Mystic Seaport provides an ideal destination, especially for those traveling by boat. Located on the charming and historic Mystic River, we are a short distance from Long Island Sound and offer well-protected docks that are north of both the Mystic River Highway Bridge and the Amtrak Mystic Railroad Bridge. New this season we have installed 820' of new floating docks and new shore power.
Boaters and their guests receive complimentary museum admission while docked at Mystic Seaport. We invite you to stroll through our 19th-century seafaring village, climb aboard historic vessels, and explore exhibit halls. After visitors are gone for the day, our guests have the unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty of our grounds in the evening, an experience reported by many to be the most magical part of their stay.
Dockage also includes free wireless internet, power, water, and additional amenities. Downtown Mystic, located just a short walk from Mystic Seaport, offers a variety of dining and shopping options. We look forward to your visit and will do whatever possible to make your stay with us an enjoyable and memorable one.
The Amtrak Mystic Railroad Bridge opens on demand when no train traffic is present. The Mystic River Highway Bridge opens 40 minutes after the hour when requested. Both bridges can be hailed on channel 13.
In the off-season, please excuse any delay in response as our dock staff works part-time. Requests are checked once a day, Monday-Friday.
This marina is our favorite place on the East Coast. Greg, Gaye and the Mystic Seaport staff make every visit exceptional. The new floating docks make it so easy to get off the boat to explore the museum and the town. And "living" at the museum feels like stepping back in time. Highly recommended!
The only down sides are price and the food on site.. Facility, dock, Dockmaster, people are all excellent. Food and dockage are both overpriced but it is Mystic Seaport Museum. Everything in Mystic is expensive for cruisers.
Awesome facility worth it the price all day. Excellent museum.
Dock hands were helpful, bathrooms were very clean access in and out was easy and I mistakenly paid for 2 days and the group was getting the second day free. They refunded me without any issue. Thanks for a great but cold weekend. Bruce
Mystic Seaport is always a nice stop. always a few interesting boats visiting .
Great dock master Greg was right there to help Got to stroll the great grounds. Faculty was clean and very close to downtown Mystic
Always something to do and see in Mystic. Garlic Festival was a plus on this trip. Gaye and Greg were fantastic as always. If you haven't yet, give it a try. A++
From instructions before arrival to being welcome by the personnel to receiving attention to all our questions, our stay was perfect. The museum is exceptional and it was a perfect weekend. We recommend it to anyone.
Mystic Seaport has to be one of the most unique and enjoyable marinas ever. To be allowed to immerse yourself in the midst of a historical park and yet have easy access to a very cute downtown is a joy. And the new docks are fabulous, Greg the Harbormaster is fabulous and everyone who works there is fabulous. We are looking forward to returning next year. -Summer Star
New floating docks are a great addition! The staff was friendly and helpful.
The new floating dock is a fantastic compliment to historic seaport museum grounds! The Seaport is walking distance to downtown Mystic's restaurants and shops. We LOVED our stay and will come back again next year.
These people could not have been any nicer or more welcoming. We were really impressed by their willingness and effort to be accommodating.
Excellent crew, very helpful and energetic. Calm and collected despite multiple yachts all arriving together. Like the new docks.
The dockhands were great. Very helpful and informative. It was magical to be on the grounds when the museum was closed.
The new floating docks with Epi decking are fantastic. One day is not enough to take in all that the Seaport offers.
Always a great stop. Exhibit staff is very knowledgeable! Model building club (who knew the Seaport had one !?!?) has exhibition space now and was super engaging. Sadly, breakfast sandwiches in the gift shop cafe were unappetizing.
Had another great stay at the Seaport. Greg was very helpful. It's a magical feeling to walk around the Seaport after the visitors have left for the day. Like going back in time.
Second stay there this summer. Beautiful spot, very quiet. Greg and dock staff are very helpful and accommodating. Love going there. Mariner’s membership is definitely worth the price if you live in the area.
Mystic Seaport Marina has to be the best value in boating. The docking crew is always ready to help you tie up. The electricity is included. Wi-Fi is strong. The views………. You and everyone on your boat gets the entire museum included. Then there’s down town Mystic and the 100 year old famous draw bridge. Mystic Aquarium is just up the road. I’ll stop now.
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Great location. Clean heads and showers. My wife and I highly recommend!
