Privately owned marina in the heart of Florence, AL with park like setting. Gas(non ethanol) and diesel available. 24 hr pump-out and laundry, and courtesy van. Great restaurant/bar on site.
The marina was very convenient to walking trails and the visitors center. Unfortunately, we were there on a Sunday and everything is closed.
After two years on the loop, I have to say that this may be one of our very favorite marinas. The support staff is great in a comfortable marina with a courtesy car and a lot to see in the surrounding community. Kyle, the harbor master is without equal in terms of aiding and accommodating boaters. Plenty of water entering and throughout the harbor; floating docks, a restaurant and fairly priced fuel. Don’t miss touring the sound studios, the Helen Keller house, the great restaurants in beautiful downtown Florence and the coon dog cemetery. There are two enterprise locations close to the marina, which will pick you up. A lot to see and do here. This is also a great place to stage for the Wilson lock.
Kyle was very courteous and helpful. He was very busy but had time for us!
This was one of my favorites on the Loop. Captain Kyle does a marvelous job and is a wonderful host. He even helped coordinate the lock departure for the next day. The onsite restaurant is very convenient and offers great food and drink. The town is close enough to take advantage too. We'll be back. We did come back 10/26/24 and everything was just as awesome as before. One of my favorite stops on the Loop.
Beautiful area with lots to do. The marina itself could use some cleaning .
Great stay. They are replacing the dock boards so it’s looking good
Nice stop on the Tennessee River. They have a courtesy car available. Water and power dockside. On site resturant but we were there on it's closed days, Sun-Mon.
Very nice marina. Used their courtesy van. Good stop over.
great staff. good location. we felt safe and welcome.
Quick and easy access. Helpful even on a holiday
Lovely surrounding area to walk. Interesting group of towns with lots of history. Marina personnel helpful. Courtesy car. Restaurant on premises is good!!
Great staff, good facility, wish the restaurant served breakfast. Great launch point for exploring the Shoals.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Florence Harbor Marina. We were grateful for being able to use a courtesy car.
Great staff, helped get pumped out quickly and over to our slip. Courtesy car was a VW mini van in good shape. 2 hour window will get you to a LOT of stuff in the area including pharmacy, Walmart, Mussel Shoals museums etc. great for a day or a week!
Great staff and location! My favorite marina so far.
This is our second stay here and it was great again. We came in late on a Monday evening after going through the lock and they were closed but the harbormaster was able to get us an adapter and make sure that we got settled. We used the courtesy car to go to Walmart to pick up a few things and he helped us pump out and can't say enough about this place.
Very nice marina. Affordable with great accommodations- showers (clean and hot) restaurant ( lunch and dinner) laundry, a beautiful park for kids and dogs and US to stretch our legs, good parking, good security, but above ALL GREAT staff!
Nice marina. Dock car to get into quaint town. Kyle was over-the-top helpful!! Would definitely stay again.
Great marina \nFriendly staff\nWonderful clean courtesy car\nWill stay again at this marina
Great staff. They were helpful and really worked to take care of everyone on a busy fall weekend. We will be back.
Nice cozy marina. Great spot to go for a scenic walk. Kyle was very helpful with the docking and runs the place well. Restaurant food was very enjoyable. We had heard from others the restaurant was closing at the end of October but this is not true. Server confirmed they're open til Thanksgiving. That's good because we'll be back in two weeks. A good experience here.
Staff is very helpful and very pleasant. Kyle is a great harbor master.
Dockmaster was very friendly and helpful. It is always helpful to have a courtesy car, which they had, which held 7 passengers. Since we had several boats this was great and were able to take the car back to back hours which gave us time to go to the renown sound studios and Alabama Hall of Fame which were good. One of the floating docks was a bit tilted but overall were not bad. Dockmaster’s recommendation to go to visitor center next to marina was well worth it.
Friendly staff, great courtesy car, and access to a nice park perfect for a run or walk along the river. The restrooms are located in the restaurant (which you have access to 24/7). However there is only one shower for the whole marina. Had to call to make a reservation and given directions to our slip over the phone. As a visual person, it would be great if there was a map easily available to be able to see the marina in advance so we had a better idea of where we were docking. If able to get into town, great historic spots from Helen Keller’s birthplace to Muscle Shoals Recording Studio, all within a 15 minute drive.
The owners go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We stayed here October ‘19 and January ‘20. Last fall, in season, it was great with normal amenities plus the onsite restaurant. They now take Dockwa which we like.
