Brunswick Landing Marina is located in the heart of downtown Brunswick, Georgia. Just steps away are shops and restaurants that offer marina customers an exclusive 10% discount off their meals. The marina has a very active liveaboard community attracted by the never ending daily social activities, free laundry, free beer (yes, free beer), and free water on all the docks. Ample parking is available at the head of each dock which makes provisioning and unloading a breeze. Customers have started to call this marina the "Velcro Marina" because once you come, you never want to leave.
Great stop, beautiful and clean marina! Will stop again
Love that marina. Everything was perfect and was extremely accommodating
Always love our stay at Brunswick Landing Marina. Great staff, beautiful sunsets, and amenities. Looking forward to a return visit in the future.
Overall the services and the personnel were very easy to work with. My only complaint is that in April of this year, I told all of the dock personnel that I would be selling my boat, and I would be also moving it as quickly as I could put together a delivery crew to get it, moved down to Saint Augustine, only for the reason that there is no haul out facility in Brunswick capable of lifting my boat. Finally, I got a delivery crew lined up and they picked up the boat in early May and brought it down to Saint Augustine. Since I had fully pre-paid my dockage at the end of April, I asked Marina to please send my prorated dockage fee back to me. They then informed me that as of April you had started a no return policy. I felt that that was very inconsiderate since I had told you told your stuff all along that I would be moving the boat and that I was selling the boat and yes, it was all happening as quickly as I had a buyer and a delivery crew lined up to move the boat. I don’t agree with your practice especially when you enforce it after I had already told you that I was moving my boat and nobody mentioned it to me. John carroll.
Wonderful as always with great office staff. Especially on the weekends!
Friendly terrific staff and the facilities are well maintained.
Nice Marina with good facilities. Walkable to several restaurants and liquor/grocery stores.
Best marina we’ve stayed at in 30 years of sailing! Very helpful staff and great facilities.
It was like a whole new crew, very friendly and Helpful.
We are grateful for the use of this marina when bad weather threatens us. We akways have a comfortable and safe stay. Thank you for always making run for us. We truly appreciate it.
Always great! We come here all the time. They’re friendly and VERY accommodating.
Loved our stay here. Friendly staff, free laundry, nice floating docks, beer and wine on the Wed. at the marina lounge. Also an easy walk to town. Great brewery.
Great staff, very helpful, and courteous. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The complementary laundry was a refreshing change from having to go get a roll of quarters.
A good marina at a good price with a couple of downsides. First, the paper plant nearby creates an unpleasant smell when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction. Second, the noseems can be pretty bad. Both not the fault of the marina. However, when we were coming in to our slip, which was pretty tight, the dockhand didn’t know how to handle the lines properly. She pulled hard on our bow line which swung our stern into the boat in the slip next to us. This boat had a dink with its outboard high up. Its prop put a three inch scar in our new topside paint. Please give your less experienced hands more training.
Nice facilities, friendly staff. Good amenities. Free laundry, bikes, beer/wine as part of the reasonable dockage rates.
We love this marina! The facilities are clean and in good repair. Also each dock has its own key so it is very secure. We left our boat for 5 weeks with no concern. Plus, who can turn down free beer and wine on the get together nights.
