They assigned us a slip that was almost impossible for us to get to. Their seawall is so close to their T-head docks that my length of 52 ft and width of 26 ft made it impossible for me to turn into the fairway of my assigned dock because of a large commercial vessel docked on the T. With the wind blowing at 10 kts down the fairway I was blown into the seawall. In order to save my boat I was forced to dive into the water with a line and attach it to an upwind dock. Once aboard I used this line as a spring and slowly pivoted into the fairway without contacting any other vessels. Really awful planning by the dockmaster… 😡
