OK first off the location and address in the posting are wrong. Fort Worden St. Park is near Port Towesend Washington about 120 NM by water from Olympia. It is a wonderful park but has only a few mooring buoys that you will be lucky to find open in the season. The bottom is good for anchoring but aside from a day trip I would use caution. It is very exposed to weather from both Admiralty Inlet and the Straits of Juan de Fuca. The park is best visited by land. I have put in at Port T and biked to the park
