I was there for 8 months through hurricane season. I travelled a lot and always felt like such a great community of both cruisers and staff ere looking out for my boat and communicating with me through storms etc.
The marina is not without hurricane danger … no marina is exempt from it. But they do the most possible to keep boats and people safe which was really important to me.
The other reason I came was for the amenities and social life. These are second to none in the world. Having just finished my circumnavigation, that’s saying something! Really enjoyed the people here, the amenities and the true sense of community!