Cruisers from all provenances and backgrounds choose BLM as their winter destination to hang around like minded people who keep coming back as we have. This past winter was our second year staying there. Each stay was for at least 4 months. The owner occasionally produces events, like Oyster roasts and holiday dinners, which are a nice touch. These are held at the marina but they are owner events. The staff is rarely involved or present. However, the marina has a dark side that is rapidly changing the opinion of many past customers who chose to no longer return or in extreme cases get their reservations cancelled after leaving without justification or notice, as was our case. The owner and staff are increasingly hostile towards the clientele. When you talk to them, it bothers them. It is hard to get a sense that the staff is there to help, most of the time. The weekend crew seems to be the best opportunity to feel tended to. They impose ghost charges, e.g. environmental fee ($24/month) (when asked, the owner, will answer randomly what this is, his favorite answer being the environment they provide), trash charges (randomly) and grossly overcharge for electricity ($0.23/kWh even when they can’t read the meter so they guess up). Our monthly bill the last two months was around $100 but once we left we were charged $139 for 19 days of service. It’s all about making money without providing a service. A great example of profit over service is the pump out service. Free if you drive your boat to the fuel dock or first slip on dock 1. First slip apparently is now permanently filled and is shallow so not available. Of course you can pay to have a crew come to your boat and take care of it. Beware if they have to make a second trip, you will get charged twice or they won’t provide the full service ($35 a pop - pretty crappy). Other marina’s we have been to have pump out boats which costs are subsidized by the govt at a rate of 80% of operational costs so they charge a nominal fee of $5 or nothing at all. The owner’s stance is that he can’t make money on a pump out boat if he accepts the subsidy. Facebook is the preferred method of communication from the owner. He is the administrator and he announces activities and relays news through the service. This is great except it is not a supplement, it is the method of communication. The marina staff uses the phone, emails and personal communication. Talk about censorship. If the owner doesn’t like what you commented, you will be struck down and deleted. If it happens again, you may be banned from returning. A third time, you might be asked to leave. Perhaps communication is not the intent of the facebook group, more like propaganda for the owner. Recently there was a shockingly good review post of outstanding service at the boatyard for a prominent sailor, Bob’s tracks. This is in striking contrast to the level of service we have seen or heard of from this yard. Propaganda at its best. This is not the boatyard you should turn to to service your boat.
Really great place to hang out for a bit, especially if the weather is gritty. The owner provided Easter brunch for all boaters. The facilities are clean and well kept. There is a great fenced dog run if you have a pup. Definitely recommend.
Brunswick Landing is a very clean, well run, Marina. All of their facilities are really clean, they have a beautiful Captains lounge, and free Laundry. Only 2-3 blocks from downtown Brunswick, which is a quaint little town, with nice shops and Restaurants
We stayed for just shy of a month. Enjoyed the facilities, staff and other boaters very much.
Excellent staff! Great marina. Best happy hour ever!
We spent 2 months in December and January here, and then 2 days in May on our way back north after returning from the Bahamas. We love this Marina. Friendly, helpful and flexible staff. Lots of friendly boaters. Free laundry. Free wifi. Free bikes. Great little town in walking distance. West Marine close enough to bike to (or long walk).
The marina is well maintained and the office staff are very helpful. I highly recommend Brunswick Landing Marina.
BRunswick Landing Marina is fantastic. Fuel dock is easy to use, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and there are very thoughtful extras (complimentary laundry and bikes) that make your visit great. Downtown Brunswick is a short walk and has excellent restaurants and parks.
Arrived in 28 KN wind but staff helped with our lines. Unable to rate the facilities as we arrived late and left the following morning but staff were super helpful and it is a beautiful marina in a superb setting.
Very nice marina! We really enjoyed our stay. People are so friendly, it’s hard to live BLM. So well protected marina🤩 Free bike, happy hour free, laundry free, dock master Kile is so great with people, she knows her job and customers 👏 Michael Torras very present and so kind whit customers 😍
Very nice marina. Safe and secure. Brunswick, GA. is a lovely little southern town. I was charged a full month’s rent for three night’s stay… Something to do with a non negotiable first month’s rent. In all honesty, I found this to be petty, and in poor taste. I can’t recommend in good conscience…
Brunswick Landing always a bright spot. Marina personnel got us in and tied up quickly. Always courtesy service. Walkable downtown / local restaurants
Not sure I like the Dockwa. I had paid for 2 days. The weather changed and there was a window to sail to Charleston. Office said they would work with me and issue refund of 2nd day. I was off the dock at 2:45. Office now says no refunds. Hard to continue to use this Dockwa and pay for slips I don’t use.
Friendly staff, nice and quiet and easy walk to lots of things.
Fantastic help! Our dripless shaft seal was leaking and we thought we would have to haul out for the repair. After discussing with Matt, the service director, he sent over Chris right away and determined he could adjust it. The next day we were good to go. They were slammed with work but he got a cruiser on his way.
Incredible stop for us. Can't say enough about it. Peaceful, quiet and close walking distance from whatever you may need. Great Place!
Beautiful, well managed marina in a very nice southern town. This is a destination marina, or if in transit stay an extra night. You won’t regret it.
We had a fantastic week long stay at Brunswick Landing Marina!
Great camaraderie among boaters in this marina. Beautiful club house. Close to town. Well maintained and secured.
