The Chesapeake Inn Marina is located in the scenic Back Creek Basin and offers boaters a beautiful place to spend the day or stay the night. With the support of our expert marina staff, easily accessible amenities, and worry-free floating docks, you’ll have nothing but fun from tie up to cast off. We provide live music, slip-side food and drink service, and docking aid every day to ensure your satisfaction in an experience as unique as the Chesapeake Bay itself. Need a break from the boat? Feel free to take some time off the water and enjoy our historic town of Chesapeake City. With downtown just steps from the marina, its quaint streets offer unique shops, one-of-a-kind boutiques, and top-tier restaurants ready to make your retreat unforgettable.
Make it a day trip! Berth is free before 11pm and guests are accommodated on a first-come-first-serve basis. If the marina is full upon your arrival please take advantage of the Back Creek basin. Drop an anchor in its secluded lagoon adjacent to our docks and we will pick you up on our water taxi, free of charge.
Thinking of staying the night? You do not need to make a reservation to spend a night with us, but if you want to better your chances of receiving dockage, we recommend you reserve a slip. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance and only for those intending to stay overnight. To reserve a slip feel free to reach out over the phone, via email, or through Dockwa. Power, water, and shower access are included in your dockage fee.
No response on channel 16 on approach. As we entered marina, a tender operator showed us to slip and was helpful getting us squared away.
Beautiful facility, which is perfectly located on the C&D Canal, between Cape May and Annapolis. Great staff and dockage. Friendly and helpful. I will plan to stay there any time I'm going through the ditch.
Everything was great!
Our dockhand was super helpful and courteous. Our stay was short but great
Very pleasant marina, although the band Friday night was pretty bad. Need a better band.
Wonderful stop on the way to the Chesapeak Bay. The whole basin was dredged spring 2024. The dock master was friendly and helpful. The town is walkable right from the marina. Highly recommend!
Great sport and great dockhands! Highly recommended!
Amazing, dockhands are exceptional in their own right! Staff and food were great too! Can't wait to visit again!
Clem, Is one of the best dock masters in the business.
Great time ! The Dock hands are awesome.
Excellent location, fantastic and skilled dockhands at helping to get boats into their slips in very tight quarters.
Great Spot. Friendly, helpful, informative. Cute little town.
Dockmaster outstanding. Always a nice stay!
Awesome stop, great restaurant and close to town. Great Marina staff that was great help with docking.
This is the first bad rating I am ever giving! This was truly the worst experience at a marina we've ever had and we've stayed in over 500 marinas! The dock hands were very nice but that's where it ends. We paid $154 for one night's stay. Had I realized where they were going to put us, we would have canceled. The slip was on an angle in front of the Tiki Bar with a finger pier pointing at the starboard side of our boat about 2' off. We have a power catamaran. It was windy getting in and we had been underway did 6 am from Atlantic City. We docked without issue. The restaurant staff were some of the rudest people we've went encountered and the noise level was deafening. The bar music was so loud, our boat was vibrating until midnight from the bass. In the morning, the winds kicked up, no staff on-site and we had to walk out boat out of the slip using four lines readjusting them as we went. Fortunately a young man from another boat was able to help. It took almost 45 minutes to be able to leave the marina safely. I will NEVER recommend anyone staying with this marina. The noise is incredible, the staff is rude and we were placed in a ln unsafe situation. Our fault for taking the slip, but being exhausted clouded our judgment.
A nice stop on our way back to Annapolis. Onsite restaurant and bar is quite good and dock hand Clement was very helpful and courteous! Looks shallow on the chart, but we were told recent dredging gave minimum 8 feet inside.
great place nice restrooms Clem does great job as does all the doc hands
We were given a slip on C dock for our 40 foot boat. The dock hand that assisted us should be giving lessons to all dock hands up and down the bay. We were near the band (a fabulous one- even with the horn section!!) and it made the night so much fun. Our waitress on the dock was terrific- so attentive and prompt with our orders. We will be back!
Was a great weekend . Plenty of beverages, food and entertainment. Our whole crew was very satisfied with our stay. It's now a yearly trip for us. Dock hands and dock waitress were great and checked on us often. Very pleased.
Dock hands are olympic runners and gymnasts!! Saved my boat from getting hit 2 times -- before I knew what was happening. AMAZING!
A hidden gem. Docks were great. We were not able to get power, but the Dock guys tried a number of different things (we were credited $ for having to stay on generator). The Restaurant has amazing food and is a happening place. It's a cute town to walk around, everyone is really friendly. Will definitely make this a stop off in the future.
Nice facility. Friends and helpful dockhands,
Our stay was great! Emily was the server for our boat and she took great care of us all day! Ryan and the dock hands really hustled to get the boats in and out of the marina. And always with a positive attitude. Fun restaurant with live bands. I just wish tbey had done more to honor Jimmy Buffet this weekend (Labor day). Chesapeake City is a beautiful town to walk around, enjoy some ice cream and perhaps a few drinks. I highly recommend this as a stop! Just watch the strong current.
