Safe Harbor Ventura Isle

Great location, secure, bathrooms and showers very clean, all staff I met and talked to very friendly and easy to work with! This is my 5th visit to Safe Harbor Ventura Isle and I will be back Bronco Billy!

Fantastic hospitality and support with exceptionally clean and modern restrooms and docks. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Friendly, professional staff make it easy to enjoy a couple of days tied up to a dock.

Our boat ran into difficulties with the rudder during an offshore race. Garrett and crew quickly provided a slip to go to and allowed the boat to stay until the boatyard could look at it. The docks are new and the facilities immaculate. The team was incredibly helpful and friendly during a difficult time!

Beautiful newly renovated marina. Helpful staff. Ventura Harbor has two fuel docks (with fair prices and good service), and numerous restaurants and shops. It is protected from the winds of the Santa Barbara Channel. A wonderful trip to the Channel Islands! Our second trip to Ventura Harbor and this marina was just as much fun as the first! Safe Harbor Ventura Isle marina is clean, comfortable, and fun. It is within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants. Just a great little vacation!!

Everything was great. Our assigned slip was waiting for us upon arrival. Check in could not have been easier when I was handed our packet, including gate keys. Departure did not have been easier, leaving our gate keys in the dock box. Everything from the docks to the bathrooms were clean and had a new appearance to them. It was nice to see patio furniture, and areas with grills and heaters set up for marina tenants.

Friendly staff, well managed, will come back

Great marina, nice people. It was a bit stressful getting fuel at the Mavco fuel dock the morning of departure. Another large sailboat was fueling when we arrived so we stood off. As the other big boat left a smaller fishing boat passed us and took our spot. Then when we did get in, the emphasis was on getting us out so they could sell bait to the fishing boats. No fun and an hour delay. Plan accordingly.

Safe Harbor Ventura Isle Marina is absolutely Spectacular! In fact, we loved it so much, we moved our boat there permanently from Marina Del Rey! All the staff are super friendly and helpful and the facilities are top notch, the best we’ve ever seen in all of our travels. 10 stars!!!

I’m not allowed to stay because no one will write an insurance policy for a 40+yo boat!

I have visited Ventura and Santa Barbara (from Cabrillo Way Marina in San Pedro) many times and can say without a doubt my favorite marina to visit is Safe Harbor in Ventura. Their facilities are excellent and the staff is always helpful and very friendly. I hope to keep visiting for many years, or possibly keep my Dufour 42 there if I spend more time in that area in the future. Enjoy!

We stayed at Safe Harbor Ventura Isle this fall 2023 during a cruise down the coast from San Francisco Bay to the Channel Islands, and truly can't speak highly enough about this wonderful marina. They had space for our 40' catamaran, which is difficult to find, were incredibly welcoming, and the entire facility is gorgeous, modern and well-maintained. Power and water on the dock, a pump-out station nearby, and fuel at nearby facilities meant all services were taken care of. A welcome packet with two docks keys on lanyards and information brochures gave us what we needed to access updated bathrooms with showers and laundry room with multiple machines. And of course a short walk takes you to the vibrant waterfront with restaurants and shops nearby. The location is a little on the outside of town, so an Uber was needed to provision at a full grocery store, but two marine stores are within walking distance - a full retail marine supply store, as well as an incredible marine consignment store. This is the place to stay if you are passing through the area and are in need of services! Thanks so much, Ventura Isle!

Outstanding! Clean, new docks with clean power/high-pressure water, professional, efficient, friendly, and helpful - a great stop on the central coast. Easy access to supplies, sundries, activities, restaurants, shops, and the Channel Islands.

Clean, secure, accommodating marina with a great community vibe. The docks are in great shape and the staff are courteous and attentive to your needs. Safe Harbour Ventura Isle is a mini destination with nearby shops, restaurants, a pub with live music and recreation areas for beach volleyball and even funky paddle boats to rent and tour around the harbour. A great grocery store (Vons) is a five minute Uber ride away from the marina.

This place remains one of our favorites. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and responsive. We have been here numerous times and they never disappoint. The facilities are so clean and nice - bathrooms are immaculate. We will be back.

This is a great marina. I stayed for about a week while transiting through the area. Very friendly and efficient staff, very clean bathrooms, and seemingly new facilities. I would happily stay there again.

This is a truly beautiful spot, the weather is great, people are friendly, the harbor area is clean and up-scale, but prices at restaurants and local shops are still decent. The marina looks brand new, everything well maintained, nothing in disrepair. Fairways are nice and wide, my slip was easy to find. The one thing that was a bit annoying, the local sea lion population took over an empty slip and were quite vocal... which of course set my dogs off a couple dozen times -- which did not make me less annoyed! But when the doggies settled down it wasn't too bad; the sea lions left in the morning and haven't come back, yet. But I'm not going to take a star away, probably nothing legal the marina can do... (they're lucky I don't have a harpoon!) :-)

Clean and modern docks and fair price. Garrett, the manager and Marisa and Lacy in the office are nothing short of fantastic. Couldn’t ask for better customer service! Easy walk to restaurants & bars. Planning on getting a slip for our boat every winter (we are from Anacortes, WA.) We will definitely stay again. Continuation…due to weather we have been stuck at Safe Harbor and it looks to be that way until mid-April. That has NOT necessarily been a bad thing. We are discovering the area and really like it better than LA. No traffic, less expensive food and entertainment, great restaurants and museums and a slower pace. We will be returning from Alaska in September of this year and use Ventura as our base of exploration for the Channel Islands during next fall and winter.

Great harbor and great staff

The marina is in very good condition overall. The facility is "like new" condition. The staff are friendly and helpful. Especially like the laundry room.

Had a great experience for a new boater, Lacey got us setup ahead of time with slip maps and reservation. Bathrooms were always clean and smell good, free wifi, docks are in great condition. Lacey even got us a band aid after my cut her finger on our boat. Thanks to everyone.

Very clean and very safe marina. They issue you a key for the showers and laundry when you check in. The Dokwa app shows they have no amenities here, but this must be a typo or something, this marina has everything you would get at your home marina, but the facilities look brand new and everything is super clean. Super nice staff when you call in or when you visit the office. Will come back for sure.

Great service, easy to book.

This marina is hands down the best marina I have been to. The facilities were clean and easily accessible, the dock was in perfect shape and safe. We rode out nearly gale force winds at this marina as if it was a gentle breeze. The people who work at this marina were super nice and always willing to help. Marissa who works in the office was very kind and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She really made our stay top notch!

i had a very nice 3 night stay while transiting up the coast from San Pedro to Channel Islands National Park. UsingDockwa was a new experience and relatively painless. The 50 ft. slip I was assigned was an easy fit for my 31 ft. sailboat. The electrical connector was the same as my home slip so no problems there. The access fob was left in the dock box so the whole process was accomplished with no contact as required during these Covid19 days. The bathrooms and showers were spotless and there was plenty of free parking.

Always a pleasurable stay. Particularly quiet this time (as the State (plus) remains on strict social distancing status). The staff, although we have not seen them much, ate very responsive to our requests and are always courteous.