The Mystic Seaport Museum has always been one of, if not our top, favorite stop between Key West and the Canadian border. Now with the addition of floating docks, the Mystic Seaport is even better and more welcoming to mariners. Greg, the dockmaster and his crew are top notch. And having a 19th century village all to yourself as evening descends, is truly magical.
Always a great stop. They are in the process of adding new floating docks which are VERY nice.
It was a toss up between here and another marina with a pool for the kids. We chose the seaport and wouldn't think twice about doing it again! In the words of a friend who pushed us to stay here... Magical. Greg bent over backwards to accommodate us and the kids cant wait to come back. It was a quick and easy bike ride both into town and to the aquarium. If your on the fence about where to stay in Mystic... HERE!!!
It is always a great experience visiting Mystic Seaport Museum. It is especially great to arrive by boat!
We love staying at the seaport! the new docks are wonderful!
Greg and the staff were very accommodating! The grounds and exhibits are exquisite!
Absolutely perfect! If I could give them 10 stars ⭐️ I would! The staff was great, the new docks are awesome and the Museum and town are wonderful. We can’t wait to come back!
Greg was incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!
Excellent staff! Very accommodating for our group. Highly recommend!
Five Stars says it all! Great facility, Location, Staff
Staff and dock hands were more than great!! Private tour of the Collections Building was awesome. Everyone was so helpful for helping our group to have a very comfortable and memorable weekend. We love this place !!!
New floating docks are the bomb! Wonderful time was had by all. Mens showers and bathrooms were spotless.
It was a pleasure to dock in the midst of so much history and with such great service providers. The bridges need to be timed but that is just logistics.
Our second time visiting this season As always a great staff in a great place Hope to be back soon
The new docks are beautiful. The staff is great!
Friendly and helpful staff. Dock service was great!
Great staff to get us settled on the dock. Good services, including WiFi. We did not use bathroom or showers, so can’t comment on those. Easy access to town and great access to the museum. Being able to walk the grounds at night was wonderful. Another great visit July 2021. Greg and his team took great care of us as always. We’ll be back soon.
This is a must stop. The visiting docks are new with restrooms and showers nearby. The staff is amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed. Of course, its right at the Seaport Museum, and you get grounds privileges after hours. The Museum is wonderful, only comparable to the land based Williamsburg, VA.
The new floating docks are really nice. The dock crew help with docking and there is a lot to do at the museum. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay.
Lived up to all the hype. Quiet, idyllic, beautiful, welcoming, friendly. The dock staff were wonderful. We received clear arrival and departure instructions once our reservation was confirmed. The nearby town was quite nice to walk as well. Definitely a highlight of our trip.
Our stays at Mystic are always fantastic! Dock staff is friendly and helpful, and make us feel right at home. Can’t wait to go back!
Brand new docks, great staff, Greg dockmaster super accommodating, restrooms are modern and very clean. Bonus of free roam of the Seaport museum, and only a 20 min walk into town, 5 min by dinghy! The Tavern just steps from the docks is a great option for linch and dinner.
Top notch service and hospitality .
Chris has a very professional team onboard. Greg and his crew are the real staff. Knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and ready to help on command. Far superior staff service than most marinas where we have been. I SHALL come back here ! 😉😎
Our annual stay at the Mystic Seaport Museum is always the delight of our summer. The marina staff is very professional and accommodating.
Greg Zabel, dockmaster, and his crew were phenomenally helpful and friendly people. It’s these kind of folks that you love to meet when coming into Port for a little holiday.
Excellent. Beautiful dock and excellent dock hands
Excellent setting, quiet marina. Walking distance to the center of Mystic for restaurants and shopping. It was really nice to visit the quality museum at a leisurely pace.
Always 5 stars. Friendly, helpful and a great team. Manager Greg is always a pleasure. r
Always one of the best places for boaters...Great place and town
Just awesome! Brand new super fancy docks, great staff, sparkly clean washrooms and an absolutely fantastic Museum! Hope to come back later this summer.
The Seaport is one of most favorite stops. The staff can't be better. Always ready, willing and able to assist. Have stayed in the Seaport many times over the last 30+ years and each time is better than the last. Kudo's to all at the Seaport for making our stay so great.
Stayed 3 nights. Very nice and helpful staff. Unfortunately no burgees available for new members.
Such a unique place! Docking could get tricky if you are placed closer to the South entrance but the team is super helpful. We will be back!
