Serious Bug Problem - When we arrived, someone was in the dock office complaining about bugs and asking what the marina was doing to combat the issue (they said nothing is being done). Walking down the dock a different transient warned me to keep all our cabin lights off after dark to help avoid a flying bug infestation. Well...they were right. All it took was to have the cabin door open a few seconds at night and my headliner and valances were filled with bugs. It took an hour with a vacuum to get rid of them. It was absolutely horrible. If I could do it over again, I would avoid this place at all cost. UPDATE: After reading the marina’s response, I went to the office (since I was still here). However, they said the review responses are handled by a sister marina. I left a message but never heard back. I feel that the responses on here are a little disingenuous. We are spraying the marina daily, and we make sure to address the bugs with a daily sweep through the island. We always want to make our customers' experiences exceptional, and we would have loved to discuss your concerns in person while you were here, as well. We are continuing to pursue eco-friendly and aggressive plans for the bugs. Thank you!
