We didn’t plan to stay in Mystic, but weather on the Sound forced us to find a place to hole up for a few days during the off-season. Getting a spot at the Seaport Museum ended up being the best “happy accident” of our entire voyage.
To reach the museum, you transit the river and both bridges, which gives you a chance to see all the other marinas along the way. After seeing them firsthand, I can confidently say the museum docks are by far the best.
The facilities were excellent, with spacious showers and free laundry, and as an added bonus you get full access to the museum itself. The location is also ideal—easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and groceries. Staff are very helpful, and Steve even stayed past hours to help us come into the dock.
10/10 we would absolutely stay here again.
