Report Review

Better then last time. We were assigned the transient dock which is in better shape then the seasonal docks. The restrooms were clean. The staff jumped in to assist immediately when we couldn't get power to the boat. The only negative was they were out of ice bags and I was told that it would not be refilled for a week. That shouldn't happen. All in all a good enjoyable stay. Disappointing. After returning from St. Michael's, Baltimore, Annapolis and Cape May, it was depressing to see the condition of Farley State Marina. No transient should be assigned to D dock unless they are warned in advance of the terrible condition of the dock. It was the first time on my 10 day trip that I decided to lock the boat before I went to dinner. The season long tenants treat the dock as their own space to keep their junk. You have to walk around boat owners that have gathered in their beach chairs to party. There are multiple boats that have obviously not moved all season. Admittedly I had asked to be near the near boat that I was traveling with. However, I should have been given a choice; be separated from my travel companions or be assigned to a dock that looked like a dump. My female guests told me their locker room was deplorable. In addition to how dirty it was, it appeared that a woman with several young misbehaving children, was living out of a camper and utilizing the ladies locker. If it wasn't for White House subs and the fact that I grew up on Absecon Island when the marina was far nicer, I would never stay at the marina. Farley, Liberty Landing, South Jersey Marina and the Canyon Club should be the premier destination NJ marinas. The one that comes no where close to the others is the Farley Marina.