Clem and Ryan and the rest of the crew are the hardest working deck hands I have seen. They made us feel at home and created a great experience for us. We will be back!
Lovely historic town with some very good restaurants. Good help from the dockmaster, fully sorted TIKI-bar in the marina.
Nice place to visit for day or two. Very quaint town with plenty to offer visitors of all kinds - history, foodies, and chillaxing. Arrival was without issue - but no one was present (dockhand) to assign us a slip - just picked a T-head and tied up!!
Great marina and even better dock crew and staff. Friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure everyone had a good time. Live bands both nights and wide selection of food. Newly upgraded marina showers. This was our first time and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you. Update for 2024. Back again and it’s as great as before. Thanks.
Marina was great. Dock hands tremendous.
Clemens was super helpful getting us docked and situated. Beautiful, calm location off the canal with no crazy current. Good restaurant with food drinks! We will be back!
Wonderful visit. Awesome dock staff, great dockside restaurant. Boatside food/drink service. Lively Saturday night crowd. Fun town to walk around with more options.
great floating docks and facilities. Dock staff were great help. Fun night at the Inn!
Everything was amazing, staff, food and drinks. We will definitely be back
Excellent as always. Service was great. Good food.
Great service. Fantastic dock hands. Appreciate every one there!
Excellent service and facilities. Greatly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay again
Ryan the dock master was a rock star getting us into our slip. He was also impressive helping other boats leave tight slips safely. He was super helpful and made us feel welcome. The restaurant upstairs accommodated 10 of us for an excellent meal. We’ll definitely be back!!
We stayed on our boat and as always the dock hands excellent at guiding us in! We are at the bar and Nicole and Jill were fun and very attentive. Later in the evening we had food ordered to the boat and the waitress was super sweet!!! We love town and are always happy to walk the shops!! Fun place!! Thanks for supporting boaters!!
Dockmaster Clem bent over backwards to get us in last minute. Dockhand Ryan did a terrific job with lines and great service. Perfect!
Fantastic dockhands - awesome spot and we will be back!
Great dock support from Cade and Ryan!
Another excellent visit. The dock team is the best on the Bay with Clem, Ryan, and team. Service was excellent from the wait staff. Always look forward to a stay at THE INN
Very nice atmosphere
Always a great stop. Clem and Ryan are pros.
The dock hands especially Caiden and Clem are fantastic. Its a great place to go and the food is always good. Thanks as always Y Knot
I was given slip b 11, my boat is 14.5 wide and 41’ length. When the marina started filling in on saturday evening they jammed a boat on my starboard side. These are boats that come in to party on the dock. I figured b 11 was my slip since i paid for three days. Not very professional, i expect a discount since this was not in the contract i signed.
Dockmasters were experts at getting as many boats in to the Marina as possible. After restaurant and bars closed it was very quiet.Drink service on the dock was new experience for us. Restaurants were top quality.
Second year in a row staying at this location. Not sure we will be back. The dock hands helped get into the slip. Tied the boat perfectly. Said they would be back with paperwork... Never happened. Had to ask another boater the code the bathroom. It did not appear the bathrooms were cleaned at all the 3 days we were there. Really not acceptable. The bathroom and shower are in the same room. There is a bigger one and a smaller one. The floors were wet all the time due to the showers and toilets being in one room. Food at the restaurant was amazing. Bar staff excellent. Our server at a table was terrible. Asked 3 times for silverware. Food was cold before we got silverware. We love the environment of the restaurant and bars one of the main reasons we chose this location. Last thing I will mention. The dock hands don't use the radio. We tried several times both on the way in the first day and the 2nd day. No answer. Resulted in yelling really loud while floating to get our dock assignment. Speaking of, when we can back from boating day two, they gave our slip away to a large house boat. Good thing we took out electrical cables and water hose with us when we went out exploring. They have my cell and email, maybe a text telling us of our new slip assignment or that they gave away our slip from the day before. As I mentioned, prob will not be back.
Nicest people and they delivered food to our boat!! And it was good!!
Great place to spend the night. The Marina and restaurant staff are absolutely fantastic.
Pretty place. Excellent restaurant and outdoor dining facilities. The dock master Clement was, without a doubt, the most capable , efficient and effective dock guy that I have ever seen and I’ve been pulling into marinas for over 35 years.
Very nice Marina. Outrageous price. $190 a night. $4.75 per foot. You need to update transient slip pricing.
Great team you have there!
Everyone was so helpful and great atmosphere!
Clem, the dockmaster, was a great host! He connected early in the afternoon to confirm our arrival time and reviewed options for slips. The facility was great and we were able to easily access amenities.