Fantastic marina, I can’t say enough good things about it, and I have zero bad things to say. The staff is great, the amenities immaculate, and the local town is walking distance to all kinds of fun places. Try the Pineapple Cocktail at Richland Rum, you won’t be dissapointed.
Great marina, great water and staff very friendly.
The club house is large and comfortable plus MWF free beer and wine which helps to get most boaters a chance to socialize with other boaters at the marina. It is within walking distance for a great small downtown. Many interesting sights to visit if you have your own car.
Nice, friendly and clean marina with an active social life (Happy hours, monthly potluck). Floating docks are gated and laundry is free. Walking distance to a few restaurants.
The people are so helpful and nice. Socks are clean.
We stayed for the winter. This is a really good reasonably priced marina with great amenities. Being next to old Brunswick we had lots of choices for food. Great staff! Pump out did not always work but they do have a cart to come to your boat. We have been here twice and there are always welcomed improvements each time.
Excellent facility and staff. Easy in and out. Short walk into town. Definitely would stay here again
Nice facilities and friendly staff. Proximity to the town and restaurants.
I want to give this marina a four star rating. What really drags down the marina is yard services. They do not have enough help. I’m not sure if this is due to poor pay or lack of training. To get any work done is months away and limited. Any great marina has a great yard! They have a nice club house with cocktail hour, people are very friendly. I understand the marina has a contact out to fix the concrete docks which float. The showers and restroom are very clean. I wish this marina had a swimming pool and/or exercise room. Living on a boat one needs to exercise.
BLM has the best social environment than any marina we've been. Thanks Michael.
The marina is so clean with friendly staff. It really caters to making things easy and pleasant for liveaboards. Lots of opportunities to meet and engage with other boaters - from happy hours, to cruise broadcasts, to exercise sessions, and game opportunities. We met people that we hope to keep as friends in the years to come.
All good helpfull staff
The marina was great! Only problem was finding ice cream in town!
Reviews are accurate -- you come and do not want to leave. Facilities are great. They have everything! Well maintained and nice staff. They also add a social component with decks on each dock and a large (climate controlled ;) bldg to socialize. Area has nice restaurants and park in walking range. Can use courtesy bikes to get to West Marine.
Great stop plenty of help at the dock on a very windy day. Staff friendly and helpful bathrooms clean and new and how can you beat free laundry!! Town just steps away plenty to do
A well protected marina with friendly staff. The dog run areas is a bonus and there is a short walk for those of us that travel with pets.
The boater community at this marina is great, and the free laundry is very generous. The marina management is surprisingly unfriendly and unhelpful. When we asked to extend our reservation by another week for a boat repair, they reluctantly agreed and pointed out their inconvenience. Their interactions with us were perplexingly resentful and unpleasant throughout our stay. The owner of the marina has a great reputation for trying to do right by its clients, but the staff has completely missed the concept of customer service.
Management and staff were very helpful, courteous, and efficient. We were able to take on fuel, sign in and receive a slip assignment in short order. Wonderful team to work with.
We stayed here for about 5 months during hurricane season. This marina has a great live aboard community. Very nice floating docks and great marina staff. Bathrooms/showers are very nice at the yacht club. I would rate the 5 star. The bathroom/showers near our dock were not as nice and only one womens and one mens. This is not enough for how many slips are on the north end. My understanding is they are about to redo these bathrooms/showers. Water here is free but power is expensive. They do have free happy hour on M, W, and F with beer and wine. They also have free laundry in the yacht club and on the south end of the marina. Several restaurants withing short walking distance. There is a grocery store and West Marine within about 2 miles. The marina does offer free bikes that are in good condition.
Excellent, clean and very organized marina. They plan fun festivities as well. We will be back!
Ciera and Vibert were friendly and super helpful with every request
One of our favorite places to stop! The docks, bathrooms and laundry are excellent. The staff and other boaters are very friendly, and you are a short walk away to a beautiful historic downtown!
Beautiful marina. Peaceful, well run and short walk to restaurants. Will be back on our way north in the spring.
Excellent marina - very focused on the live aboard cruiser
BLM is a great place to stay. Town is walking distance. If you are there on the First Friday of the month they have a big gathering will all stores, restaurants and great music!
Very nice marina. Beautiful sunset. People were very friendly
Excellent facilities, friendly people and good to see Downtown is making a strong comeback. This is one of our favorite stops on this trip.
