Bahia Marina has been a horrible experience. I arrived needing help, the marina manager knew this from the beginning, my mast had broken and I was in the process of trying to fix it. Since I arrived I have walked on eggshells trying to accommodate them as well as work on my boat, but I have had nothing but issues with the owner. I have done everything he has asked but it’s never good enough. To make matters worse I was in an accident a month ago that almost killed me. My transportation distorted and because I was in the hospital I was unable to inform them that I was not going to be living there and was told that I was to late to receive the discounted rate for non live aboard. I have no vehicle I have hospital bills to pay I had distorted my phone in the accident and was unable to even afford a new one. Now im told I am not allowed on my boat subject to a 250$ fine and as soon as I am actually able to move my boat I am told I much move it and no longer allowed to keep my boat there. It is very likely I will not be able to afford any of this and am probably going to loose my boat to the marina. And I haven’t even begun to start my rehabilitation for my injuries I occurred in my accident. Never mind the fact that he lets other residents crash mopeds off the back of boats next to mine and into the water. Basically orders me to NOT notify the coastguard about this. The amenities in the marina are sub par at best the people are not friendly. Even scary, one of the residents is so over medicated that she walks around the marina looking into peoples windows, apartment or boat. And they are ok with this. So it should be no surprise that other residents there sell drugs, it’s even well known and talked about in a joking manner that hookers frequent another resident boat.the constant pot smoke and double standards are simply ridiculous. And I strongly suggest anyone considering a stay here be careful, if you don’t believe my words just look on line and count how many people have died in the Mariana. It’s an over priced shitty place.
