This poor soul stayed open until our arrival since we went into point lookout state park waterway accidentally and set us an hour behind our arrival.
Very friendly and helpful management and yard. Beautiful setting and good restaurant on the premises.
Friendly and good help with docking, onsite restaurant was great and also had phenomenal service.. the fuel pumps are slow so be prepared to do other duties while refuelling... we had a bit of sketchy shore power (dual 50amp) all in all a great marina to spend a night in transit.
Fuel pumps one broken old and deteriorating. Power pedestal one side not working other one falling out of the pedestal no floating docks in bad shape We use to go there in the 90’s and early 2000’s. It was well kept and wonderful.
Nice spot. The staff stayed a few minutes late to help us get settled which always helps on a fixed dock. Great restaurant on site
Friendly help. One newer dock was good and good 50 amp power. Excellent restaurant!
Great location a little off the beaten path, fantastic staff and locals plus salt restaurant on site made for a great stay. Thank you!
Thanks for all your help getting us in and out of the dock!
Lookout Point Marina works out well for us as a safe all weather marina The staff are very friendly and the dock is very easy for us to get on and off of 5 stars
Very pleasant location, no crowds, decent facilities, not far from the Chesapeake Bay, very nice restaurant 50 feet from the end of the dock, quiet at night, reliable shore power, this is my third visit and I will will be back
Outstanding stay with great staff, facilities, and onsite restaurant!
Easy on easy off of the face dock. Great dock master and dock hands of needed. Plenty of depth, diesel available, great restaurant on site and another excellent restaurant within walking distance. We love staying here and will do so anytime we are in the area. It is a great place to start or end a Potomac journey
The late-day crew was very helpful, staying past their 4:00 PM closing time. The marina is aging and you can tell it's being affected by sea level rise. We would have appreciated having access to a grill, like we did 2 years ago.
Staff is really and helpful. We had an issue with our windless and they had someone down to fix it the very next morning. The one thing they need is to have trash cans on the dock for the boats to use.
Nice location northshore Potomac River in Smith Creek Older fixed docks made for challenging docking. Updated Salt restaurant was very nice with goof food and service july 4th fireworks was a nice bonus
Good restaurant Pump out wasn’t working very well
Loved the restaurant! Marina staff always friendly and helpful.
Courteous and professional staff that were very accommodating.
Nice staff and lively restaurant. Keep in mind this marina is one hour at 9 mph up the Potomac river so if you are not doing a side trip, it’s a bit out of the way. Facilities are fine and clean but won’t be memorable.
Planned to stay for one night, fuel up and have dinner. They were out of diesel, restaurant was closed and the breaker on our power pedestal would trip on anything higher that 20 amps. The place looks run down, and is poorly maintained. Find somewhere else to go.
The bathrooms were run down and dirty. Dock staff was young inexperienced but courteous. We spent the night, and we're glad to leave.
Great boating community at Point Lookout Marina. A lot of improvements taking place! Ownership very serious about making the marina the best in the Chesapeake.
An excellent marina with quick and easy access to both protected inland creeks and the Potomac. You couldn't ask for better sailing grounds.
Marina is easy to get to! Staff are helpful and friendly! Salt restaurant is a definite must for dining!!
It is what it is. No one on duty. It was a Sunday off season so didn’t expect much. No power yet paid for power. Like I said it’s end of season.
I stop often at Point Lookout Marina because you usually have good gasoline (nonethanol) and you have an easy dock to tie up to - it would be much better if it was a floating dock, and I like Salts restaurant. The last time I stopped 3 weeks ago you were down to the last 30 gallons of gasoline. In order to avoid this happening again I called ahead of time on Thursday to check on the availability of gasoline. I was told it should be delivered before I arrive on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday morning I called the office six times just to make sure you received your fuel delivery. Each time I got the answering machine. I left messages each time. You need to have a bell ring at the fuel dock to let the dock hand know the phone is ringing at the office! Or you need to have the office phone number transfer to a cell phone that someone will answer. The bottom line is I arrived Sat afternoon and you did not receive your nonethanol gasoline delivery. I purchased the last 80 gallons - I needed 300 gallons. If someone had answered the phone I would have known you were down to your last 80 gallons and I would have purchased gasoline elsewhere before arriving. Not Good!