Rating this marina with only 5 stars doesn't do it justice!! Annie and I have been in the mega/super yacht industry as Chef/Captain for many decades and have lived dockside for most of them. So when we say this marina is amazing, its from experience! Now that we are semi retired and cruising onboard Drunken Monkeys on our DIME! We seek the best marina value/experiences we can and are so glad we made the stop here. The original plan was to stop for a few weeks and we ended up staying for months. We even decided to haul out in their great boatyard for the remainder of the 2022 hurricane season. The BLM team “Kyle, Ciara, Vibert, Matt, Adam & Michael” are truly there to make your stay a great one. They go out of there way to help and make you feel at home in BLM. This is one of a very few marinas that is truly oriented towards cruisers/liveaboards. Not to go unmentioned: Free is not a word you hear often in yachting!!! Let me share a few things that are totally free yes free at BLM… on Mon, Wed, Fri evenings there is free Wine/Beer for everyone, free courtesy bikes, free pump outs, dog park, free laundry.. there are even gas BBQ grills at the end of every dock with great seating areas.. and the list goes on!! Add BLM to your east coast itinerary you won’t regret it!!
Very nice facilities. Good service and good location. We enjoyed our overnight stay.
Really enjoyed my stay here. There are plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. My family and I stopped in at Jinright's Seafood and enjoyed the Gator plate and Flounder Fillets. Definitely some 10/10 seafood. The marina was very nice and I will definitely be coming back to this spot. The marina security added even more plus points. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Bathrooms were clean and the shower areas large and had a toilet. The lounge was nice and the laundry facility was clean and machines were "no charge". Easy docking too. Fir thise of you traveling with your dig, there is a fenced in dog park. Nice touch!
Matt the yard manager was respectful, courteous and a pleasure to interact with. After spending a week daily in the yard getting my boat prepared for transport and another month waiting for transportation, our conversations were often.
The marina is fine but the Boat Yard has much to be desired. This is not the place to stop if your in need of any work on your boat. I had scheduled an appointment and they service department never showed up, nor called. When I made the appointment I was told they could get to me right away, so much for that.
Always a great marina, nice, helpful dock hands, great docks and a nice location.
I hate writing negative reviews. So I'm not going to. Let's talk about facilities. They are clean, kept up, updated, constantly refreshed, and in general amazing. The Wifi is a solid B compared the 50 or so marinas we stay at in a given year. That's actually pretty good. We like this marina so much we stay about 90 or more days a year when all added up (by far the longest stay we do anywhere). The sense of community is strong here. It's not a charter marina. It's not a super yacht marina. It's a family marina. With the old town of Brunswick nearby. The farmers market. Community events on the waterfront. This is a laid back place to enjoy and live. If you're looking for metro chic. Likely not the place for you. If you're looking for amazing people you can sit down at one of the hosted happy hours they do each week? This is the place for you. People smile at each other as they pass. Value, expectation, and general attention to detail suggest a top tier rating for the Marina.
Excellent, friendly staff. Great amenities such as free laundry and an awesome clubhouse. And, most importantly - a true sense of community with people always willing to help each other. Also, a Very safe place to leave a boat during hurricane season!!
Great docks. Great experience. Attentive dock crew. Easy check in and fueling experience. Nice amenities.
Fantastic marina! Great staff, very nice amenities and activities, and downtown is just a block away.
This is the third time I have stayed at Brunswick Landing on my trip up the northeast. This time we were having my daughter’s wedding on the boat. The day before the wedding we experienced a series of events initiated by a failure of the air conditioning 230 volt water pump which caused water to accumulate in the forward bulkhead causing an electrical short that tripped the shore power breaker that caused a failure of our house batteries and charger/inverter. Matt, the service manager, was able to new batteries, a temporary pool pump, and had us operational for the wedding. I recommend not only the marina but their associated yard unconditionally.
Great stay. Nice town but a little low on energy
Excellent in every way. Great docks. Great staff. Great amenities. The dog park is huge and we’ll kept. Laundry is clean and free. Everything too notch.
This is a great marina. Lotsa liveaboards with a lotta local knowledge. Restrooms/showers are clean and in great shape. And they have a great happy hour MWF. We will definitely be back.
