Brunswick Landing Marina is located in the heart of downtown Brunswick, Georgia. Just steps away are shops and restaurants that offer marina customers an exclusive 10% discount off their meals. The marina has a very active liveaboard community attracted by the never ending daily social activities, free laundry, free beer (yes, free beer), and free water on all the docks. Ample parking is available at the head of each dock which makes provisioning and unloading a breeze. Customers have started to call this marina the "Velcro Marina" because once you come, you never want to leave.
I want to give this marina a four star rating. What really drags down the marina is yard services. They do not have enough help. I’m not sure if this is due to poor pay or lack of training. To get any work done is months away and limited. Any great marina has a great yard! They have a nice club house with cocktail hour, people are very friendly. I understand the marina has a contact out to fix the concrete docks which float. The showers and restroom are very clean. I wish this marina had a swimming pool and/or exercise room. Living on a boat one needs to exercise.
BLM has the best social environment than any marina we've been. Thanks Michael.
The marina is so clean with friendly staff. It really caters to making things easy and pleasant for liveaboards. Lots of opportunities to meet and engage with other boaters - from happy hours, to cruise broadcasts, to exercise sessions, and game opportunities. We met people that we hope to keep as friends in the years to come.
All good helpfull staff
Reviews are accurate -- you come and do not want to leave. Facilities are great. They have everything! Well maintained and nice staff. They also add a social component with decks on each dock and a large (climate controlled ;) bldg to socialize. Area has nice restaurants and park in walking range. Can use courtesy bikes to get to West Marine.
Rating this marina with only 5 stars doesn't do it justice!! Annie and I have been in the mega/super yacht industry as Chef/Captain for many decades and have lived dockside for most of them. So when we say this marina is amazing, its from experience! Now that we are semi retired and cruising onboard Drunken Monkeys on our DIME! We seek the best marina value/experiences we can and are so glad we made the stop here. The original plan was to stop for a few weeks and we ended up staying for months. We even decided to haul out in their great boatyard for the remainder of the 2022 hurricane season. The BLM team “Kyle, Ciara, Vibert, Matt, Adam & Michael” are truly there to make your stay a great one. They go out of there way to help and make you feel at home in BLM. This is one of a very few marinas that is truly oriented towards cruisers/liveaboards. Not to go unmentioned: Free is not a word you hear often in yachting!!! Let me share a few things that are totally free yes free at BLM… on Mon, Wed, Fri evenings there is free Wine/Beer for everyone, free courtesy bikes, free pump outs, dog park, free laundry.. there are even gas BBQ grills at the end of every dock with great seating areas.. and the list goes on!! Add BLM to your east coast itinerary you won’t regret it!!
Very nice facilities. Good service and good location. We enjoyed our overnight stay.
Really enjoyed my stay here. There are plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. My family and I stopped in at Jinright's Seafood and enjoyed the Gator plate and Flounder Fillets. Definitely some 10/10 seafood. The marina was very nice and I will definitely be coming back to this spot. The marina security added even more plus points. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Bathrooms were clean and the shower areas large and had a toilet. The lounge was nice and the laundry facility was clean and machines were "no charge". Easy docking too. Fir thise of you traveling with your dig, there is a fenced in dog park. Nice touch!
Matt the yard manager was respectful, courteous and a pleasure to interact with. After spending a week daily in the yard getting my boat prepared for transport and another month waiting for transportation, our conversations were often.
The marina is fine but the Boat Yard has much to be desired. This is not the place to stop if your in need of any work on your boat. I had scheduled an appointment and they service department never showed up, nor called. When I made the appointment I was told they could get to me right away, so much for that.
Always a great marina, nice, helpful dock hands, great docks and a nice location.
I hate writing negative reviews. So I'm not going to. Let's talk about facilities. They are clean, kept up, updated, constantly refreshed, and in general amazing. The Wifi is a solid B compared the 50 or so marinas we stay at in a given year. That's actually pretty good. We like this marina so much we stay about 90 or more days a year when all added up (by far the longest stay we do anywhere). The sense of community is strong here. It's not a charter marina. It's not a super yacht marina. It's a family marina. With the old town of Brunswick nearby. The farmers market. Community events on the waterfront. This is a laid back place to enjoy and live. If you're looking for metro chic. Likely not the place for you. If you're looking for amazing people you can sit down at one of the hosted happy hours they do each week? This is the place for you. People smile at each other as they pass. Value, expectation, and general attention to detail suggest a top tier rating for the Marina.
Excellent, friendly staff. Great amenities such as free laundry and an awesome clubhouse. And, most importantly - a true sense of community with people always willing to help each other. Also, a Very safe place to leave a boat during hurricane season!!
Excellent facilities, friendly people and good to see Downtown is making a strong comeback. This is one of our favorite stops on this trip.
Great docks. Great experience. Attentive dock crew. Easy check in and fueling experience. Nice amenities.
Fantastic marina! Great staff, very nice amenities and activities, and downtown is just a block away.
This is the third time I have stayed at Brunswick Landing on my trip up the northeast. This time we were having my daughter’s wedding on the boat. The day before the wedding we experienced a series of events initiated by a failure of the air conditioning 230 volt water pump which caused water to accumulate in the forward bulkhead causing an electrical short that tripped the shore power breaker that caused a failure of our house batteries and charger/inverter. Matt, the service manager, was able to new batteries, a temporary pool pump, and had us operational for the wedding. I recommend not only the marina but their associated yard unconditionally.
