Algonac Harbour Club

Hot tub and pool were shut down a few times we wanted to use it. Disappointed, but understand maintenance issues. Tiki bar-great Restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Recommend hiring a management company to take it over to update and improve food. Could be a great place. Capitalize on the history of the area, the former Chris Craft plant.

AHC is my happy place! the staff goes above and beyond.

The restaurant was inconsistent with the food and due to a staff shortage, some things took longer to arrive at the table. And in some cases food was made inconsistent from week to week. (constant change of cooks?)This has been going on for 2 years. The Mian bathroom for slip holders was redone and it's great! Everyone that has used those bathrooms is impressed! The pool was colder than normal and the hot tub was a cold tub. The heating element wasn't working and it was as cold as the pool. People that rented a transient well often didn't clean up when leaving. The marina office staff are the best around! Always available, friendly and they can answer any question you may have. On-site boat maintenance is now available thanks to Walstrom. The added services are a welcoming addition!

Marina and staff were wonderful and attentive. Exterior of restrooms were not kept clean of spider webs and debris. Laundry facilities were very rough, not cleaned or maintained. Docks, grounds and restaurant were great. Will certainly stay again.

Slip was great and service was on time. I look forward to next season!

We hosted a club rendezvous with 6 boats at AHC in August of 2024. Anthony and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the pool, hot tub, and restaurant there. We set up under the covered area of the water tower, which, although we didn't have rain, if we did, it would have really been nice to have the shelter. We used their cornhole game, which everyone enjoyed playing. The showers were very nice and clean. We didn't use it, but it was nice that there was a propane bonfire pit with seating by the water tower. The whole marina was full, with everyone having a great time. My only negative comment would be that the picnic tables weren't in the best shape and they no longer have a large grill to use/rent. We recommend it!

Nice marina staff. Guys at the fuel dock and transient dock knew exactly what to do and how to handle boats. Tiki bar was great as well as the staff. Definitely will stop again if they will have us sailors 🙂🙂

Hello from Jim & Margaret .. We recently attended an Annual Visit to Algonac Harbour Club with our Windsor Yacht Club Fleet Group. I have to say our visit was amazing as we got to celebrate BOTH our Canada Day and the U.S.A. Memorial Day celebrations. The Services and the Amenities were exceptional as well as the Dockside Restaurant menus and the many Live Band performances. It was a pleasure to rub elbows from both sides of our borders without ill experiences. Well this long week end was likely at full capacity our only recommendation would be to provide a larger bathroom facility or in the future a second location that could remain closed with exception of overcrowding patron volume. Sadly the existing one was given a huge workout over this week end that required plumbing repairs. Albeit, we continue to plan return visits in the near AND annual boating season. Thank you to everyone !! Kudos

The marina itself is fine but the new owners are not that great! They wait until you sign an agreement and then request more money from you for the season that you are already in. A letter was sent to the President Tom Ervin asking him about the unfair pricing that occurs at the marina. Not only was the issue not addressed but the email itself was never responded to. The unfair pricing practices of this marina should make future residents and transients hesitant. The management practices when the marina was owned by Pete Beauregard were already questionable. The new owners have not made any worth while changes that lead anyone to believe that their practices are any better. In fact they may even be shadier if that is at all possible from Pete Beauregard.

The crew working in the yard and gas dock were very nice and helpful. The new items in the gas dock store was a nice upgrade. It was very disappointing to be told that a security guard would be staffed in the guard booth at the Marina entrance on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, This never happed!! The wood walkways at the gas dock and our boat well are terrible!! They caused a family member to trip and fall. The wood picnic table at our well, supplied by the marina was previously broke and repaired years ago, it is 25% rotted and full of splinters. The table is not useable so we ask the crew to remove it, we then purchased a new one. This is something that we shouldn't've of had to do.