Great location and received lots of help from the permanent slip holders,
Excellent facility & great dock hands.
Clement once again helped us out by putting us out on the t-head for our one night stay. He's super helpful and proficient.
Neat little town. Marina had 2 showers for entire location and they were dirty. My wife would not use them. Slips are tight. If a sail boat had not left in the morning we could not exit our row. Lots of party spill over onto docks as they enter directly into restaurant and deck. Food was great. Try Prime for steaks.
Best place on the Chesapeake Bay!!!
Communication and directions from harbormaster Clement was excellent! Nice floating docks. They accomodated our request for an easy-in easy-out T-Head dock. Very nice clean modern showers. Glorious hot water! Pretty town with several nice restaurants. Couldnt be happier with our stay. B & M on S/V True North, 40' sailboat, 5' draft. 5 STARS!
Staff was super helpful and accommodating.
Really fun place and I highly recommend. However, if you are a transient and need to leave early, be aware that you will be docked right next to a restaurant and bar with live music (could also be a big plus).
Great place. Dock hand was great guy. Nice restaurant and close to town.
Great food and right in the center of activities
Everything was perfect. Dock hands were to go when we arrived. Check in was smooth. We had a great weekend.
No one answers phone when you call, other than that great
Great stay. Very helpful dockhand, Ryan!
Awesome marina with excellent dock hands. Great food and drinks served to your boat, Look forward to returning soon.
As always, we had a great time. Wonderful food, entertainment and staff. We did have one issue with a boat next to us that came in Saturday evening. They were very much drunk when they arrived, they were fighting and screaming at each other. Then after midnight until around 4 a.m. they were outside on the dock screaming, partying and playing music extremely loudly. We did mention to the one dock worker who told us they are regulars. As a paying guest we were not happy to have been woken up all night by them. Other than that, it was a wonderful weekend.
Chesapeake Inn is truly a one of a kind experience. The dock hands and marina crew hustle like no other all day and night to make your stay as good as it can be.
A bad experience. We reserved space for a 58' boat. The arrogant dock boy demanded that we tie up with 25' of the boat off the dock, in the fairway, We won't be back.
Chesapeake Inn is great.
Great facility. Dockmaster was very welcoming. Good communication. Very dog friendly.
Good food and drink delivered direct to your boat, great town. Dock boys top notch!
Stay was great dock hands were soectacular Marina clea. And fun .
The dock hands were amazing! They kept us and our boats safe from other boats. The only disappointment is that there were several open slips that could have been used by our friends that were told Chesapeake Inn was fully booked! I had no one in the slip next to me except for transients having meals, which still left more than enough slips for our travel companions. We ate at both restaurants and tipped like crazy all weekend. I certainly hope if we return that we can actually bring our entire party.
Dock hands did a great job on a very busy afternoon.
All check in was done. So simple and efficient
Dock hand was helpful and responsive. A heads up about shoal earlier would have been good like when we reserved and then reminders. Just came an hour before and we missed the message so got stuck. Nice bath room shower but need soap tray in shower and better hook for towel. Thanks
Great location and staff & the best Docmaster & Dockstaff on the bay. They can dock any boat from 17’ to 100’+!
Nice stop over not he trip. Friendly marina folks. Good food at the restaurants. Nice floating docks and no issues with power (50 Amp). Thank you!
Best dockhands in the state!
Clement , amazing dock master , only negative is access to bathhouse is through the restaurant deck . Great spot for all access to town
Great stop. Hit it mid-week so not busy at all. I understand it can get jammed up on the weekend. Dockmast Ryan was absolutely fantastic. Outstanding directions over the radio during the approach which was appreciated as this was my first time there. Met us at the dock. Tied up and brought the paperwork down to me saving a trip to the office. Nice facility as well (dock and restrooms). Highly recommended.
This is one of the nicest locations we have stayed at! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to provide top level customer service! The marina restaurant was top level, and the surrounding town had multiple venues for food, drink, and shopping. We highly recommend this Marina as a destination point.
Awesome staff, boat hands and food!
Marina staff nice and accommodating…food and drinks excellent!
Great experience!!!!
Nice setting, nice people, and nice restaurants
Very nice, clean, Marina, right off of the C&D Canal. Ryan, the Dockmaster, was excellent. Food at the Restaurant was great. Facilities, Bathrooms were 5 Star!
Clem and Dock crew are OUTSTANDING with their care of the transient boats!! Best we have encountered!!
Our stay at Chesapeake Inn and Marina was wonderful. Docking was made easy with the help of the dockmaster and great floating piers. Our meal was great as usual. Looking forward to visiting in the future.
Amazing staff and service!
awesome spot and amazing dock hands!!!
