Great facility, great people! We had engine problems in the middle of our trip, and Kittery Point Yacht Yard was able to work us into their service schedule, fix our engine, and be a very nice place to stop while we waited for repairs. The yard is just the right size--small enough for personalized service, but large enough to have specialized craftsmen who can do any job well.
We picked up one of their moorings in Back Channel and were pleased. The moorings are in good repair, and Back Channel is very sheltered from the weather. It is also sheltered from all the wake in the Piscataqua River, and the local fishing boats all passed through the mooring field at a slow bell, which is unusual in our experience in Maine waters.
We highly recommend KPYY, whether it's just for a mooring for the night, or for any kind of repair. Thank you so much, Jason, Mike, and all the crew!
