Report Review

My review of this marina is probably not as good as what they deserve. I am not a live aboard, and I was just looking for a place to dock my boat. The facilities are all top notch. The docks, clubhouse, laundry, showers are all wonderful. There is no charge to the users for any of the laundry facilities, and three nights a week they offer the people that have slips at the marina free beer and wine. I myself don't drink, and my wife is a wine snob, so we never got much milage out of all of that. As I say, my review of the facility is probably unfair, because I am not a live aboard. If I were, I would likely find the whole scenario much more pleasing. In my case, I didn't much care about any of the facilities really, and found their pricing, contracts and terms to be uniformly , very heavy handed. I think they are upwards of $22.00/foot now, plus electric. I could forgive all of this really, were it not for the fact that all of the people that work there seem to be in a continual bad mood. Whenever I would go into the office to ask them a question, say for example, how much would it be for an annual slip rental , I was told they couldn't even give me a price until April-why? The responses from the staff were always very surly, and I always felt like they were annoyed by the fact that I dared to come into the marina office. I have spoken to other people who have docked there about this odd phenomena and apparently I was not unique in receiving this treatment. Not sure what else I could say. It is likely the best hurricane hole on the east coast, the facilities are lovely, the people that run it are disappointing.