Great atmosphere. Very clean marina. Delicious food. Friendly dockstaff
Great help from dock staff and a perfect location. A little shallow getting to the dock, but all good. Enjoyed the steamed shrimp in the restaurant.
Marina is advertised with 50amp / 240 V electric service. When we first pull end, the pedestal did not have any electric service. We moved to another one that had a 2 30 amp to single 50 amp spelter on it. We hooked up to it and had 100v on each leg. There were only two boats on the dock, including us. We had to turn on the generator just so that we could cook our dinner and have AC. Please hire an electrician that can bring the proper voltage to the pedestal. Thanks!
Tied up on a T-head. Good. Was asked to move for a 60’ boat arriving. Moved my 44’ to a 40’ slip. Not good. Power was 105 Volts. Enough for 1 A/C unit, no more.
Wasted an hour trying to get a slip, water taxi was too busy to pick us up, left and had a great time at Schaefers just across the canal.
Very clean facilities
Code to locker room and Wi-Fi password were not given
This is a great marina. Fun restaurant and bar, cute town and the showers have 2 shower heads. This is all good but the dock master Clement is amazing. We came all the way up from Florida to Maine and heading back now. He is the best dock master we have met the entire way. Watch him do a flying clear hitch from 10’ away. 5 stars
Excellence marina. Great dock master
great fun and very good restaurant. also Clem is the absolute best dock master on the bay and canal. it is great fun watching his energy and organization in action accommodating boats to his marina.
The marina is very clean. The staff is fabulous. Ryan was very helpful in getting us docked. We ate upstairs on this stay and the food was excellent. We have also eaten out on the deck and, again, the food was excellent.
Great dock help!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent as in the past
dock power issue. we need full 220v 50A service. Marina only able to provide 200 v service. AC units on boat not able to run.
Very helpful staff and nice place to visit.
Great staff and clean bath houses
Great location for docking on C&D canal traveling thru. Good restaurant and close to town.
Fantastic! Easy, fun, beautiful! We’ll be back!!!!!
Dockmaster was great! Was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable!
Everyone from Dock hands to the wait staff were awesome. Service was great and the people were nice. Love staying here!
Great stopping point and great staff. Wish they had more boater facilities for a longer stay
First thing is the dock hands met us at the dock. Made sure we were plugged 8n and secure. Back back and checked on us an hour or so later. This is an exciting small marina. The activity level kept us entertained. Washrooms / showers a little walk, but certainly nothing we have already encountered.
Love it! Food was great as always and entertainment was awesome! Now for the suggestion… have bags of ice available for transient boaters for their trek home.
Dock hands are exceptional, thank you Clement for the first class dock help! Waitresses always ready. Our meal at the restaurant was very good. Vibe is great and the town is very quaint.
The stay was excellent. Dock was immaculate and the staff was awesome. We will definitely be back again!
👍 place was clean. Would be nice if they had fuel, but there are other marinas close that offer fuel
Had difficulty contacting Dockmaster, had to get the restaurant people to get him on channel 16. Other than that docks great, shallow water near docks at low tide. Had one foot under my props. Great help docking, restaurant and bar were. Wonderful
Nice floating docks. Nice facility and restaurant and friendly staff.
We found Chesapeake Inn lovely. It was a very easy dock to access. Fuel is not on the property ,, but not far away. Both casual and fine dining available . Bathrooms were clean but shower was small.
Love the dockside service! This place never disappoints. A great way to start the boating season.
Staff is so helpful, nice! Amazing customer service!
Great marina and staff. Clem, Ryan and crew are fantastic
The Dockmaster (Clem) and the dockhands Ryan & Cade all do a fantastic job.
Great location. Live music daily.
Stayed for two days the end of May. Dockmaster Clement was great with getting tied up. Layout is odd in that you have to walk through a room full of seated diners to get to the transient bathroom and showers. Facilities were nice, but could use more cleaning, the mold on the shower curtains was a little off putting. Close to town and restaurants if you choose not to eat at Chesapeake Inn. Internet went down on the first day and despite being told "I have my IT guy on it", it did not work the rest of the stay. Overall it an okay stop, could have been much better.
The bathrooms are very nice. Only 2 of them but they are very nice.
The staff at Chesapeake Inn do an awesome job, a great place to visit.
Nice little marina. Friendly people. Outstanding dock hands. Good food
The dock hands were amazing . The restaurant food was Soso..
The dock hands were very helpful, the facilities were clean and well maintained.
Great service and we love the floating docks and newly renovated restrooms.
Left a message with the marina before my stay. No one ever called me back. Sent 3 messages asking for the slip number through the Dockwa app that were also not answered. Called as we were pulling into the marina and still could not get ahold of the marina. Was told to call on channel 16 to get someone even though that is the coast guard channel and was then given the channel number. Very poor communication.