We are seasonal at AHC and lots of changes occurred this summer. We still do not have WiFi on our boat, the guard shack is still not functional or manned, and the new bathrooms smell like sewage. Promises of new pavement and safe picnic tables that never happened. The “integration officer” (Amy) never once went around the property to introduce herself or solicit ideas. A survey was done but results were not shared with tenants. Not sure Walstrom buying the harbor was a good thing.

Clean bathrooms, endless hot water showers, nice people working there, good grounds with plenty of grass, restaurant with bar and entertainment. Great Place

The stay was good as always. only have two issues. the trash was not emptied so there were alot of bees hanging around. the other issue was the door to the ladies room. the handle is very hard to turn after your enter the code. I wasnt the only person having issues with this handle. most every women had problems opening the door.

Staff was great, amenities were very good, bathrooms were clean, like we can bring our dog and walk around. mosquitos were bad. restaurant menu needs better options. Our 3rd year. We will be back.

We love Algonac HC. Lots of fun, good people and excellent amenities. Some things for improvement: 1. Vinyl dock can be very slippery, especially when wet. Anti-skid tape might help. 2. Some docks recently had 2X6 pieces added to the poles so small boats wouldn't go under the dock. The 2X6 pieces need to come up higher to catch bigger boats' rub rails. As it is right now the new 2X6 piece hits the hull below the rub rail before the rub rail hits the original post. I have a fair sized gouge in my hull now because of this.

Nice place over the weekend. It would be nice if the restaurant would stay during weekdays. There is a Kroger close which is handy, but sure you have bug spray the mosquitoes are terrible after dark.

Dock master's were great, bathrooms & grounds were very clean. Was slightly disappointed in the bands (entertainment) and all the sand in hot tub. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

AHC always does a great job with our boat. We've ben fortunate in being the first boat dropped in the water each spring. My only issue was our boat was parked next to an area they built out for a service department. This resulted in our boat being covered in drywall dust.

Electrical outlets for working on my boat are hard to find and in terrible shape.

We wintered indoor heated storage for 2022-2023. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Building access during winter was excellent and building kept clean. I noticed that bathrooms are being completely redone and look beautiful, although I would have liked to seen separately partitioned showers & dressing areas as at some other marinas. They are also adding a marine store.

Great place to stay!

Great spot. Gal in office was super friendly. Clean and convenient to grocery store, pharmacy etc. Seems narrow and looks shallow when coming in but there’s plenty of depth. Algonic is a nice area, beautiful waterfront for walking or biking. Would definitely come back.

We love algonac harbour club, Great marina for the kids , 2 pools, restaurant, tiki bar , live music . tons of events . Excellent staff . They are always doing updates/improvement's to make the marina better.

When we got there our spot was taken so we had to go to the different one and wait there for the owner to find a person who took our spot and move our sail boat again when our spot opened up. It's not easy to do that with the sail boat.

Algonac is a great place to stay. The pool is wonderful and having a restaurant on site is wonderful. Groceries and restaurants outside the club are within walking distance. Staff is very pleasant.

Our 4 boat crew from Port Huron really enjoyed Algonac Harbour Club Marina. Staff was very helpful, restaurant was fantastic. Marina was very well equipped. We had one incident in the pool where a person screamed at our entire group to "GET OUT OF THE POOL" . We had no idea why until another guest in the pool said we were supposed to have wrist bands. So we went to the Harbor Master and got them. I was told two different stories- one that the loudmouth was the owner (which I couldn't believe an owner would treat customers that way) and one that said it was a security person. We didn't let the one bad incident spoil our weekend and would still recommend the Algonac Harbour Club as a nice group destination Craig Felt

Stay was great, booked and extra night for more R&R. Tiki bar made good drinks, kids enjoyed the pool lots of fun had by all. Good to see people out moving again. Did not eat at the restaurant can't comment on that.