Well organized! Docks marked with flags. Nice efficient help and maps. Super clean restrooms and showers. Excellent restaurant-SALT. Will definitely stay there again!!
Always a pleasant experience. Jen and her staff are always ready to help. Popped in early to dodge a storm. Great dinner at SALT. We will be back!
This was a nice one-night stay. The marina is very large, making it tricky to find some amenities. The restaurant "Salt" is terrific!
Very peaceful and protected, large restaurant right on the grounds. Readily accessible gas / diesel dock, good jump-off point for ICW. I'll go back.
Great sunsets! Nice facilities. Tasty offerings @ Salt Kitchen
Very friendly and helpful staff! Nice facilities. Plus the onsite restaurant is wonderful!
Gorgeous peaceful and well protected
Nice priced and friendly marina. Clean bathrooms. Pool looks nice but we didn't have a chance to use. Pet friendly with lots of area to walk. Would stay again.
We had a good stay at Point Lookout. SALT restaurant is fabulous and we rode our e-bikes to Point Lookout State Park. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and refreshing. We stayed on a long face dock with lovely sunsets.
Love the renovations and the dock hand was great! Plan to go back this summer.
This marina was a little gem. The dockhands were helpful and we were able to be on an alongside dock, which made docking easy. The facilities are clean and there are great restaurants-one on site, and others within walking distance. Very quiet with nice outdoor space for hanging out or walking dogs. There’s also a pool which we didn’t use.
The marina is a bit tired but the staff were nice and the nearby restaurant enjoyable.
Fuel dock was broken
Nice quiet marina with super nice staff. Will definitely come back.
Recommend emailing a slip number as I came in late. A map of the slips and marina would be helpful as well. Bathrooms need help or at least daily cleaning.
The people were very friendly and helpful, and Jennifer went out of her way to order extra fuel for our arrival. The marina docks are in extreme disrepair but we were told they will be replaced soon.
This is one of my favorite travel marinas. The staff are amazing (thanks Claire!), the dock is great and the fuel is priced right. Grab a bike and go out to dinner until their restaurant opens this fall.
Good price, Good facility, good dock, good electricity excellent staff. Nice pool area and walking distance to two restaurants, Courtney’s, mom and dad and daughter, awesome good priced fresh seafood and 450’s, overpriced, poor service and quality soso restaurant. Biking distance (complimentary) to old town St Mary’s, which is a worthwhile museum /little town to visit!
It was another great stay for us in Onancock! Super. We'll be back at the end of August.
What a truly wonderful find! The staff is amazing very friendly and super helpful. We were able to get supplies, a great BBQ sandwich & booze nearby, thanks to the owner. Very nice showers. They have not yet gotten the restaurant open but it was still a great stay felt very safe.
Stopped in to get fuel and were cheerfully met at the dock. Service was fast and friendly. We did not stay in the marina but the dock hand directed us to a quiet, serene and beautiful anchorage about 1/2 mile away. The marina recently changed hands and the née owners are expected to make improvements.
Despite Dockwa listing showing "wireless Internet" there is none While the is a restaurant which is reasonably good, it is only open Thursday-Sunday. Nice pool, but water was oddly cloudy while we were there.
Quiet marina, friendly dockhand was available to help with lines upon arrival. Bathrooms need to be updated, no WiFi but nice stay otherwise.
Put in dockwa reservation early in the day, no reply. Called on phone and got no answer or ability to leave a message. Hailed multiple times on 16 and 9 to no avail. Finally pulled up to the fuel dock, someone came out and we asked if they had any transient slips. Docks are okay, restrooms are pretty meager. I have seen hostels with better facilities. There is no wifi. Very expensive for the limited facilities. There is nothing close by. We ate in on the boat so I can't comment on the restaurant onsite. I would only stop here if you need a respite from a storm.
Nice location of marina. We enjoyed our visit. Had a good meal at the restaurant.
Piers are in terrible shape. Very hazardous. Restaurant staff were very friendly. Food inexpensive but just ok. Would not stay here again.
