Always easy to work with the Village and dockwa.

Excellent season, just too short

I am hoping next year that they oil/grease the part attached to the metal cable. It makes it run smoother.

Great Season and Sag Harbor Village Marina and Moorings are safe and well cared for.

Everything was great! Thanks again to the town and Mr Bob Bori, see you next summer. One complaint if you can get the guys to stop blowing the grass into the boat when they are cutting the grass please.

We appreciate that they have kept their moorings in for late October boating when so many other marinas are closed for the season. When we arrived, the dock master responded promptly to our radio request for a mooring assignment. We could ask nothing more.

WE HAVE STAYED AT SAG MANY TIMES AND ALWAYS A SUPER STAY.HARBOR MASTER BOB GOOD GUY AND HIS STAFF AS WELL ..... I WISH THEY HAD THE AMEMITIES CLOSER TO THE DOCKS FOR SURE.

Loved our stay. Sadly it was only one night...would have loved to stay longer. Staff was great, and free pumpouts are always welcome! Great location for seeing Sag Harbor.

Very nice new wide floating docks. Deck hand was attentive, helpful and professional. Harbomaster was on the Dock to say hi which was a nice touch.

New transient docks are in great condition and the town adjacent to the docks is charming. The staff was also very helpful. We had a couple of nice meals there, in particular at the restaurant at the Marina. The transient docks are well protected from marine traffic and weather.

Very nice. The docks were nice. The dock hands were awesome.

The location could not be better, and the docks are great. But, the assistance when we arrived was minimal. They were there to direct us (good thing since you can’t see dock numbers from the water), and they did grab our stern lines as we backed in. Once the stern lines were down though, they were gone… no directions on facilities (garbage, bathrooms, etc), and no help in getting power hooked up. While we can handle this on our own, and there was an email with some info on the facilities, the help was a little underwhelming. Also, I think the docks should be secured with a locked gate to keep non-customers out. Still, we had a great time while there!

This was our second trip to Sag Harbor this season. The folks sat the village dock couldn’t have been more professional Docks are clean and well kept. Thanks again.

Dockmaster was great. Marina was clean. Marina location was great.

Jack the Harbourmaster is a nice guy. He stayed late and helped us dock. The docking system is awesome. Nice covered HDPE pipes with cloth wraps covering pilings. Simply loop lines around piles and back to cleats. It was easy to back into the slip and hold the boat off with lines on pilings on both sides. No fenders necessary. Nice IPE finger floats for easy boarding. Great power poles with no voltage drop measured 126 volts with full load on 50 AMP cable. We did not need a supplementary 50 amp cable.

Exceedingly pleasant harbor. We got here after Labor Day so no crowds. Enjoyed the village shops, restaurants. Grocery nearby. Very walkable. The town showers are adequate. Plenty of hot water. Not the cleanest but not the worst. Harbormaster was friendly & helpful. Free pump out boat & water is dockside. Will be back

Sag is great . The marina couldn't be in a better location

When we arrived the dock hands barely helped us, and didn’t offer to tie us up. The pump out boat they advertise was basically non existent. I think he was so busy on all the other docks he had no time for the transients. After two days of calling on the VHF, and trying to schedule it, he finally got to us when we had the engines running and were just about to pull out and go home. He was a great guy (Tony), but he’s just too busy. Otherwise, the floating dock itself was great and the location couldn’t be better! It’s new, clean, wide open in front for easy docking, and it’s right at the edge of the village. The bathrooms are small and a few minutes walk away, but always clean.

Unable to stay the night as their new slips could not provide me with a pedestal that was 50amps. No one seemed to care and the idea of using a splitter from two 30’s kept tripping. They told me that it was a problem with my boat which was bs as I have never had this problem before. Clearly there was not enough power provided.

Beautiful marina, very professional staff ,town a few steps away. Went to The Dock House across the parking lot and picked up fresh steamed lobster. Sat on the bow of the boat watched the sunset - memorable night

Not great. It took 45 minutes to get a slip. MP25. Had no double 30 amp electric, no Wi-Fi and no floating dock. We booked for three days and left after two.

We had a very nice stay from July 12-16. The dock hands were terrific with their assistance and offered great advice. Our slip was a stern to entry/exit with no side piers but the slip was plenty big enough to accommodate us dropping our swim platform to make it easy. The bathroom facilities were really not that great and were pretty hot and uncomfortable. All in all, it was a great stay with a great location and staff. We would stay here again for sure

the staff is very efficient and helpful, however there are no amenities at the marina although everything is close. Showers not air conditioned and not really clean. Many very good restaurants near by. Sag Harbor is a very nice village.

