Key Largo Harbor |
The Key Largo Marina is located at Mile Marker 100, Oceanside in Key Largo Florida. We are a 77 slip marina that can accommodate boats up to 60 feet in length with up to a 20 foot beam. We have double 30 amp and single 50 amp electric service available within the marina, along with water and cable TV at each slip. Telephone service is also available to our monthly customers.
When staying at our Marina, you will have access to Marina Del Mar’s amenities including the pool, hot tub, fitness center, bathroom & shower, laundry facilities, on-site boat ramp, and a daily light fare continental breakfast. (Please note that the boat ramp has restrictions, so call 800-451-3483 and ask for the Dock Master for full details. The marina is a jet-ski free zone, please refrain from zooming through the area).
The marina has all the amenities any boater needs and partnered with surrounding hotels to ensure all guests’ needs are met regardless of slip assignment. We visited both Skippers Dockside and Sharkeys pub which are conveniently on-site. Both places has exceptional food and pleasant, accommodating staff. Fuel being on the way was helpful. The dockmaster/marina check in staff were communicative and thorough. We enjoyed the one night we stayed so much that we picked up a second night on our way back home. Strongly recommend.
Great experience. Our dockwa booking was confirmed within an hour and the marina sent a very thorough email with all the details we needed. Ian the harbormaster gave us a call the morning of our trip and was on the dock to greet us when we arrived. He took the time to show us the best way to tie up in our slip. Location is superb with both the marina's hotel, holiday Inn, and 2 restaurants accessible right from the docks. Many stores and other restaurants within easy walking distance.
Very old wooden docks. A bit of a challenge going through the canal with large boats docked on both sides. The worst problem was when you encounter another large boat going the opposite direction in the narrow canal.
Crazy tight canal to get there . Not as clean and nice as the pictures make it look. I would say overpromised and under delivered. It was fine, but nothing special . A lot of deferred maintenance happening .
Great location! The Dockmaster was waiting for us and helped to moor the boat. The restaurants are closed by
A quiet, charming, well protected marina (we sat out 40-50 mph gusty storm in comfort). Great help from Ian on planning our entrance and getting into our slip. A great guy. Tiki bar served good food. Doc’s Diner across the street served a very good, large breakfast. Multiple pools. Uber within minutes to Publix, etc.
Excellent service. Dockmaster was most welcoming and helpful. He stayed late after hours to greet us as we were late. Solved the electrical connection Would come back
Nice breakfast, clean bathroom, you can use swimming pool, ice machine and Landry machine..all was nice
The Dockmaster was very helpful and responded quickly to our needs.
Beautiful marina, great central Key Largo location for boat access, restaurants, boat charters, etc. We dropped our dinghy in the water and enjoyed boating the beautiful canals, bar and food hopping,.. great time! Dockmaster Ian was awesome, very quick to answer email, gave us his cell number, and provided complete directions to our slip and was here waiting for us upon arrival. Thank you!!
A lovely location. Good amenities. Unfortunately, very loud at night from out of town partiers, then loud again early in the morning from fishermen getting ready to go out. If you get to sleep between midnight and 5am, consider yourself lucky.
Great staff and a good location. Will stay here again.
Friendly staff. Dockmaster (Ian) was very helpful. Thank you Ian! Would love to see a weekly rate. Wouldn’t mind staying a few weeks or a month at a decent weekly rate. Received very helpful information in advance on how to approach entrance. Avoid going in at low tide as there is a shallow spot. We had no issues as we timed our arrival. Clean marina and well protected.
The marina was a great location and Daniel the dock master is excellent. You all should be proud of him. The only reason I do not give it a five star is that the showers and bathrooms available need to be remodeled. I hope to be back soon.
I’m writing this review without actually staying at the Marina. Was headed down from Ft. Lauderdale outside when our starboard fuel cooler failed and was leaking into bilge at a fair clip. Soooo, we headed in at Miami on one engine after pumping bilge of course. In the midst of this(before even getting in shore at Miami)this marina called us for routine “when you arriving?” call. I let them know that we had an ongoing mechanical failure preventing us from getting to the marina for that night(Friday) and the Sunday of same weekend. I asked if I could just get a credit for the two nights since we live close and would definitely be back down. I was told this would be relayed to the dock master and never heard anything more. Fast forward two days where I receive a disappointing call from Daniel, I think it was. Long and short, they stuck me with that friday dockage fee since I was within the cancellation window. I get it, but I’ve never had a marina actually stick it to me, when I clearly had a mechanical and was requesting a credit. I think his side was that the person I talked to wasn’t authorized to handle this etc. I just needed to know that and I would have called them back! Also cancelled with Faro Blanco for the next night because of this mechanical and they wished us well and didn’t charge us. I expect the marina to get on here and give “their side” exonerating them, etc. I will just say that I have been at this a while up north on the East Coast, and I have not seen this sort of robotic, alienating customer service leveled on a boater clearly having a mechanical failure causing the cancel—and asking for a credit for a future stay, geez.
Friendly staff (thanks Ian). Docking gets you access to breakfast at Hotel, and access to 3 pools. Good food nearby.
Good marina and nice staff. Restrooms and laundry were old but very clean and had good A/C. Descent restaurant next door
Arrived from Marathon 15:30, welcomed by DM Daniel, he was very kind and professional. Helped us with our ropes, water & electrical supply and other local infomation etc. The entire staf was very helpful, nice continental breakfast in the morning. Highly recomended.