Greg and Gay and all the staff are great. Very helpful with everything! We love just hanging out here because it's such a fun and comfortable place to be. Love the new floating docks. Wish we could be on one of those next time! Thx, Cap'n Bill
Very private clean marina, staff was awesome and friendly, bridges are annoying if your on a time schedule of trying to beat bad weather but would still come back for a longer stay
Low voltage at docks but beautiful new docks and very friendly staff
Great place for a getaway and change of scene. Even though the museum exhibits were closed it was great to walk the grounds and have peace and quiet while docked. Marina staff were outstanding!
Super friendly and helpful staff. Welcome package includes Seaport wristbands for all onboard. Very pleasant stay.
Great place to visit. Very friendly helpful dock staff. Fabulous new floating docks. Easy walk to town for great restaurants.
Helpful staff, new docks, clean facilities. Fantastic museum. Great town. Enjoyed our stay
Greg the dock master provided directions to the dock when we radioed in after clearing the highway bridge. He also was there to greet us and help with lines. Clean bathrooms, great new floating docks and access to the Seaport, couldn’t ask for more.
Magical. Aside from all the normal exhibits that the Museum has to offer there was music on Saturday and Sunday afternoon that upped the atmosphere and raised the bar out of reach for any other Marina. After dark walking the streets of the Seaport you are lost in time under the stars. Dawn was even better. (0500) Not a soul with me aside from the birds and rabbits starting the day. Everywhere you looked there were reflections of history on flat water. Fate brought me to walk along Hobey's Dock and a memorial to Hobart Ford, Jr. , Lost in Action at Sea, April 29th, 1945. Not lost on me was the fact tat I was standing there, alone, at dawn on Memorial Day, 77 years later. A personal Thank You to Gunners Mate 2nd Class Hobart Ford Jr. for his ultimate sacrifice. SV Far Out Tom & Lisa Firsching - Caretakers (PS. New floating docks installed last week are a very welcome upgrade.)
Mystic Seaport by boat is always a wonderful experience!! The Seaport offers such a wide range of options for exploring. The grounds and buildings are so well kept and offer all ages an experience to be remembered. Our group had a private tour which was awesome!! The new floating docks are definitely an improvement and make boat access so easy! Improvements in the town - new cobble stone walks, spectacular new exhibits - Story Boats, live music, and more!! Put it on your cruising list. Everyone working at the dock office and grounds very welcoming and helpful!!
Docking staff was fantastic. Multiple staff members standing at the ready to help with lines as we approached the Seaport. Could not be more attentive to our docking needs. Beautiful setting. Quick walk (15 minutes) to downtown Mystic.
Very friendly and efficient staff that go out of their way to make your stay great.
I stayed because I always wanted to tie up at the Seaport. There might be nicer marinas nearby but it isn’t the Seaport! The people there were great especially considering it was a last minute reservation. Very accommodating, with power and water at the slip. Happy to lend power cord or help tie up if need be. They will have new dockage completed very soon which will be much nicer, but for my purposes my slip was good and the proximity to everything outside of the Seaport was great. For me it was worth every penny!
Great location, Greg and his staff were great. Amenities were clean. Always nice to be in mystic
Clean, accommodating, and the best dock master and staff! Everything within walking distance.
Facility outstanding and very accommodating, with interesting surroundings. Always a pleasure to see some new exhibit. Friendly and helpful staff.Peaceful after hours. An enjoyable weekend.
My family and I loved this place. Stayed 3 days, very peaceful and calming location. Access to the old seaport at all times was very nice and great place to take a stroll at night or sunset and sunrise. Bathrooms and showers for boaters were very clean and private from the public bathrooms. Pet friendly facility and just a 10 minute walk to downtown Mystic shops and restaurants. Staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming and the park is safe and has gated security access in and out of the park. Easy docking in and out. Will definitely be visiting again!
Wonderful visit. Museum exceeds expectations. Staff was great on docking instructions and assistance. Really, one of our best overall experiences, and, of course, Mystic Pizza
Upon arrival immediately greeted and assisted with tying up boat and shore power. Very helpful staff with dining suggestions and access to museum was fabulous. Wish we could have stayed longer! Will be back.
