Zahniser’s moorings have been one of our go to stops along the way. Before they sold to Safe Harbor a ball was around 30$ a night. When Safe Harbor first took over they changed the rate policy and went to a dollar per foot. For our boat that was a cost of $42. Imagine my surprise when we pull in November 2022, pick up a ball and call the office to register. Was told to register through Dockwa and found the new rate is $1.50 a foot!! That’s a big jump for a mooring! We were just doing an in and out so didn’t even get off the boat to use any of their amenities. That’s the most we have EVER paid for a mooring. I’m thinking we will not be back.

Great stay on a mooring ball at Safe Harbor Beaufort. Great pick up float! Captain loved that his hand didn’t get slimy! One suggestion for here, and all marinas, is to have a map of the marina and/or mooring field on their website. Properly labeled map, and moorings that are labeled, would make for easier communication with dock/office about which moorings are available or suitable for boat size.

A marina with great potential. They have a beautiful set up but just "unfinished". Super helpful manager and staff. We had 3 Dock hands ready to help us come in. The docks are very nice and we had great wifi. They had a pump out boat that comes around several days a week. They did have showers but be aware they are in a trailer. You have to hold the knob on for water to stay on and we had trouble with the showers draining. When we mentioned it to the staff they fixed the drainage problem immediately. Also their fuel docks are out of commission until maybe January. They had to move the fuel docks for the channel to be dredged and that has not happened yet. No laundry facilities. Short walk to downtown and there is a free trolley that runs every 20 minutes. Wish the best to Pete and his staff. I think they will make this a top notch marina.
