We were very impressed with the staff we encountered. From radio communications to obtain our mooring ball assignment, launch operators, fuel/water dock line handlers, and office staff - everyone was professional, knowledgeable, capable, and friendly/greeted guests. Throughout everyone was consistent. The marina managers should be very proud. My review this year is essentially the same (the staff is amazing and professional) - what is different? I would suggest the launch slow down as they are working their way through the fleet. Iām sure someone must have complained that the wait time was too long, but they have to realize the mooring field is quite large. Go back to slower operating speed. Love this place!
We've traveled to Essex by car a couple of times for the Seven Seas Cruising Association Gam; it's nice to finally arrive by our boat!! The staff is pleasant, helpful, and very capable. The facilities were very clean; the main dock has everything there for your convenience. Essex itself is stunning. Go visit the museum, the shops, enjoy the wonderful dining options, and if you time it right...music in the park!
The staff at the HYC was outstanding. Their assistance in locating the mooring, obtaining ice, the snack bar attendant, the office staff to answer questions, etc. was excellent. They were very professional and welcoming. I met a club member and that person was just as friendly and engaging. The board should be very proud. I look forward to our next visit.