This was the rudest dock staff I have ever dealt with (and we loop so we have been around); we will not be back. I hope someone doesn't get hurt by their combination of youth and arrogance.
Great spot on the C&D to tuck in for the night. Excellent dock-hand and BEST non-YC showers on the eastern seaboard; although one must parade through the outdoor dining area to get there. Not a problem for us as it was a very slow TUE. Could see it maybe being a hassle on a warm, busy FRI evening. The Inn clearly cultivates the local party scene so if that’s not your thing maybe keep moving.
Everything was great from the helpful dockhand at our arrival, to the very clean and modern facilities, to the phenomenal meal at the restaurant!
Requested a reservation through doc wa. Never got a response. Call when entering C&D canal . Women said she would have someone call me back. Got to marina called on cell and VHF no answer. Would have liked to give this place a try. But if nobody is there to answer phone I guess this is the review you get. Moved on to Annapolis
As always the dock crew was top notch. Atmosphere was great along with the food and entertainment. Recommend to anyone I know
Excellent marina, service, and restaurant
Dock staff were pleasant, but the Inn's attention to slipholders is seriously lacking:\n1) They had no showers, despite their website advertising, claiming it was due to \"a septic backflow a while ago.\" Did they tell me before taking my reservation? No. Did they offer some kind of refund? Hell-no. The dock attendant said \"is there anything I can help you with?\" and \"showers\" was my immediate response after a day of cruising to get to Chesapeake City, only to discover they had none, knew they had none, and did absolutely nothing about it.\n2) Chesapeake Inn is in a cellular dead-spot apparently, and Chesapeake Inn's WiFi sucks. They have 2 WiFi SSID; one is unsecure with great connection but absolutely no bandwidth (probably because 100-people are simultaneously trying to get Internet). The \"Marina\" SSID is secure, but none of the passwords given to me worked to get access. The dock-personnel couldn't have cared less about getting slipholders access, once-again despite their website advertisement.\n3) I've stayed at Chesapeake Inn before (pre-COVID), and the restaurant now extended their seating-tents all the way to the (paid-and-visitor) finger-pier docks. You literally have to walk through people eating dinner in order to get off your boat. Insane.\n4) This place is set-up to provide free-slips to people trying to access the Tiki-Bar and restaurant. There is non-stop drunken traffic in-and-out, regardless if you're a paid slipholder or someone playing bumper-boats in the middle of their poker-run. Although I had paid for a slip in advance, I (along with several other boats I heard pull-up) had no actual slip-assignment prior to arrival. Slips were intermixed with free-bar-parking in-between overnight mega-yachts. I literally had 3-boats dock behind me and 2-boats dock to my port-side (then leave) in four hours while I was tied-up. \n5) There is nothing peaceful about this marina; this place is meant for one thing: free parking for their restaurant and bar. I can't argue their business model; they probably sell a lot of alcohol based on all the yelling, foul-language, and stumbling captains I saw. Loud go-fasts, loud-music, loud-yelling, loud-partying... this place is certainly fun... but peaceful, no.\n6) Not the fault of the Inn/Marina, but a statement about the clientele: in 2-days in my slip, there was NOT ONE captain who used his bilge-blowers before turning the key. Seriously at-least 40-boats I personally watched the captain stumble aboard and immediately hit their key. I won't be surprised to read about this place in the news someday.
Toilet facilities were backed up. Otherwise a pleasant stay
very helpfull and clean
Very nice marina. Docks and Wi-Fi are excellent. Staff helpful. Reasonable rates.
Wonderful place, Ryan was very helpful at the dock. Look forward to going back—they have great setup for transients—very reasonable.
Very professional dock hands and a fun place to spend the night.
OK spot. We docked for one night between Cape May NJ and Rock Hall Md. We had made our reservation weeks in advance. Dock hands were right there to help when we arrived (Ryan in particular). We had dinner in the upper level dining room, away from the band and crowds. Dinner was satisfying. The waitstaff was really attentive and doing the best they could short-handed.
One of our favorite places on the Bay. Best dock staff on the bay, great service for food and drink right to your boat., outstanding restaurant upstairs with great Tiku Hut and bar food downstairs.
Super cool little marina. Capable of having some larger sized boats. Easy to pull in. Clean floating docks. Helpful staff and a cool tiki bar right up the ramp.
Great time...dockhand was great!!
We stayed Fri &Sat nites in a slip on the C Pier. The bands were awesome (as usual) and the meals we enjoyed were even better. The customer service is 2nd to NONE compared to the many (many) marinas we visit!
New docks and bathrooms/showers! Music every night and good food.
Great stay. Fabulous food, nice staff and Fabulous dock hands!
Dock hands, Clem, and Parker, as always, were awesome! Always a great time!
