Information about the Connecticut River Amtrak Bridge: From May 15th through October 15th -- all bridges re-open immediately after trains pass and will close in sufficient time for approaching trains. (During the Off Season, bridges will be opened as soon as practicable; in no case more than 20 minutes from time of request).
