Same as last year. There is no DockMaster for Manteo Waterfront Marina. No answer on VHF ch 16. No help in docking. ( Dockmaster's office closed ) Manteo is using Dockwa in place of a DockMaster. We were assigned a slip that was impossible for us to get off the boat. Finger piers are too short. Marina is often bouncy from wind and wakes. We love the town and will keep coming back. Manteo needs to hire a permanent DockMaster to oversee the marina operations.
Finger piers are too short and nothing between you and the boat next to you. Nice dockmaster and he wants the facility updated with longer finger piers.
