I was at Champlin's from July 28th-31 as part of a Princess rendezvous. The Princess "event" was wonderful but the marina was not. The two bathrooms at the end of the dock ranged from filthy to out of order. The pool was closed half of the time due to poor maintenance. But what really made me mad was the lack of pricing transparency. The posted price on their website for a 55' boat was/is $9/ft weekdays and $10.25/ft weekends. I was charged a lump sum that was over $12/ft. I asked for an itemized bill 4 times and was told they could not provide one. I spoke to the dockmaster and he informed me there is small print on the website that says "base rates are subject to change during holidays, events and peak weekends". The fact that Princess held an event that brought in 34 boats to dock at Champlin's resulted in Champlins raising the dockage rate over 20% and never informing me of the change or providing documentation other than the overall charge through Dockwa. I find this practice unacceptable. Oh, I forgot to mention the Wi-Fi did not work eitheršŸ˜©