SAG Harbor was just remodeled with ownership , staff and is one of the best kept secrets in all of The Hamptons. Staff goes out of their way to for you. My yacht is well cared for. I feel when I show up what needed to get done was done. They offer cleaning service and then some. Summer wind makes summer amazing. Jim takes good care of the people that are loyal.

Great marina right in the heart of town. Docks, power and water were all first rate. What makes this marina so great is the staff. All of the dock hands were competent in handling a variety of boats and always with a smile!

First class floating docks, kept in immaculate condition. Excellent support from dock crew as well. They made the new smaller version of the KIPANY feel at home. Great stop on any cruise in the NE.

They could not provide a starboard tie although they said no problem when we reserved. Heads were the quality of a state campground.

Parking is getting more and more difficult each year. Almost every weekend there is a craft fair in the park in front of us which prevents driving to the boat to unload provisions, gear and people. It would be so much nicer if we were on a floating dock.

Dock was great. Dock hands were very good and friendly. Cars at night that park on the wharf had there lights shining right into the boat. Only lasted 10-15 minutes but was annoying. Bathrooms need an overhaul.

Had a wonderful time. We reserved a mooring inside and we’re assigned C2A inside the breakwater by a few rows. dingy dock ok and there is launch service. Plenty of places to eat

we've been coming to sag and staying at village marina for 40 years. it is well kept, great dinghy dock, and right near town. this visit was on labor day and it was 86 and showers had no fans/ac working. also, what would really be an upgrade for those of us on a mooring would be a little floating dock on the bulkhead in front of showers. no more walking thru town with your towel.

The marina was conveniently located right in town but quiet and newly built docks. The only thing that wasn’t good was the poles didn’t have a stopper to prevent your lines from falling down to the water line. We will be back.

Great place to dock, very close to town.

Excellent service, at all times the staff was perfect in providing everything that was needed and did so thoughtfully anticipating what we might need. This marina is in a great location, very short walking distance to the cozy/vibrant town. The girls say the marine facilities are more than good enough for sailors. I won't take a star off, for the facilites. This is not a yacht club with marble and tiled walls, for what it is, it is perfect.

have stayed many times and always good. the renovations look quality. was disappointed we could not get a slip despite the appearance of open slips but such is life. we ended up on a mooring. the issue was the mooring lines were completely encrusted in barnacles and i had to tie to front cleats that were too close together to keep my boat from getting scratched to death which resulted in us swinging around too much. i provided this feedback in private message but never heard back. please maintain your mooring lines!

Great job with the new transient dock. WiFi and electric both worked well without issue. Short walk into the beautiful town of sag harbor. Would recommend that the marina add “quiet” rule at say 11pm to preserve the tranquility of this great location.

Scrolling through the reviews I see we are not the only folk with power issues and how convenient it is for the dock master to blame the boat/boat owners. The good about the marina? The dock hands are excellent, eager, helpful and professional, they could not be better. The location is perfect. The wonder of Dockwa is that when you make a reservation months in advance it is very clear what power you require so it is difficult to understand why, on arrival you are assigned a slip that does not have the prerequisite power. It doesn't matter how nice a place is if you can't sit outside because the boat next to you has the same issue and is emitting exhaust fumes from running their generator . We are also running our generator, sorry neighbors! Talking to the surrounding boaters this is an ongoing issue even though the docks have been recently renovated. It would be nice to see the dock master but he has been MIA. I look forward to his reply to my review. UPDATE: Huge thanks to the Sag Harbor Harbor Master and the Assistant Harbor Master who went above and beyond trying to sort out the issues with the power supply. In the end the boat next to us moved, shout out and thanks to @myrealitycharters -if you are looking for a charter they are great!

I loved the new floating dock.

Like this location and dock hands are good but watch out if it’s busy. Went out on a short cruise from our assigned slip only to find it occupied with “another customer” according to harbor master which is what I thought I was. No apology or compensation for waiting in the harbor for the transients to return. New docks are nice.

Easy access to the slips and it is located right in the village so there is no need to take a car. Everything is easily walkable. Nice protected dinghy dock, finger and main docks are in great shape. Some big gaps between the dock sections that you need to be aware of but not a big deal.

