Report Review
Stayed there twice recently. A clean family run marina with a great pool and within walking distance of many restaurants. Groceries and West Marine area almost too far to walk, but the marina makes a car available to drive to them.
The fairways are a little narrow, making maneuvering into an assigned slip a harder than in marinas with wider fairways.
Both times we were assigned to slip D7 - beware the large boat in the slip on the other side of the finger pier floating dock has a large stair to his boat in the middle of the finger pier that is permanently attached to the dock and blocks more than 1/2 its width. If it is easy to exit your boat from the stern half, you might want to back into this slip.
Another quirk of this marina is that the dock hands tie your boat to cleats with a "waterman's tie" which is NOT the "cleat hitch" most sources recommend. (Google the term and there are several videos showing how to tie to a cleat properly.) The dockhands will not be insulted if you retie the lines and their initial tie is safe for short periods in benign conditions. But many boats prefer more "Bristol" practices and it makes an odd first impression for more traditional boaters.