MSM is now among our very favorite locations to visit. Surrounded by historical whaling ships and other craft, our 55' Kadey Krogen trawler weathered the passing remnants of Hurricane Ida easily, and without a sense a major system passing us. The harbormaster, Greg, has a voice that will ease any captain into an unfamiliar marina, provided a fender board for our use, and shared the background of this extraordinary seaport museum and still active ship builiding/restoration location. Decent wifi and power, and you could easily spend a week and not see all this museum/town/marina has to offer. The museum staff clearly love their work, and include many with extensive knowledge of whaling history, seamanship, or wookworking. Tour the Charles W. Morgan, a whaling ship from the 1800's, currently being refurbished. An easy walk north through beautiful landscape takes you to an Aquarium (will have to see next year--no time this year), groceries and more. Head south from the marina and you'll find a plethora of restaurants/bars/shops in an idyllic maritime village. We became a museum member because it reduced the price of our slip fees. But after our visit, we'll likely want to remain a member to ensure this gift to maritime and history fans will remain healthy. You do not want to miss this port. Highly recommend. Thanks, Greg, for kindly and patiently answering my plethora of pre-docking questions, and for helping to make our stay so memorable. See you next Spring.
We have been coming to the Seaport for years, and especially enjoy bringing friends so they can also experience the magic of the museum and river. Staff and volunteers are always pleasant, helpful and informed. A "must see" in New England!
We love coming to the Mystic Seaport Museum . Greg and staff are the best!
This spot is not to be missed. The protected Anchorage is calm and gorgeous. The facilities are amazing, and when the tourists leave, you have the run of the Seaport. It really makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Plus, it is a short 15 minute walk or even shorter dinghy ride to town in case you need anything additional Or want to grab dinner, drinks or ice cream. This is our fifth year and we look forward to coming back next year.
Dock staff extremely helpful. Mystic seaport is a charming town; as well as a historical educational destination.
The only problem was that the power was inconsistent and failed at times. The location was excellent and the people attending the docks were superb.
Totally worth the wait for the bridges, as it's a really charming location. It's a few minutes walk into town, but scenic when you do.
Mystic Seaport is a fantastic place to visit by boat. Cruise in to the 1800s. Dock near a Whaling ship or old Clipper. The museum is a great place. The Marina is one of the best. All of the people are friendly, always there to help. Greg is wonderful. He has the best crew working with him. Kenny and Gay are both nice and caring people. Sometimes we feel like were going back just to visit with them. We would highly recommend visiting.
awesome destination. Need to clean up men's room showers...mold
The dock master was great. Dealing with many boats coming at one time and she was so professional and did a great job tying up our vessel. Went over everything with us. The museum was beautiful and very nice to walk threw.
Great staff, every one was friendly and helpful, we would have extended our stay if there had been availability. The grounds are well kept and the exhibits are excellent. We enjoyed peaceful walks in the evening after the museum closed with our dog. We will definitely stop again on our way south in fall.
Perfect venue…lots of room, easy access to town w bikes. Clean and plenty of things to see at the musiem
The Dock Master and entire dock crew are helpful, customer service focused and just great people while being professional . The marina is beautiful and special with all that the history and opportunities to learn that Mystic Seaport Musium can offer. It is one of my favorite places to visit.
Great facility with a very helpful and competent staff
Fabulous facility! Terrific, cordial, and helpful staff! A wonderful place to visit! Thank you!
Mystic Seaport is a wonderful place to visit. As a marina destination there are several issues. First, the bridges are a hassle every time we visit - hard not to have to wait for an opening. Second, if you’re traveling with a group the seaport will raft you. We were assigned a bulkhead location rafted with another boat. So we wound up with a fiberglass view to port and museum tourists to starboard. No soap in restroom and wi-fi very slow. Staff was helpful. Add a star if you’re into the museum but there are easier ways to visit Mystic south of the bridges, especially given the price.
Very accommodating, will definitely be going back.
Greg(Dockmaster) was great along with his staff. The help get every boat docked secured. Great facility. It was our yacht clubs first trip the Mystic Seaport and did not disappoint!
The place is amazing, The dock hands are professional.
Fun as always! Except for the loud music at y the he catering facility, although it did stop promptly at 10pm.
