Bass Harbor |
Tremont Town Dock is a municipal marina with 160’ of floating dock, serving boaters in the Bass Harbor area. Looking for something to eat? Just a short walk from our docks, Thurston's Lobster Pound serves fresh-caught Maine lobster. If you want to explore during your stay, we are a 10 minute drive to Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. Due to our close proximity to the heart of Acadia National Park, a wide variety of hiking trails are also available within a short drive.
The dockmaster was very friendly. But it was just a floating dock out in the harbor with no facilities. Note: My Verizon cell service was very sketchy. It would be better if the wifi which seemed to have a strong signal had a login.
Great dock, great LOBSTER, great little shop around the corner.
There are no services, no rest rooms, no water, and the floating dock is anchored out in the Harbor. So, you need a dinghy to get ashore.
Everything worked out perfectly! Great communication.
Floating docks kind of a mooring without facilities. Dock master was nice the ambiance is pretty, fishing village.
This was an excellent spot to keep our center console for a few days. Justin was so helpful. The views from the marina are among the most beautiful on the island, and it was remarkable to see the Bass Harbor lighthouse from the water after only seeing it from land. The lighthouse is moments away from the harbor.
Great, friendly service. Justin, harbourmaster is very helpful and accommodating. Nice town, highly recommend mdi boathouse for outboard motor repairs. Beautiful Bay.
We stayed on the town floats for 3 nights waiting for weather to clear and found that the harbor was a great place to be. Thurston's Lobster Pound is a short dinghy ride away and the food is great. Justin, the Harbor Master, is very friendly and helpfull. He dove on my boat and pulled off a large jelly fish that had attached itself to the strainer for the raw water intake to the genset. I highly recommend stopping here to experience the sights and sounds of a real fishing port.
This is not a dock, it’s a float. Guess that explains the price. No real facilities and no staff. Not bad for what it is but the description in Dockwa should be updated.