Very nice facility, but the best part was Reid’s Apothecary Restaurant within view of the marina. Absolutely the best Shrimp & Grits ever!!! It’s also a great bar with knowledgeable bartenders who have a lot of hard to find bourbons & other amazing things to work with. The Chocolate infused Old Fashion was worth the 2,000 dollars of Diesel it took to get there from Stuart, Florida.
High winds but experienced dock attendants made me look good. The marina is clean, washer and dryers efficient. I liked this marina and the proximity to town.
My Cape Dory 36 recently was delivered by truck from Maine to the Brunswick Landing Boatyard. I'm a first time boat owner, so the process seemed daunting to say the least. The team at the Boatyard were highly professional and guided me through the boat delivery by truck, requirements for mast re-stepping, and launch. It all went very smoothly, and I could see I was in good hands at each step of the way. I would recommend Brunswick Landing Boatyard to anyone requiring similar services.
Great staff, docks,Landry,Lounge and restrooms was worth the 45 minutes off the ICW.
Friendly staff. Lots of great amenities. Enjoyed the marina sponsored happy hour. Nice town with several great restaurants! Wish we had reserved a longer visit.
I hate writing negative reviews and I really wanted this marina to be cool, but I have to say our stay left one of the worst tastes in my mouth in our entire cruising experience thus far. The gruffness of the staff is just beyond acceptable. I am generally pretty cool with all kinds of styles, but the staff here seemed to choose aggressiveness as their preferred style. We apparently stayed beyond their checkout time, due mostly to me trying to help fellow cruiser with a dangerous task of working on their mast. A very agro staff member banged on our boat and started threatening us to leave or pay another day. Obviously we hightailed it out of that dump and landed in a peaceful anchorage near Jekkyl island. Incidentally the marina is sub standard and really not in a nice area. The view is essentially a factory with smokestacks billowing God knows what out of them. I like Brunswick, which is an up and coming area obviously clawing it's way out of hard times and there is a lot of promise as a cruising destination. However the general vibe and staff approach at the marina is not something I would recommend. It's smoke and mirrors and over priced. Avoid.
Good protection and easy in and out, but like another reviewer said keep a weather eye out for the crab trap buoys. Docks are decent, can't speak to the boatyard side of things, people and staff otherwise were generally friendly. Facilities were underwhelming. Good walk to the downtown area, which is old and makes it look like Brunswick was once a much busier and larger town. A good place to pull in to if bad weather is forecast, otherwise we pass it by.
Brunswick Landing Marina is great. We stayed one more day. Facilities are clean, well taken care of. The people re happy and helpful.
My son & I were on a trip from Tampa to Baltimore & ran over an unmarked crabpot. Tore the Starboard strut trough the hull. The boatyard got us out of the water and on stands, cleaned and fixed the boat and got us back on our way in 6 days. Fast and solid repair.
repair work at the yard, can be costly. They don't have highly trained people and no tools. They do, however, keep the clock running while they beat on stuff and talk on the cell phones. We will never use them again.
Fees are OK and docks appear to be well maintained. Facilities are well below standard. The "lounge" is a joke and should be called a closet. It has one washer and one dryer which look like they should have been replaced several years ago. The coast guard has a slip there. The coast guard employees are skate boarding all through the parking lot and down the dock. There is a sign which says no skate boarding but the harbor master says she is afraid to say anything. The "Old downtown" is a joke. Fine dining is subway and you can stroll past all the closed shops. The harbor master told us be sure to stay out of half the town because it is unsage and drew a huge X through it. A grocery is only a couple of miles away. We were told we would have to park our truck about two miles away in a public parking lot since it had a lance camper on it. This is not a marina for someone seeking a nice live aboard atmosphere. It may be a fair place to store a boat but the quality of life would be awful.
An excellent Marina. Monthly fees are "cheap". New floating docks. Well protected. No problems with wind and tide. Security is ever present- no need to worry about your boat shopuld you need to leave it. Staff is competent and attentive. Each pier ( @ 15 piers ) has a gazebo like structure for socializing, parking bicycles, and picknicking. This area also has a gas grill. Lounge is excellent, weekly get togethers ( bring a dish plus BYOB ). Great way to meet you neighbors. Bath and laundry facilities are excellent - free washers and dryers ( new and numerous. Close to town - 4th of May Cafe is excellent - you've got to try their tomato pie. If you need a place to relax and recoup - this is it.