The mystic Seaport Museum is an excellent stop for anyone interested in boats. But this is a review of the marina, not the Museum. We did not use any of the shoreside marina facilities (bathrooms, showers), so we can’t comment. We were docked at a fixed pier, and the intertidal range was about 3 ft—not ideal, but not a big problem. There are floating docks, but I think we may have been too long (~50ft) for the floating-dock slips. The marina is more thoughtful than most in providing fender boards to address the challenge of aligning fenders with pilings at its fixed piers. Mystic Seaport lies on the Mystic River above 2 bridges (railroad bridge & highway bridge) with closed clearances of only a few feet. Nothing but a low dinghy can pass under them. The opening times of the highway bridge are once per hour in summer—a major factor in cruise planning. The railroad bridge is more flexible except when a train is approaching, but these two timing constraints may interact inconveniently. Read about them elsewhere. Importantly & positively, the dock staff is superb: capable, informative & friendly. The town of Mystic has good restaurants & fun shops. The town offers a public dinghy dock a couple of blocks upriver from the bridges. The dock staff can tell you where it is. Anyway, less than 5 stars because of bridges & fixed docks.
What a fabulous 3 days we had at Mystic Seaport Museum! From our spot next to the Amistad, we had a front row seat to all the activities at the museum. The staff at the museum were all very friendly and provided top notch service. Access to downtown Mystic and its restaurants and shops was a very easy and pleasant stroll. Plenty to do and see at the museum; the exhibits and associated staff were incredibly knowledgable and personable. If you sail, take advantage of the incredibly reasonable ($15/hr) cat boat rentals and take a cruise up the river to the highway bridge... well worth it! All in all, we highly recommend a visit here. I know we will be returning!
The staff was exceedingly attentive with docking, electrical hookups and procuring ice. Overall we enjoyed the museum. The museum is within walking distance into town
Our second time to sail here and this was even better than the first. We were docked at the north end and it is exquisite--beautiful open bay, very rural. Watching the kids on their boats was great entertainment. The whale exhibit was excellent, and the facility for visiting sailors was very close and very clean. A delight.
The dock staff were very good at helping with docking. We came with 11 boats and they packed us in tight and safely. They also helped with pushing us off when we left the next day. They were very professional.
Well run dock , friendly dockmaster and crew. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Made look like a better captain than I am. 20/20
One of my favorite cruising destinations. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Protected and calm.
The most amazing stuff ever! Greg makes it a personalized experience. Thank you. Thank you.
Love the Seaport Village! Dock crew is always so friendly and accommodating. Very Unique and enjoyable cruising destination.
Great spot, with lots to see. Great, attentive, helpful and knowlegable staff to assist with docking and departing.
Always a wonderful spot no matter how many times you visit.
Great staff Greg, Gay and Jonathan always make you fell comfortable and happy you came. Tranquil especially when the seaport is closed. Easy access to town. Great for kids to visit the seaport with a lot to keep them busy and interested. Shows exhibitions boat building kayaks and even sailing lessons available. This has become a regular boat stop for us each summer. Great lobster sandwich at the galley. Consider a mariner sesport pass for docking discounts and to help support the museum.
Super nice location, people and the history OMG! Have not been back to the museum since the late 70's when I was young. So cool to be able to tie our boat up inside the Museum and walk around at will. Walking around after hours was nice as it was cooler and no crowds. We needed a package shipped in and a return out and the staff was SUPER helpful in making that happen for me. A short walk into the town of Mystic was well worth the effort to visit Mystic Pizza, S&P Oysters, and the ice cream shop next to the bridge was fun and tasty! Look forward to returning at some point! God bless all the volunteers that make the museum successful! DONATE! Preserve the maritime history, this place is doing GREAT things IMO....
A must go to spot! Great dockmaster and deckhands. See something new every day.
Very accommodating and a pleasure to stay as always!
Excellent stay and fun Marina. Had some pedestal problems and they immediately got an extension for another pedestal.
The dock staff were very friendly and helpful. The Seaport grounds are always fun and interesting to explore. It is an easy walk to Mystic with lots of nice shops and restaurants.
Like a candy store to a kid… If you love sailing and the sea, you cannot miss this place. Dock staff is super helpful and very professional, will definitely return for a longer stay!
From a great greeting to our hail, dock master meet us made sure all of our needs were meet. Kept checking in on us. Very nice stay.
Greg and the dock staff are the best. Walking the grounds at night is a must-do.
Outstanding place to stay. Easy walk to downtown. Have full access to the museum grounds after hours. We got an added bonus of a private tour of the museums boat collection.
