Jack and other dock crew were great. We love making Saybrook point a stop every year. Facilities and restaurant are tops. If anyone is reading, one small request…give a little more bacon and Canadian bacon when one orders sides 😀
Beautiful docks and facilities. The pool is large, clean and has plenty of chairs and tables around. Restrooms and showers are clean and the location is both quiet and very scenic.
Serious Bug Problem - When we arrived, someone was in the dock office complaining about bugs and asking what the marina was doing to combat the issue (they said nothing is being done). Walking down the dock a different transient warned me to keep all our cabin lights off after dark to help avoid a flying bug infestation. Well...they were right. All it took was to have the cabin door open a few seconds at night and my headliner and valances were filled with bugs. It took an hour with a vacuum to get rid of them. It was absolutely horrible. If I could do it over again, I would avoid this place at all cost. UPDATE: After reading the marina’s response, I went to the office (since I was still here). However, they said the review responses are handled by a sister marina. I left a message but never heard back. I feel that the responses on here are a little disingenuous.
