Derecktor's is a great boat yard, it's owner-operated, Tom Derecktor is one of the most knowledgeable people on boating/marine equipment topics I've ever met. Seaworthiness is my top priority and theirs as well, they don't cut any corners. And their prices are very competitive. I highly recommend them!
This is a truly beautiful spot, the weather is great, people are friendly, the harbor area is clean and up-scale, but prices at restaurants and local shops are still decent. The marina looks brand new, everything well maintained, nothing in disrepair. Fairways are nice and wide, my slip was easy to find. The one thing that was a bit annoying, the local sea lion population took over an empty slip and were quite vocal... which of course set my dogs off a couple dozen times -- which did not make me less annoyed! But when the doggies settled down it wasn't too bad; the sea lions left in the morning and haven't come back, yet. But I'm not going to take a star away, probably nothing legal the marina can do... (they're lucky I don't have a harpoon!) :-)