Too shallow, too noisy with "thunder" boats and drunk patrons, terrible communication with boaters, reserved slip was not available upon arrival although I called in advance, no marina knowledgeable person on duty day of departure until 1100 - needed directions of how to best migrate out of the very shallow marina.
The dock staff and wait staff were excellent. The noise level of the live bands was a bit more than we expected though. Party atmosphere continued until late night. For drinks and conviviality on the C&D Canal, this is the place. For a peaceful, transient overnight, this is not it.
Excellent staff. Clean modern showers.
Klem was wonderful as the dock master- got us expertly tied up at the dock and was very efficient despite the incredible amount of boat traffic coming in! The restroom/shower facilities were updated and clean. Enjoyed a still into the quaint town and had a sumptuous dinner at the Chesapeake Inn restaurant. Looking forward to another excursion here in the fall!
Dockmasters Parker and Clem know their stuff. We have never had an issue going in to tie off. Jill and Ruby served on B dock Sat and Sun A number 1 service. We also had great service on the deck. Fri we had 5 in our party, Sat had 12 in our party. The staff didn't miss a beat. The music entertainment was really good.
Very friendly and helpful staff ! This place ROCKS !
A fun time as always. While its always a party at the restaurant and tiki bar, the service and facilities are up to it. The dock hands and waitresses are friendly, polite and professional. The food is always good too, if a little heavy on the Old Bay.
Great staff, very accommodating and helpful.
Fun spot! The marina staff are very nice and helpful. Great floating docks. The food at the restaurant was very good and the servers were top shelf! At the present moment, we're sitting The Deck outside bar having lunch. The menu has great variety, staff is excellent, and there are a ton of tv's so you can watch whatever sports event you want. We will definitely come back!
Very satisfied, great service, will be back soon
Very nice stay. Great restaurant, clean bathrooms, and Ryan was a great dock hand.
Fun place. Great dock waitress service. But low voltage on the 50 amp power pedestals. One boat in our group only had 200v and couldn’t run his AC. Another had 205. They need to fix this.
Nice docks and everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable
Ryan was an excellent dockhand. Make sure we were set and tied up properly. I would not give the restaurant hi marks though, the food was about average and looked like it was something that just fell off the Sysco truck.
Excellent Service! From Clem checking and making sure we had everything we needed to the wonderful Service, dinner and drinks delivered to our boat! New boaters bathrooms are first rate! We will be back!
Terrific place. Had dinner served to us on our boat. Love that service.
Great marina and place to stay
Dockhands very helpful, what a fun place especially on a Friday night! Restaurant service right to your boat.
Dock hands were very knowledgeable, polite and helpful. All worked will together and docking was easy. Would return for the great service.
Awesome place to visit, friendly environment. good food served quickly, strong favorable drinks etc. Would highly recommend for an enjoyable relaxing stay. Great place for boaters.
Nice marina Good restaurant Excellent dock hands
Fun place on Memorial Day weekend. Bands, people and activity.
Great location. Extremely clean facilities. Staff was wonderful. Restaurant was great as well and they had live music which was fantastic. Five stars
The staff could not have been nicer. Great stop for fun, food, drinks & music.
Great service and expert dock hands.
Wonderful Dock hand!!
With a nasty cold front headed towards NJ and Delaware, we, and many others, tried to secure dockage at Chesapeake Inn and Marina. We requested a reservation on Dockwa, which went unanswered; we sent a message via Dockwa, which went unanswered; we phoned several times, which all went unanswered. Horrible and inexcusable behavior on Chesapeake Inn Marina’s part!!! If you are not accepting any more reservations, UPDATE DOCKWA so we are not left wondering where we can go for safe harbor. Truly an operation that does not care about their clientele.
Great facilities, friendly staff and raucously fun tiki bar!
Excellent staff, food and atmosphere!
The staff is amazing, even understaffed, this is a team of professionals. Have patience and they'll get you well taken care of. It's a party venue, so be ready to get down. We were surprised at how happening this place was. Be careful coming in, the basin has shoaled significantly on the west side.
Great place to take a break. Unfortunately, no grocery, West Marine, or laundry within walking distance.
Great stopover as you transit the canal. We enjoyed the Tiki Bar!!!
Very nice- close to quaint town - restaurant and dock hands very helpful
Our stay was GREAT, as usual. The staff is so friendly and very cordial.
Awesome staff and dock guys, they know how to take care of you there, and the entertainment and amenities where great, love this place. Again another great time here, for sure it's one of my favorite...
Good Dockmaster and very nice marina and town.
Awesome experience!! It was our first time. Deckhands are amazing!! Only weird part is the showers are on the food deck. You need to say excuse me to open the door for shower.
