We had a wonderful stay at Pebble Isle Marina Home of the Grey Heron Grill Pebble Isle on the Tennessee River / Kentucky Lake! From the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch. Fuel prices were the best we’ve seen yet at $3.40 a gallon, which included the AGLCA discount (or a TowBoatUS discount of $0.10 per gallon). That alone makes it worth a stop, but there’s so much more. The fabulous Billy Baugus greeted us warmly at the fuel dock and even surprised us with delicious hot cinnamon rolls first thing in the morning, a real treat! The previous owners (who recently sold to Blue Water Marinas?) walked the docks personally to say hello and check that everything was going well with our stay, which made us feel truly welcomed. They took the time to check on a question we had which gave us peace of mind and provided extraordinary service. Bob, that was appreciated yet unexpected! A very important note: the channel is extremely well marked and easy to follow right into the marina. We had absolutely no issues navigating in, which takes all the stress out of arrival. The views are spectacular, with blue heron and egrets gracing the shoreline—peaceful and picturesque. While the restaurant is currently closed for expansion, we found that Tony’s Pizza delivers an excellent pie right to the marina, a great option during your stay. Thank you to the entire team at Pebble Isle Marina for a wonderful evening. We’ll remember this stop fondly and look forward to returning!