We had a great time and plan to stay again next year! Bathrooms/showers were clean throughout the day. Entertainment and bar/restaurant was awesome. Our only complaint is the rudeness of the security men. We both called the harbor master on or way (one of us was coming by boat the other by vehicle) and were told which dock to pull into. I verified that I would check in once we docked. I was on the dock as my husband was backing in and the 2 security men came up and very rudely said "What are you doing?" I replied "Docking our boat." He said rudely, "Do you have a reservation?" I said yes and he right away called as if I were lying. Then without apology he shrugged his shoulders and said "She didn't tell us." and drove away. When I went to check in and pay our balance, the same two men were in the office. They were still not friendly - I paid our balance and he just slapped the receipt on the counter and told me to take the sheet with yellow highlighting on it. (There was no "Have a nice day - enjoy your stay - let us know if you need anything - nothing.) The following day another guy stopped and told us we had to park in the restaurant section - we were confused. He said "Where is your yellow sticker?" I replied that we weren't given one but had a reservation. We then figured out that it was the receipt that I was given - it was yellow paper. We were supposed to display it so that they could see we had a reservation - no one told us that! We found it interesting that we and our little 22 ft. boat were not treated by the workers at all the same way that the people who came in on 50 ft. yachts. We feel that manners and treating everyone the same is very important, especially when you are working for and with the public, and especially during these trying times.

Staff were very accommodating and facilities were clean and neat. The transient docks have beautiful views. A laundry would be a nice addition.

Visited Algonac Harbour Club several times the past few years. Chuck and his crew are always courteous and knowledgeable of the area. The Marina is well kept.

Place is getting run down, apparently so is some of the staff. Boardwalks are tilting, falling apart, nails sticking up. Outside of the bar/restaurant looks very unappealing. (And who in the world would paint an outdoor ice freezer black???) I arrived by myself; 2 dock staff came to help me into the well, but didn't even stay to secure the lines, instead ran for the cover of the office because it had started to rain. Really? The younger staff workers seem eager and were helpful. A big thank-you to them!

Great place for an overnight getaway! There was good food and drink at the bar and grille. All of the staff were awesome; harbormaster, restaurant, gas dock and others. The marina was a little loud late on a Saturday night, but that is not unusual. I highly recommend Algonac Harbor Club!

Our stay was excellent. Staff were on the dock to assist us in docking and provide us with all necessary information for facility. Kids enjoyed pool and we enjoyed hot tub. This is one of the cleanest, best organized and best run facilities we have ever stayed at. Thank you to all.

We have been going to Algonac Harbour Club for over 30 years. Great place for adults and families. Friendly boaters. Lots of fun and good food and facilities.

Overall, a nice marina. Some things they can do better... Dock numbers are not visible for transient boaters, if you don't know where you're going, you're going to get lost. Weeds & other growth is rampant back where they docked us, fouled up my props. Do a little upkeep.

The marina is looking wonderful! Love the pickle ball courts, love the new tiki bar, and absolutely love the fresh fruit drinks! Only wish they sprayed for the mosquitos!

Perfect in every way. Staff is great. Amenities are awesome. We will be back no question!

The marina is clean and has a great staff. The pool is wonderful on a hot day. The on-site restaurant is pretty good. But its open only around the weekends. There are other restaurants a short walk down the road. On the down side, there is absolutely no shade. So hot days are HOT DAYS. And there's a fair amount of boat traffic going past. So its rather busy. But its an easy marina to get into with a well-marked channel.

I don't normally write reviews on sites like this but I have to say this one of our favorite destinations. On the weekends when there are no organized activities it is a very peaceful get away. On weekends like this past Labor Day when there are organized events there is a lot of family fun. Labor Day weekend there was a cardboard boat race for the kids, games like a sack race and egg toss and Tug O War. There was a costume contest and even a drive-in like movie set up. Check their website for photos to see what I mean. The Parrothead party this year was a blast. One other thing that always makes our stay more enjoyable is the attention to clean bathrooms. Of course the pool and hot tub make the stay perfect. The staff is also attentive to everyone's needs. We will be back as long as we are boating.