Great dock assistance, facilities and a peaceful view!
Great facility. Dockhands and Dockmaster Greg) went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
Stayed at the marina over the weekend. Enjoy the Panorama of whaling industry. Received a behind the scenes tour offered to our group.
We highly recommend mystic seaport. Great place for kids. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We will be back!
This was a magical experience for us, staying in a museum! You have access to the whole site at all hours! "A night at the Museum" movie come true! They have all kinds of cool activities every day, everyone is just so so very nice, the bathroom and shower house is great, small walk to downtown Mystic and Old Town, it was all just perfect. Oh and the internet is really good.
Nice small marina in the Seaport. You can stroll around the museum before and after it closes and get a real feel for the the history here.
The marina was great, and staying at the seaport museum overnight is an amazing experience! The bathroom and showers were spotless!
Terrific place, scenery in and across from facility see Iñiguez and beautiful, so much to do, a treasure!
Great visit, as always. We’re surrounded by beautiful old ships and all the great Seaport exhibits are just steps away. We’ll definitely be back, often!
Great spot on the river. Friendly helpful staff and great shower facilities. Super fun to walk the Seaport before they open and watch the work of caring for these iconic vessels.
great location for all things Mystic related. Access to the history of the whaling community is an amazing plus. Dock mistress Gay was busy but still took great care of us. We make this an annual stop !!
Mystic Seaport Museum is an outstanding place to spend a night or a week. It is fascinating as the daily patrons leave and the whole Seaport Village becomes your home taking you back to the 1800s. We have been coming for years and hope to be back for many more. Greg the Dockmaster, will make sure that your stay is not only memorable and enjoyable, but will also make sure that you will want to return time and time again. If you’re lucky enough to run into Chris, VP Of Watercraft Preservation, ask if he has the time to take you to visit their collection of boats not on public display - fascinating.
Dock hand was phenomenal. Plenty of amenities. Super clean. All “public” areas were locked for “yachtsman” only. Perfect Covid getaway.
Beautiful spot. No working wifi but otherwise, great service from the Seaport staff.
Great place to visit!! Great staff , dock master and wonderful location. My favorite destination
Quiet, friendly welcoming staff, immaculately clean. Much to see and learn.
Mystic Seaport never disappoints. Helpful staff; will be back!
As always, Mystic Seaport was welcoming, flexible and accomodating.
Staff was responsive and very helpful docking and departure. The museum itself is terrific. A staff member gave us a personal tour of the archive in the old velvet mill. A remarkable collection of marine items from early outboards and all manner of inboard engines to the prototype dyer dow.
Amazing 2-day stay. Docking was easy with the assistance of Greg. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Being able to walk the grounds of the Seaport is a great experience and makes for a unique stay.
Always great and Dock master was great and friendly
Nice place to visit with kids. Very close to the town of Mystic , which is pleasant also.
Great place to stay in Mystic. Helpful, professional staff. Quiet, little wave action because the river is narrow there. Note that pump-out services on the Mystic river are limited to one boat and they are generally busy. Only Monday through Friday.
The service and staff were excellent. I was surprised to see a large flag flying high on one of the ships masts in support of a political organization. I would rather support an educational organization who did not publicly engage in that type of political activity. Thank you Vincent
It was excellent quiet relaxing and great dock staff for help. Will definitely come back.
Beautiful place for a few nights stay . Friendly and helpful staff - Rich was great !
An amazing location, lots to see, close to town. We especially loved the NUB, the new exhibit building, a modern interpretation of an 1800 whaling ship. You will not be disappointed.
The staff is very helpful, the area is safe and lots to do. The bulkhead slips need some updating and the Outside water hook up is far away and needs multiple hoses. It’s a nice place to stay and enjoy the area and all it has to offer.
Beautiful location and very helpful and competent staff. Met us at the dock and helped us secure the boat and settle in.
When you stay at the Seaport you are free to roam the grounds after closure which places you back in time.
Great atmosphere and a safe alternative during Covid. Large spread out outdoor exhibits and terrific staff
All was well, helpful staff, wonderful boating experience see you soon
What a fantastic venue to dock in! We enjoyed the off-hours access to the museum. The surroundings are beautiful. The dockmaster, Greg was extremely helpful, pleasant and knowledgable. We had a great experience!