The marina was nice (the restrooms and showers, were average at best, though) and very well protected. Daniel was there to greet us, when we got there, and was helpful tying us up and gave us information on all of the property amenities. The restaurant was great as well. Be ware that the marina doesn't answer the marine radio. They did call me earlier that morning and left a voice mail, but I was coming across Florida Bay with no coverage, and didn't get the VM until after I got there (thanks, Verizon). Regardless, when I didn't raise them on the radio, I called them on the phone and talked to them that way.
Location was very convenient. Dock Master Danniel was very helpful. Will be returning again next summer.
Quiet tucked in marina with nightly live music at the restaurants nearby. Low tide gets quite shallow right before the jetty (4-5'). Tons of tourist snorkel, fishing, diving boats coming in and out 3x day. The use of the different hotel amenities was a nice perk. The dockmaster, Daniel, was awesome with helping us get into our slip upon arrival.
Great place. Shady walkways. Outdoor picnic area. Huge swimming pool. Clean bathrooms. Good restaurants nearby. A little tight on the entry canal but we made it on our 37 fr boat just fine.
Unfortunately, we only had a one night stop over at MdM, it really looks like a great place. Staying on your boat makes the use of the amenities of the three resorts a bargain that you just can't find elsewhere in the area. The marina offers a couple of different options for docking - including side ties against the canal wall, and slips with finger piers. Bulkheads, finger piers, and shore power/water pedestals are in good condition. The Dockmaster, Daniel Watson is is top notch and did a great job handing our reservations (including a change due to weather) and was there to great us and assist in docking when we arrived. He then provided a full run down on what the marina and resort had to offer and answered all our questions. Hopefully next time we'll be able to stay a bit longer and enjoy more of the resort.
We had a great experience at Marina Del Mar. It is a bit tricky getting in there but once you are in it is great. Very quiet. Nice amenities being able to use all the pools and showers. Great walking to many restaurants, Walgreens etc as well. Quick Uber to Publix. Very easy to reserve and quick responses from the Dockmaster. Also had packages shipped. Thank you for a great stay.
What a beautiful facility. Friendly people, helpful on the dock, clean, great setting. Looking forward to returning next time!
Daniel is the best. The vibe is nice and it's easy to relax. Please remember to use your radio on the way in as instructed. We'll be back!
We anchored at Rodriguez Key outside the entrance. Marina Del Mar has excellent instructions how to enter and how to radio in. The channel is narrow. The Marina is great! Unground pool. Very new patio/pool furniture. Many comfortable lounge areas. Laundry room. Shower facilities. Tiki bar with pretty good food! Dive shop, dollar store and restaurants are close. Grocery store is a bit further. Not a walkable distance carrying groceries. Office is open until 10 pm. Live music at tiki bar. Staff is friendly. Can’t say enough about this Marina. We loved it!
We grew to love the place but the initial reception could have been much better. There was nobody to help us into a skinny slip, no dockhands. Our neighbor did come out to help and after we were all tied up we were greeted by marina rep with information needed. \nThe showers at the Marriott were the best we have seen on the ICW. Laundry was also good- only 2 machines but nobody else used them. The pools are nice and Skippers restaurant was fun. We also enjoyed seeing the fishing boats come in and their catch. Nice resort atmosphere.
It was our second time utilizing the Marina. We enjoy the centralized location with easy access to restaurants. I have to give a BIG shout-out to Daniel, the dock master. He went the extra mile in helping us dock our boat. In fact, once we docked, Daniel learned we were staying at Marriott across the canal and offered to help us relocate to another slip in front of the hotel. His patience, calmness, and instructional support (we are still learning our new boat) was wonderful. He is a great dock master!! We look forward to staying there again!
Marina personnel were very helpful both docking and with directions. The marina was well sheltered and quiet. Access to the various hotels and pools was a big plus. They don’t have fuel but the dive shop 100 yards up the canal did. The restaurant was better than we expected. I would go back again.
After a bad experience at another marina, we were lucky enough to find this gem with no notice. The dock master, Daniel, was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Truly exemplary service and a fantastic experience. Everyone at the property was great and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms at the hotel, and wonderful staff.
Great place, nice marina and the service is awesome. Dockmaster is very good. The Canal is narrow, but still overall is very good.
Great place. Not easy to get in but once there 3 pools, lots of restaurants. Daniel the Dockmaster is great.
Great little marina with no shortage of anything you could want. We were transiting after shipping our boat from the west coast. Marina Del Mar seemed to make sense for us since they had a Marriott property on sight. Three hotels on site and access to the pools of all three, decent breakfast included and a nice outdoor restaurant. Entry is unique but easily manageable if you pay attention. Excellent directions provided by the harbor master. We came in after closing but getting in was a piece of cake thanks to the thorough approach and slip directions. Only thing I should have done was grab some fuel on the way out from the fuel dock just around the corner. Looking forward to coming back for a longer stay.
Nice place to visit, but not any assistant there, just a place to slip a boat, unbelievable no pump out service, no fuel station, just water electricity and storage The pool nice, brakefast poor, dock master has any knowledge about places or may be don’t care about customers satisfied
Great facilities, convenient Oceanside location, easy to navigate, new pedestals with ample power hookups. Great restaurant on site, Skippers. Try the calamari and mahi tacos. Even have free dockage for the restaurant. Daniel is a really great Dockmaster and easy to work with!
I agree with Jpowers but, Docks are ageing, channel is narrow with lots of boat traffic and a Lot of Partying and Noise on weekends. Many strange people walking around so Keep your stuff locked up! The good - is there is gas and full service marinas close by. You can walk to any store you would need. Pool is very nice. There is a Breakfast and Hotel! And Candi is a great dock master! Coconuts has been closed april 20013...
