Carrying Highbridge Road across Halifax Creek at ICW Mile Marker 816, The L.B. Knox Bascule Bridge is in a fairly isolated part of the Waterway, some 15 miles north of Daytona Beach and about 30 miles south of Matanzas Inlet.

The bridge has a closed vertical clearance of 15 feet with 91 feet of horizontal clearance at the center span. Red daybeacon 24 marks the bend from the north, and red daybeacon 26 serves the same purpose for those approaching from the south. Centerline depths average about 6 feet in this area, but be sure to stay in the center.
This bridge opens on signal 24 hours a day.
The bridge can be opened by horn signal (one long, one short) or by hailing the bridge tender on VHF Channel 09. (All bridges in the state of Florida must be hailed on VHF Channel 09.)