Fantastic dock hands, nice floating docks, wonderful restaurant wait staff, & delicious food. Friday nights are understandable for a loud party crowd, but a bit much for our taste. The only suggestion I would really want to make would be to improve your restrooms & shower facilities for your boaters. No A/C for a Marina of this caliber is shocking and frustrating. The restaurant also has a large dining table literally right in front of the (2) restrooms/showers. So you have to say, “excuse me please” to the dining guests to enter and exit the bathroom. Really? Kinda tells you where the priority is I guess. But again, the dock hands and the restaurant wait staff made for a very pleasant stay.
Awesome stay, deckhands and boat service was the absolute best!!
Great staff and an awesome set up.
Great time. Awesome orange crushes
We made reservations months ago- no slip available when we arrived- had to float around the basin for 45 minutes waiting for a boat to leave - finally get tied up but we hang way over the dock into the basin. We come back from dinner and our water is disconnected and lines undone and power turned off- it seems like the boat behind us that the marina had us block in- decided to leave and make us his target.
Great stay, enjoyed the live music and the atmosphere.
The Dockmaster Clem was top notch. This marina is part of a very large very loud tiki bar restaurant. They do shut down around 10 so not too late. Showers are private and ok. Floating Dock relatively new but not stout. Overall a great overnight!
We had a great time! Dock hands were quick to help n nice! The food was good n the dock waitresses were on point. I gave it 4 stars bc of the bathroom situation. Only 2 bathrooms and not very tidy.
Top notch service! Dock supervisor Clem is very professional and accommodating. The Restaurant food and drinks are awesome! Cannot wait to see you again next year!
Currents at entrance can be tricky to navigate depending on tides. Dock hands helpful.
As always, great accommodations and a lot of entertainment. Dock hands, Parker and Clem, knowledgeable and efficient. Dock waitress, Caroline, friendly and accommodating. Great time!
Top notch guys with very good experience. We travel Florida to Maine every year and this is a must stop for us!
The staff is incredible they go above and beyond to help you
Clem and Parker were the best doc masters ever
Friendly staff, especially the dock hands. Had a great time and booking the reservation was a snap. We plan on a couple more stays this season.
Had a great time. Good food, awesome band. The showers definitely need updating.
This is not our first stay at the marina. We arrived early afternoon and the dockmaster Shawn met us as we pulled in. He was quick and professional to get us secured to the floating dock and power hooked-up. He returned a couple minutes later with our paper work and bathhouse code. The marina has two bathhouse rooms for transits, simple and clean. There are two downsides to the bathhouse: first users must walk through the out-door dining area (tables right next to the doors); and the rooms lacked sufficient air conditioning. An interesting note is the room on the left has a single shower, sink and toilet while the right one has two showers, single sink and toilet. The WiFi worked well. The on-site Tiki-bar provides good food. Upon departing prior to the Dockmaster office opening we could not find a place to depose of our recyclables.
Nice marina...hopping on a Sunday afternoon! Staff was very helpful 4 docking...tight quarters when they're busy. Restaurant was awesome...great sushi!
It was easy to reserve a slip and we had a great time. The staff at the Chesapeak Inn were professional and very accommodating.
Great dock hands every time, thanks Clem and Sean!
We showed up on Memorial day weekend and it was NUTS! Crazy clueless drunken boaters coming and going all day long to enjoy the party. The Dockmasters ability to communicate our slip arrangement was limited and frustrating. The dock hands (guys in green shirts) running around were doing the IMPOSSIBLE, helping EVERYONE! Totally appreciated they did in fact have a slip for us but I was not certain until the last minute. With all the day trippers docking what seemed like anywhere they wanted I was certain our spot was lost but I was wrong. The green shirts shoe people away from going in the wrong spots and help to ensure all boats dock safely. The seen for a weekend was amazing, fun, met some great people, had a great pizza, and a few drinks. While noisy during the day once the sun went down the place emptied out and we had all to ourselves. Would definitely stop here again! I wish every marina would publish a map on Dockwa with dock numbers/names/letters and then share the expected slip assignment the morning of our arrival so we can rig lines and fenders accordingly. Was impossible to get that info out of them by e-mail, phone, only 3 minutes before docking did we know we had a place to go.
Great stay, good food and good live music to listen to from the boat deck. Great dockhand (Clem) that will take care of you. I would stop again going through the C & D.
We had a blast. Everyone was very nice and extremely helpful. Had a big storm that night and the power stayed on with a giant generator. Great dock hand too!
Met promptly on the sock as we came in, clear directions on where to go and expert help with the lines. Once we were tied up he spent a few minutes helping us get familiar with the marina and offered any help we needed during the stay. Really a fun stop with the bar and restaurant steps away.
Love this place! Dock hands are by far the best I’ve experienced on the bay.
We had a great time, mostly due to the staff (helpful/friendly dock hands) and location. It's extremely walkable to everywhere in the small, historic downtown area. Floating docks are always a plus too. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of the bathroom facilities. Showering with a table of diners right outside the door is really strange, and probably stranger for them than us!