Dock staff very good they go way beyond what is necessary

Marina is very convenient to town of Sag Harbor and all the shops and restaurants. Transient docks are new and the staff is very accomodating. However, the showers and bathrooms are not convenient to dock and somewhat primitive. If amenities are not needed, this is a good place to dock.

Docks are great and new, Dockmaster and team are very helpful. Electric excellent . All docks new and upgraded. Great stop. Been here several times in the past. Always great.

New docks are very nice, but the power supply could not take my shore power cord without tripping the breaker! No problem elsewhere.

Sag was nice to visit and the young dock hands were friendly and helpful but a couple of things made our stay unpleasant…worst was the rudest and most obnoxious launch driver who thought it was his place to interrupt a group of boaters chatting and relaxing to berate us on on our docking skills and to rudely state he would not put his fiberglass anywhere near us despite the fact we never used the launch service since we were docked. Note we all docked fine in the wind and current. It is interesting as well that he mentioned in his rant three times that he does not work for the town would lead me believe he definitely works for the town.. not only was he rude to us on the dock, but he also thought it appropriate to yell at us later in the day when we were in our dingy and no where here the dock. As for the reservation we had made a reservation for 6 boats in January and they were all accepted…an hour before our arrival I received a cell call from the marina asking us if we were coming which at which time I confirmed 6 boats were 1 hour out. Upon arrival all our slip assignments were changed and 2 boats on our group had to circle for 2 hours before being brought in despite open slips…not acceptable ….if slips were open they should not have people wait that long and waste gas and time circling the harbor

We had 5 boats all with reservations since January but they couldn’t figure out how to accommodate us when we arrived. They split us all up even after they confirmed we were all together. They allowed a boat to stay another day that was in one of the slips we had reserved. They made two of our boats sit outside the marina for over an hour because they had no idea where to put them even though there were more than two slips open. There was no dock master on duty on a Saturday, really? Two of those slips remained open the entire time we were there. Let me also mention the welcoming committee, the launch driver, he was very rude to people in our group as soon as we arrived and multiple times after. The entire experience at the marina was terrible.

We had an amazing time at the Sag Harbor Village Marina. The harbormaster, dock master(s) and all the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The new docks were amazing. We will definitely come back next year and recommend it highly to everyone.

Dock hands were super helpful and the new docks are nice. Facilities are definitely basic but not as bad as other reviews suggest. Unfortunately lots of large motor yachts and charters that lack common courtesy. One of them started blasting club music across the docks at 2am in the morning, waking everyone on board. If you're a sailboat (or any other boat that isn't soundproof), ask not to be put on the long wharf transient dock or go to the neighboring yacht club instead

Reasonable rate for a location in the heart of town. New docks are great. Very helpful and friendly dockhands. Facilities basic, but clean. Only downside is that they are a bit of a walk away from the docks.

The new dock improvement adds the additional dockage that Sag Harbor needed. The village dockhands are exceptionally helpful, friendly and courteous.

Villiage Docks is Sag Harbor’s Municipal marina and the heart of the Sag Harbor waterfront community. Truly a wonderful local feel and home to all elements of the bustling Sag Harbor waterfront community. Love the addition of ice recent years for $3/bag and the close proximity to town. Showers are also close-by. I find weekends best off-season in when the town settles down, but it is a magnificent spot in Sag all season long. The team of dock hands are always hustling to get it all done, fantastic at helping in a pinch (VHF: ch 9), and filled with local knowledge. As a regional charter captain who utilizes the docks regularly, I’ve come to rely on these guys and they never let me down.

Easy access to floating transient slips (arrived from the East). Dock hands were exceptionally professional and helpful, did not leave the slip until engines secured and shore power established. Great weekend!

We like Sag a lot. But the WiFi along the eastern part of the docks which are in front of the park is not usable. Given the cost a strong WiFi signal is expected! Steve Furnary, yacht Patriot.

Never a disappointment, This Marina is there to help you in every way, I cannot say enough how much we enjoy staying here. We ended up needing a marina during the remnants of Ian Thank you Max, once again you were a lifesaver.

Max is an exceptional individual. Knowledgeable, eager to assist the docking process; knowledgeable about Sag Harbor; completely reassuring and welcoming. Facilities and convenience of village is exceptional. Great time and memories. Definitely will return.

Facilities were adequate. However marina staff departs at 5pm. Website does not adequately depict the harbor and its 6 marinas. Staff departing at 5pm is unacceptable during peak summer season.