Had a great time - only wish more exhibits were open although we understood the limitations due to Covid. The staff were very helpful and nice
Staff is always top notch, Rich would not leave until we were entirely satisfied with the tie-up and utilities. Even with partial closures due to COVID-19 it was very enjoyable to spend some mid-week time at the museum. We'll be back!
Greg is an outstanding dock master and employee.
Great facility. Lots to see and do unlike many marinas that have nothing to offer inside or outside the gates. We were especially lucky because they had an antique car show on one of the days we were there and we got to see the cars for free.
Great stay right in the Seaport with free admission included. Restrooms clean and convenient. Fun staying right in the midst of maritime history.Short walk into town for many restaurants and shops.
Always an excellent experience! Full access to the Seaport included with your slip fees. Great views and amenities. Quick walk to downtown Mystic. Fantastic shops, restaurants, and bars. R36 is on the waterfront for food and cocktails. Inside Seaport Marine Grounds. Great spot to wait for the bridge opening!
The Seaport is always amazing on our stay there this year we were treated to a running antique engine exhibit and we really enjoyed the Fireboat.
We never miss a summer without going to Mystic Seaport. Our children are now grown adults and they insist we stop at least two nights at the Seaport. The staff, as always, is courteous and attentive.
Always look forward to being here and never disappointed. I have been coming here since mid 80's. Always a great experience to see the old and discover new exhibits.
I wish I could give it a 4.8:). Awesome place. Great people and location. A bit of a power issue. We have 2-50 amp cords. During the day we had to run the gen for our AC -the breaker couldn’t handle the load. Late in the afternoon and through the evening it was fine.
Staying on he grounds of the museum makes it special. Docks and facilities are just ok. Staff is attentive and friendly. You can spend all day exploring the museum and the towns close
Great place to stay, the historic ships and buildings are incredible. Very well kept. Dock staff is awesome
Staff was incredible. Such a great experience to stay in a uniquely special place. We’ll be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facilities are clean and well-kept. The use of the seaport after hours was fun, we had been there during the day before but it was interesting to see it at night. We were really impressed with the dock staff. They were well organized, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We are looking forward to our next visit.
We LOVE to visit the Seaport. The staff (Greg, Ken, Gay and all the others) are kind, helpful and welcoming. We love the free nights program. We can't wait to go back!
Amazing place, great service and the surroundings are beautiful. Plenty of things to do to keep everyone entertained.
We always enjoy going to the seaport; it is a special place. The dock hands are knowledgeable and very helpful to all your needs. Our view of the Seaport at Mystic has not changed over the years!!
I hate to rave about how amazing this facility is because I’d like to keep it for ourselves. Truly a highlight of traveling the New England coast. Great staff and experience. Full 5 starts because there aren’t 10 to award.
No place is better to dock than Mystic Seaport! Staff and facilities are great. More importantly, it's magical being there before and after the museum opens. A must visit place for all boaters. S/V Cynosure
We have visited Mysic Seaport by boat several times over the years. It is always an enjoyable and unique experience. The bathrooms are clean. Being late in the season (Monday of Columbus Day weekend) it was the least crowded we have seen it. In fact we were the only boat there. We got some great pictures of the historic ships lit up at night. We will certainly be back.
It was so awesome staying at Mystic Seaport Museum. Greg the dockmaster was so helpful and friendly making sure we had everything we needed. The museum itself was amazing and that we had access to it after hours was even cooler. It was an easy walk to great restaurants. Our only gripe, not the marinas fault, was that we were docked right next to a 100 foot yacht who ran their exhaust belching generator all day and night. Stinky and noisy. Other than that our stay was fabulous, cant wait to return.
We love the Seaport! Warmly greeted by dock master with clear instructions, docking assistance and a comprehensive information packet describing current exhibits, a schedule of museum activities, and fun things to do at nearby Mystic village.
Fabulous place to visit. The museum, the staff, the local couldn’t be better. Great showers, restaurants. Everything!
We are members of the museum and this is one of our favorite places to stay. Great staff clean showers, laundry. Wonderful shops and stores nearby. So much to do and see!
Gray stay - helpful staff and beautiful grounds. Could only wish for a floating dock. A bit of a hike to town but Uber readily available.
Always a fun place to stay. Great staff at docking office.