Great location, Very pretty marina even if it's a little restrictive about washing boats. And an extremely helpful dockmaster who works afternoons into the evenings keeping all the transient vs Dock-In-Dine slips occupied.
Sean is an excellent dockhand !
Clean. Super friendly. Great food. A must stop or make it a destination.
Great boating environment, live music everywhere, great restaurants everywhere. We also love this friendly and historic town. One of our favorite boating destinations! Matt S
Best dock crew anywhere. Always a great experience. Music food, and drinks!
Clem was great help getting us in. Food tasty at restaurant. Great view of canal, passing ships. We’ll be back.
Dockhands were quick to move to help and Waitresses were attentive. Excellent experience over all.
Friendly, courteous staff. Clean, well maintained. Easy walk to historic district.
Wonderful place to stay!! Highly reccommended...
Very competent dock hand; attentive. The presence of the obnoxious cigarette boats spoil the peace and tranquility. Can’t give 5 stars for that reason.
Horrible! We got there before noon and we’re put on the most popular dock, meaning loads of younger people, all drinking, wearingnext to nothing, no social distancing, and loud. We put up with this until 7pm when the rap music started blasting, then asked to be moved. Bathrooms are awful, located right in the heart of the outside dining area, so you have to ask people to move to access them.
Always fun and dock hands are skilled and helpful.
Marina staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Chesapeake City is a charming historic village with great restaurant choices. Although our stay was mid-week and nearly off season-- we could see that the marina and restaurants at the Inn are a 'happening' spot. The Tiki Bar had lively music playing all afternoon and evening-- but not too loud.
We particularly liked the powerwashing at the Tiki Bar at 7:AM accompanied by the loud cursing of the operator. We also liked the table set up blocking the ramp from the dock. Our favorite was the absence of anyone from the marina until noon. We arrived early around 10:30. Then we had to move because a 50’ needed our slip. We are 47’ LOA. The best was the dochand who called the lines “ropes”!
We just had some electric problems. Not enough amps on C dock.
Dock hand that greeted us was knowledgeable about lines and tying up the boat. Had our registration info all ready. Although it was a week day and. It crowded, we were ignored by the Tiki Bar staff. So we went upstairs and ate there. Not ignored there. Good service. Good sushi. Pleasant marina, especially mid week. Definitely will come back (although I’ve heard it’s loud on weekends).
It was great other than .....really resent the go fast starting their engines at 1 in the morning and revving them for 15 minutes before leaving, I know they have a quiet mode. No rules on this at this marina? Woke me out of a sound sleep. 12, ok....after that, quiet mode please.
Dock hands were wonderful, food the best. Love the city.
Dock handler -- Clem -- was outstanding. He was very busy (nice Sunday in August) but still made sure every boat and every Captain was taken care of. He had to run from one end of the marina to the other several times during our visit to ensure every boat was taken care of -- he did not keep anyone waiting. He also did a great job of prioritizing the boats that had reservations and ensuring as many boats as possible were in slips. Food was okay -- we had salads, hamburgers, and some appetizers. A 4 rating for the food -- and service was slow . Beer was very cold and good selection!
Marina and staff were great but the loud rap music for hours next to our boat was offensive and unacceptable, expected the marina to control the volume but nothing happened.
Very nice staff, good food, great atmosphere
Perfect place to stop for the night or for a meal. Great food, atmosphere. Staff is super polite and professional. Can easily walk into town for a little shopping.
We only stayed at the marina Saturday night. The reservation through dockwa was perfect!
Nice and helpful, floating docks good, restaurant OK
As always the marina is clean and the restaurant serves a very great meal with excellent service
Staff was great, quiet and uneventful night. No wakes, good sleep.
We stayed the weekend for a family members wedding. My negative comment was your bathhouse facilities were seriously dirty. For the amount of money charged to stay the weekend, the bathhouse facilities were gross. Remind you this is the BEGINNING of boating season so there should be no excuse. Please address the problem for future boaters.
Enjoyed our one night stay here. The staff were very helpful and had our slip assignment already reserved. Lively place with good food close to the historic town ad park for our dog.
The dockhands and staff were excellent. This was my first DOCKWA reservation and it was flawless. A good friend had a wedding at the marina, the food was excellent. The dock bar area was very nice. Bartenders and greeters were nice. The only issue I had was there are just 2 bathrooms/showers for the entire marina. They are securely coded, but you have to walk into the deck restaurant and actually excuse yourself from patrons to get to the door. Chairs and tables are set up just next to the doors. Otherwise this place was great.
The Chesapeake Inn is always a great place to stay when your boating around Maryland
Awesome from start to finish. Great food and drink.Great live music. Plenty of dock hands to get boat in and out of the slip. We rented a slip for two overnights. Can`t wait to go back!