Have stayed a number of times over the years, and will keep returning. Very good location; dockhands were excellent, the slips are well maintained, and the overall approach always has been to try to be helpful when issues arise. On my most recent visit, I arrived without a power cable. The dockmaster loaned me a cable to use for my entire stay! This is definitely a good place to book.

Arrived Sep 12 afternoon a high tide with a Dockwa reservation for a transient slip. First time in marina. Called the harbormaster about 45 minutes before arrival on listed cell phone - no answer. Just outside breakwater, tried repeatedly to raise marina on channel 9 - no answer. Could not raise anyone on cell or VHF. A kind soul in a center console passing by directed us to the right dock. We found our slip but noticed on the chart the depth at the dock MLW of 2 feet - we draw 4-10". Turned around and were heading back out to the channel to regroup. Tried the harbormaster again on cell. This time got a person on the other end. They directed us back to transient dock, assuring us there was "6 or 7 feet" at low tide. We decided to go back in and tie up but be ready to move out if necessary. Ended up with 2' underkeel at low water. We understand post-Labor day things slow down, but then marina should update their page indicating what to do if they can't be reached. A PDF of the slip numbering and depths alongside would help as well.

While the stern tie was fine,access on and off the boat was limited. Either climbing up the bulkhead latter from the swim platform (6’) or using the very marginal dock, both presented issues. Once contact was made upon arrival they were somewhat helpful. They Only monitor channel 11 which was not presented clearly. Have stayed there before and did have better dock situation.

**Updated for clarification **The marina guys were very pleasant. We were on a mooring ball and didn’t realize the launch cost is extra (it's not part of the marina, but a separate business) and only runs til 9pm. $5 per person cash, $6 per person Venmo. Oh and a $10 minimum so if you’re solo it’s a ripoff. For a family of 4, that’s $40 round trip every time you want to leave the boat. Financially it would have made more sense to get a dock if the draft of your boat can handle it. We tried to get onto a dock after night 1 and we were initially told yes. It then when we motored over to it there was no spot for us. So we got on a different ball. Aside from all that the shower facilities are a block away and not that great. Clean enough but don’t make the mistake of going in the front door as that is public bathroom and completely nasty. Be sure you go around back. Not an awful stay but if I stayed again, I'd get on the dock to avoid the whole launch situation. **Update - I realize the launch is totally separate, my comment really was to say, if you're more than 2 people, consider paying more and just getting on a dock so the launch is not an issue. We could not get dock space so we just dealt with it. In the future, I would probably just anchor in the area since while the mooring field is perfectly lovely and the marina staff very nice, the facilities are not worth the money IMO. And the launch guy was not really a problem, the problem was we arrived late and didn't know that it was extra to take the launch and since we had about a nano second on land, the launch cost was not worth it that night. The marina itself was perfectly fine and if you don't mind the very very basic showers and bathroom, then it's a great place to stay. Just get there early enough to go to the docks and walk around town a bit, it all shuts down pretty early, so no wonder the launch only runs til 9.

We experienced a beautiful mooring field that is spacious and protected against waves. The “private” bathrooms are primitive, uncleaned, unmaintained, and offer no privacy.

Great location. Helpful staff. A little busy with tenders picking up and dropping off people. Headlights from cars at night in adjacent parking area a nuisance shining in yours eyes while sitting out in rear cockpit at night. Went out on bow to chaise loungers, Very nice and peaceful. Mooring was nice, but watch out, the launch costs $5 per person with a minimum of $10 each way, and tends to be tied up with seaplanes and big boats outside the breakwater. Bring a tender.

Nice staff to help and fun location , near to town for dining and shopping. Had no issues. Bathrooms are a bit far but clean and private. If you want a quick visit to Sag Harbor this works.

Nice Anchorage, nice mornings. They could use a little help on their website on showing The mooring fields mooring location numbers. A better detailed location of where the dinghy dock is would also be helpful.

The town is great, the Marina is basic. If i come back i will moore. The floating dock lacks privacy, the ferrys are noisy, and wifi is non existent as is cell service. I had to leave the marina to email or talk.

Expensive and very little service. No dedicated showers. No launch except private one you pay for.

The best location and staff in Sag Harbor. Max and his team are friendly and professional and always eager to help.

Having a first class dock person like Alex is a real plus for the marina. Sag Harbor Village Marina was terrific. We were right at the end of the popular main shopping and eating area. Made everything easy and welcoming. If we had any questions, Alex took care of us and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a terrific three day stay.