Cool concept and really worth the stop for the museum, especially for kids. Dockhand was full of hustle, but not the most knowledgeable (A+ for effort and friendliness). Unfortunately, we had to use all of our hoses plus some of the marinas to get fresh water to reach the boat. 240v electric was a challenge at only 200v, so our electric motors were all overheating and not functioning properly, most particularly A/C and it was hot and humid. Had to cycle genny and do my own multimeter diagnostics on all dock power, which was far from the boat due to earlier arrivals getting the limited number of close hookups. I think I had a total combination of 5 50/30a power cords to get power to the boat. Last gripe, the heavy rain causes certain slips leasees to walk through gravel and grass, making a total mess of the boats. All in all, still just shy of a 5 star experience. Would definitely go back.
Unique experience and some helpful dockhands! Thank you.
Perfect in every respect. Easy dockage along wall, strong reliable wifi and surely one of the very special places to have a boat alongside the Charles Morgan and Joseph Conrad!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mystic Seaport. We had intended to stay only one night but extended for a second night to wait out a frontal passage. I'm glad we stayed the extra night because it gave us time to see much more of the grounds. The dock staff was professional, friendly, and very responsive. We berthed along the seawall on the northern side of the grounds. Tying up to a granite sea wall instead of a floating dock may be off-putting to some, but we had no problem with it as the dock staff helped set up the fender board and all was well. Tying up that way, at least to us, was in keeping with the history and tradition of the seaport. The head and shower facilities were nearby and clean. There are good restaurants within walking distance. As others have mentioned the real beauty of staying here in your boat is the ability to roam around the seaport grounds after visiting hours, which gives a really intimate and fascinating perspective of the place. We look forward to coming back!
Helpful dock hands Nice and quiet place-not many slips Short walk to town
We had not been to the Mystic Seaport in several years do it was nice to get back. The dock hands were very nice. The shower facilities were a long way from our slip but having the Seaport admission included in the slip fee was a super perc.
Great time at the seaport, pleasant friendly staff at the dock. Issues with the dock. It is a long climb up at low tide and required fender boards, which were supplied, because of the pilings. A warning, If towing a dinghy, place it along side your hull. Some one else left their's on the tow line and the dink went under the dock at low tide. In the morning at high tide, it was trapped under the dock and they had to wait for the tide to drop before they could leave.
The booking process for a slip was easy and fast. As instruced, we called the dockmaster after clearing the highway bridge. We received clear insructions and directions. Dockmaster Greg was there to meet us and help secure the boat. The head and shower facilities were spotless...the museum was Amazing . Special thanks to Chris for a tour of the archive facility We’ll be back !!!
Very accommodating staff, wonderful historic environment, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were entertained and educated at the same time! Lorraine and Tony Shepley
The Seaport was great. There are excellent exhibits on whaling, the vikings, and even a planetarium. It is a short walk to the downtown restaurants and shops. A very enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend.
Dockmaster Greg met us as we landed and from then on we had a great visit. The exhibits were just as good as we had hoped, the docents both volunteer and professional knew their stuff. The pleasant attitude of the dockmaster made us feel welcomed.
My family simply loves staying at Mystic Seaport. The staff is incredibly friendly and having the seaport to yourself at night is very special. It is a short walk into town. However, there are many car services available if you can't make that walk. Also, the bathrooms are kept very clean.
Staff was friendly, marina was breathtakingly picturesque. Very quiet. Short walk to town. It was too quiet for our taste, but we found entertainment in town. Fixed docks could be an issue. Not an issue for me at all, but a guest and another boat had issues getting on an off.
Great stay at the Mystic Seaport. Wonderful staff, lots to see, and very calm protected docking. Our group got a wonderful behind the sceen tour of the Museum. We dock in Mystic and this is a first for staying on the grounds. Highly recommend a visit. This is not a late party place to stay.
We were berthed right next to their wedding venue. It was a real treat to observe the ceremony and the following reception right next to us on Saturday night. Reception ended by 10:00 and all was quiet again. Will continue to have Mystic Seaport on our travel itinerary.
Great marina especially since the seaport museum was included in the price of the stay. Thanks also very polite and hospitable staff.
Mystic Seaport is the best New England destination, you can stay over night when the Museum is closed, and stroll the historic yard after hours. It is very protected, new shower facilities, and close to town. Very reasonable slip fee. I used DOCKWA, Vessels up to 167' and 12 foot draft. MUST VISIT!
