throw away. The marina at IYRS is part of the school's 3-acre campus on the Newport harbor front. IYRS welcomes visitors to its campus to explore the Boatbuilding & Restoration Program in Restoration Hall, built in 1903 as Newport's electric generating plant; to the Brooks Building which is home to the school's Marine Systems, Composites Technology and Digital Modeling & Fabrication program; and to the IYRS Maritime Library on the 4th Floor of the John Mecray Mill Building

These guys are great. They took our Hylas 70 sailboat during the Newport Boat show, shuffled boats around and gave me a premium spot at the end of the dock for easy docking access. Short walk to greater restaurants in town. Simple, safe, well made dock with no thrills or amenities but we don’t need them. Only missing one star because the voltage on the dock was not 120volts per leg to safely charge my lithium banks. I would absolutely keep my yacht here again and will visit seasonally. Hard to find and know exactly where we were going at first but once we got ahold of someone via the chat option in Dockwa and we were settled in it was great. The space is great but knowing how to get in touch with someone was stressful for a moment. The phone number in the app doesn’t work.