Great stay. Nice town but a little low on energy
Excellent in every way. Great docks. Great staff. Great amenities. The dog park is huge and we’ll kept. Laundry is clean and free. Everything too notch.
This is a great marina. Lotsa liveaboards with a lotta local knowledge. Restrooms/showers are clean and in great shape. And they have a great happy hour MWF. We will definitely be back.
Very nice facility, but the best part was Reid’s Apothecary Restaurant within view of the marina. Absolutely the best Shrimp & Grits ever!!! It’s also a great bar with knowledgeable bartenders who have a lot of hard to find bourbons & other amazing things to work with. The Chocolate infused Old Fashion was worth the 2,000 dollars of Diesel it took to get there from Stuart, Florida.
High winds but experienced dock attendants made me look good. The marina is clean, washer and dryers efficient. I liked this marina and the proximity to town.
My Cape Dory 36 recently was delivered by truck from Maine to the Brunswick Landing Boatyard. I'm a first time boat owner, so the process seemed daunting to say the least. The team at the Boatyard were highly professional and guided me through the boat delivery by truck, requirements for mast re-stepping, and launch. It all went very smoothly, and I could see I was in good hands at each step of the way. I would recommend Brunswick Landing Boatyard to anyone requiring similar services.
Great staff, docks,Landry,Lounge and restrooms was worth the 45 minutes off the ICW.
Friendly staff. Lots of great amenities. Enjoyed the marina sponsored happy hour. Nice town with several great restaurants! Wish we had reserved a longer visit.
I hate writing negative reviews and I really wanted this marina to be cool, but I have to say our stay left one of the worst tastes in my mouth in our entire cruising experience thus far. The gruffness of the staff is just beyond acceptable. I am generally pretty cool with all kinds of styles, but the staff here seemed to choose aggressiveness as their preferred style. We apparently stayed beyond their checkout time, due mostly to me trying to help fellow cruiser with a dangerous task of working on their mast. A very agro staff member banged on our boat and started threatening us to leave or pay another day. Obviously we hightailed it out of that dump and landed in a peaceful anchorage near Jekkyl island. Incidentally the marina is sub standard and really not in a nice area. The view is essentially a factory with smokestacks billowing God knows what out of them. I like Brunswick, which is an up and coming area obviously clawing it's way out of hard times and there is a lot of promise as a cruising destination. However the general vibe and staff approach at the marina is not something I would recommend. It's smoke and mirrors and over priced. Avoid.
Good protection and easy in and out, but like another reviewer said keep a weather eye out for the crab trap buoys. Docks are decent, can't speak to the boatyard side of things, people and staff otherwise were generally friendly. Facilities were underwhelming. Good walk to the downtown area, which is old and makes it look like Brunswick was once a much busier and larger town. A good place to pull in to if bad weather is forecast, otherwise we pass it by.
Marina is fine if you are close to a shower. Do not use the shipyard for repairs. The workers were inexperienced and took way longer than normal to handle repairs at significant cost. The work was inferior.....I had to redo/correct much of it. While the boat was in the shipyard, we were charged daily marina costs for a slip. Any work that was sent out (e.g. shaft repair) was marked up 30% plus an hour labor to take it and an our labor to retrieve it. These people are "crooks". There is no nice way to describe it.
Brunswick Landing Marina is great. We stayed one more day. Facilities are clean, well taken care of. The people re happy and helpful.
My son & I were on a trip from Tampa to Baltimore & ran over an unmarked crabpot. Tore the Starboard strut trough the hull. The boatyard got us out of the water and on stands, cleaned and fixed the boat and got us back on our way in 6 days. Fast and solid repair.
repair work at the yard, can be costly. They don't have highly trained people and no tools. They do, however, keep the clock running while they beat on stuff and talk on the cell phones. We will never use them again.
Fees are OK and docks appear to be well maintained. Facilities are well below standard. The "lounge" is a joke and should be called a closet. It has one washer and one dryer which look like they should have been replaced several years ago. The coast guard has a slip there. The coast guard employees are skate boarding all through the parking lot and down the dock. There is a sign which says no skate boarding but the harbor master says she is afraid to say anything. The "Old downtown" is a joke. Fine dining is subway and you can stroll past all the closed shops. The harbor master told us be sure to stay out of half the town because it is unsage and drew a huge X through it. A grocery is only a couple of miles away. We were told we would have to park our truck about two miles away in a public parking lot since it had a lance camper on it. This is not a marina for someone seeking a nice live aboard atmosphere. It may be a fair place to store a boat but the quality of life would be awful.
An excellent Marina. Monthly fees are "cheap". New floating docks. Well protected. No problems with wind and tide. Security is ever present- no need to worry about your boat shopuld you need to leave it. Staff is competent and attentive. Each pier ( @ 15 piers ) has a gazebo like structure for socializing, parking bicycles, and picknicking. This area also has a gas grill. Lounge is excellent, weekly get togethers ( bring a dish plus BYOB ). Great way to meet you neighbors. Bath and laundry facilities are excellent - free washers and dryers ( new and numerous. Close to town - 4th of May Cafe is excellent - you've got to try their tomato pie. If you need a place to relax and recoup - this is it.
