This was my first visit to Watch Hill since the 70s. We had tried to go to Davis Park which was full. I hailed Watch Hill on Channel 9 and got an immediate answer and a slip assignment with directions on how to find it.
Steve, the dockmaster met us as we cruised in and assisted with the docking. He was very helpful with the Dock and Dine program and setting up my Dockwa account.
The beach was a little chilly and almost deserted on this Tuesday before Labor Day Weekend, but beautiful never the less.
The restaurant is decent and somewhat pricey. It cost $37 for a chicken sandwich and two milkshakes, but that saved a $67 docking fee, so well worth it. Service was somewhat on the slow side, but we were enjoying the stay and conversation with family.
All in all, a great experience. We will be back.
