A really fine marina, good transient slips. We prefer the end T-Head, as Valkyrie is a 60-foot sloop. Try to avoid the bulkhead for mooring, as the wind makes it hard to get off the wall! If you havw side-thrusters, no worry. A fine little restaurant at the marina, a fair fuel dock and store. Not much there but ice and snacks. A perfect stop between Freeport and Port O'Connor. There is a great little liquor store just over the levy to the left. And a good grocery store all the way in town, about six long blocks, and one million mosquitoes!! Spoonbills is a fine restaurant, when it is open, only on Fri & Sat.
A trip back in time. Fine little marina. A T-head at the end of one dock for larger boats, all other slips are about 25' long. We did put a 60' sailboat in one - once, prefer the T-head. Old floating docks, kinda run-down but it works. Power at T head was recently restored. Wireless signal is very weak, but OK at the bath and Washer house. GOOD washer/dryer facility, nice small pool. The best Shrimp in Texas at the PMR, the Palacous Mexican Restaurant, an easy walk into town. Those shrimp were swimming that morning. The marina is at the top of Matagordo Bay, a long slog, stay in the channel as you get close. It is one of our favorites.