Best Marina in Sag Harbor. The staff here is super accommodating and beyond helpful. Alex the dock master is always responsive and available. The marina is safe and protected, and the location to town is GREAT. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Alex thanks for running a great operation.

Hands down one of the best stays we have during our annual family boat trip. We have been staying with the Village marina for the past 7 years and not only are they the best value for the money in Sag, but the entire crew from Bob, John, Max and Alex are first class. During our recent stay when Hurricane Henri started heading our direction, Bob, John and Alex went out of their way to figure out how to accommodate us if we needed to hunker down in Sag and were flexible when Henri started to head toward Sag that we decided to leave. Alex really went above and beyond to keep us comfortable in our slip. I have been to many marinas but this is our favorite because of the people here. They are all very genuine and truly do their very best! Thank you Bob, John, Alex and Max for having us and always making us feel welcomed in Sag!! You all have made your marina our home away from home!! See you again next season. Take care.

Floating docks were nice, and in good shape. The walk to the bathrooms was about a half mile, and definitely not convenient in the early hours of the morning. the overall location was very convenient. Just make sure to pay attention to the tides if you are on the other side of the bridge. We timed it just right and had about a foot of clearance on the masthead light on our way out.

Dock master Bob and crew are first class all the way. Always willing to do what ever it takes!

It’s a very pleasant marina. We only stayed one night as a stop over from Freeport Long Island to Martha’s Vineyard. I will definitely return next summer and spend a longer time to enjoy the area. Lots of big beautiful yachts!

Sucked!!! Crap dock, for twin out board not at all suitable for a 33’ boat, poles were 8’ to 10’ away from either side of boat so mooring ropes were not accessible. There was no help or proper directions to find the thing either. Totally spoiled our day. Never again. If this is what you are offering please let boaters know and we will go elsewhere. Very poor show indeed. Had it not finally been for Alec- thank you Alec, we would have been out of there. I would like my $160 back ASAP please!!!

The mooring was fine, but easily the most expensive. Would be reasonable for the price of the daily mooring to have included launce service

We stayed overnight with our boat India, and the accommodations were excellent. I want to give a special shout-out to Alex who went above and beyond for us both days of our stay. Alex checked on us multiple times, was extremely attentive, and even helped my wife and I book our next trip for our anniversary. Thank you Sag Harbor Village Marina and Alex for making our visit go so smoothly.

Great! We received an email in advance with all the information we could need, and when we arrived they answered our radio call right away and directed us to our mooring which was equipped with 2 good clean lines.

We just had a wonderful stay at Sag Harbor Village. Granted, we were put in front of the pump out... They only have fixed docks. And there really is no wi-fi to speak of. Putting all that aside, the crew that works there were all so courteous and professional. They were great. The location is an A+. So overall we love it here and would return in a heartbeat!

The arrival went a little rough. We had the mooring assignment, but called the dock office upon arrival to learn where in the grid it was. They gave us clear instructions. We could not find mooring C-02. A call back assured us the mooring number so beyond checking each empty mooring we checked boats on moorings. We found another boat on the assigned mooring. We mentioned it to the owner and he said he was on it last night and would be on it that night. Tired of circling the mooring field like lost kids we picked up an empty mooring and again called the dock office. They realized the boat on our assigned mooring was suppose to pick up mooring C-02A. They then directed us to take that mooring and we had two nice nights in the harbor. The visit as always was fine, and it seemed people were doing a good job ashore with the COVID 19 precautions. We noticed so many fewer super yachts! Perhaps the restrictions of the pandemic are keeping away those from high risk areas. We also noticed passing wakes in the harbor were much greater than the many past years. People are getting less thoughtful of their speed!

I stayed in Marina Park, which can be a challenge for a sailboat since you have to back in. But, the team was helpful. The location is great. The bathrooms are clean. Marina Slip 30 had no internet. None of the slips at the far end close to the Yacht Club have internet, and since Sag has little cell service in the summer, that can be a problem.

Took a while to find the mooring. Didn't try to use the lat/long coordinates. It would be good to include a drawing of the mooring field indicating the location of the various sections, identifies by alpha letters.

I really liked the transient slips but they continue to have issues with their power. Ended up moving to another slip with 50A and that worked. Looks like they have 30A GFI breakers that are too sensitive and keep resetting. Other than that a beautiful area and we had a very good time.
