Introduction:
Bunkers Harbor is situated on the east side of the Schoodic Peninsula just north of Schoodic Harbor. It is two and a half miles east of Winter Harbor by land and three miles north of Schoodic Point at the end of the Schoodic Peninsula. Bunkers Harbor opens up to the east into Prospect Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. Mainly a commercial fishing port, Bunkers Harbor does have diesel fuel, gas and a limited amount of other provisioning possibilities.

Navigating the Water:
Use NOAA Chart 13324.

Bunkers Ledge is the main obstruction to Bunkers Harbor, and is marked by a green can buoy. Depths shallow on this ledge to six feet or less and there is also an unmarked north hook to the ledge past the can buoy, which is very clearly shown on the chart. Keep a close watch on your depth sounder until you reach the 25- to 28-foot depths in the harbor itself.

Farther up the harbor is an anchorage and mooring field, with limited space. This is mainly a port for lobstering and fishing boats.
