The Senator Frank S. Farley State Marina is a public facility owned by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry managed by the Golden Nugget. This marina in Atlantic City offers 630 floating slips and has the capability of docking yachts up to 300 feet in length. The marina is approximately 44 statute miles offshore from Cape May and 60 statute miles offshore from Brielle, NJ - Manasquan Inlet. The harbor is well protected with little current and no wakes; dock attendants are available to assist boaters as needed. The marina offers connections for water, cable, telephone, and electric service up to 100 amps. The fuel dock offers 24hr self service for both gas and diesel and has high speed pumps for gas and diesel and has a pump out station. Bathrooms, private showers, and laundry facilities are available to registered marina guests. Also, enjoy access to our outdoor pool.
Great Marina, restaurant, casino and entertainment at walking distance. Docks in good condition. Good value… Will return.
Don't count on wi-fi. It doesn't exist at GN_Public. I was told to connect at the office, but by the time I got to my boat I had no signal. Don't count on a cart. There are 2 to serve the entire marina. Don't count on dock assistance. Employees are fine but few. Not complaining. Just the facts. On a positive note, ACME grocery delivery is awesome in every way and well worth the $5 delivery fee.
Disappointing. We approached the marina a few minutes before 1800 and the dockmaster told us over the radio that his office and the fuel dock was closing at 1800, but that we could do self service fueling with $100 limit each time but able to enter credit card multiple times. We needed 300 gallons and each $100 got us about 17.5 gallons. Pretty soon our first credit card stopped working with a fraud alert and we switched to Amex which kept working. Over the radio, the dockmaster also told us we could use a slip # in concourse D or E, but we didn't hear the actually numbers for these slips. We found an empty slip in E and fortunately no one showed up to claim it. Of course, no one was available on the dock to help with lines at this time.
Once a marina we loved going to and now one to avoid. Not enough cleats for various boat sizes and configurations. Docks are old, cracked and dirty. Seagull poop all over. Roaches running around, especially near outdoor restaurant. Security gate was unlocked, probably because of the Tiki Bar and Harbor cruise boats. Transients are mostly on E-dock. This provides easy access to casino and hotel. But, very long walk to heads and showers. There is a much closer public head just behind the marina office, but old. Don't bother using this after a summer Thur, Fri, or Sat night. I will plan on staying in Cape May on our cruises to points North. Dockhand at the fuel dock was more interested in his cell phone than helping us with lines in a high beam wind. Then he went back to office after handing me the hose. What is something happened? Only reason for 2nd star was for Jack, the dockhand who helped us tie up. He was pleasant, polite and great with lines. Sad to see this great potential be wasted.
Very nice young dock hand to assist us with lines upon arrival. The docks really need work, with the nail heads standing up on the wood planks creatingmajor tripping hazards. Price for dock per foot and electricity are more than fair.
The marina itself was great. What was concerning was the way the gate to the dock (E dock) would not close all the way and was hard to get open when it was closed. Because the gate would not latch effectively, non-boat owners walked the dock. There was even a case of people walking onto a large yacht though they did not belong. This did not go over well with the yacht owners.
I have seen a few of the reviews that are, in my opinion, whining about this or that. From a superyacht perspective, Golden Nugget is awesome. The docks are SOLID, and it is easy to get to. The Jersey Shore is no joke when it comes to weather, and if you want a place that is centrally located within easy shot of NYC and not at the tip of Cape May, I can’t recommend it enough. It is a great marina! The area is so prone to shoaling that other inlets can create challenges, but this entrance both at the inlet and at the marina itself were a piece of cake, and the dock hands we had we great. Do we NEED to stop between Cape May and NYC? No. Do we…yes, Because cities like Atlantic CIty are fun, and facilities like Golden Nugget are appreciated. ~Capt. David, M/Y Magnum Ride
Customer service from the office was awful! The guy wouldn't even get out of his chair. For the rate they charge, they could be friendlier. We were on H dock and we were dropping off some sea sick friends on E and a dock hand came up and told us to get moving. WE explained our situation and he said we couldn't be there. I said we aren't here we are just dropping off. He put his hands on his hips and told us to get moving. No customer service or help! The place needs some maintenance!
Dock hands were clueless. The dock needs lots of repair. Showers were dirty. Some stalls had actual dirt in them. I passed on using them. Showered on my boat. Great location
Third time there this season. Helpful staff. Clean facilities. Can't beat the location.
Good marina, but need to fix the security gates (codes don’t work and everyone jury-rigged to open the gates which was clearly seen by bar patrons to get easy access to the transient slips, and a few non-boaters wandered down to check out the boats)
let me start by saying I come here 6 times or more each season. normally staff and facility is top notch however this trip it was not. upon arrival i was told they would be putting me on the end of a T dock even though i had a reservation . i tied upon and counted 11 empty slips on H dock. when i asked about those slips, the two folks working quickly said “ can’t move , they’re taken.” also told they ran out of paper so no gate codes , wifi or pool passes could be issued. No paper ??? went to the pool and returned two hours later and now there was 12 empty slips. i also notice no wifi on the end of the dock so i asked to be moved. same two folks said they would call me back in awhile. i waited an hour and then finally said no wifi, no paper and no helping a customer isn’t going to be excepted. finally they tell me “take any empty slips you want “ …. still no wifi…. i get it , staffing is a challenge and it’s hard to find anyone to care about customer service , but enough ia enough …. i really like this marina and hope that they take this as constructive criticism and work this stuff out
Beautifully maintained marina. Security was good. Easy access to Uber and public transportation. We will definitely be returning.
Easy booking, Great Marina
Docked this past weekend and have stayed here before. Everything was great! Dockhands are super polite and helpful. Thank you for the hospitality!
The marina is great and the deck bar was a lot of fun, but the WiFi was lacking. We were halfway out the dock and we couldn’t get a signal, if you utilize smart TVs plan to use a mobil hot spot.
Great marina, easy in/out, friendly staff and boaters.
Great weekend, great weather, great bands!!
At time of booking, the rate was shown as $2-$3/ft. When the reservation was made the cost was $3.50/ft. Dock hands did not make it to us to help us tie-up in high winds. Adjacent boats helped us dock in wind. I think short staffed, but they could have contacted me on radio and asked us to hold off till they were ready to help. One of the 2 dryers in womens laundry to north was not working. Apparently it had not worked in a while as wife stated the cord had been cut to stop operation. We have stayed here several times before. All prior visits have been top rate. Restrooms and showers were always clean when visited on this trip.
We did not have a good experience with this stay. Check-in and Office - The person at the marina desk checking us in on that first day did not provide us with any of the info we needed. We did not receive a receipt (which is needed to get into the pool) and we did not receive the codes for the restrooms and gate access. When I asked for these things after going back to the office on 3 different occasions, I received an eye roll instead of an apology. Bathroom/Bathhouse: The shower doors were locked in the main building for both the women's and men's room. There were laundry facilities and showers on either end of the marina, but transient slips are in the center closest to the main building. Marina Store: The store is closed indefinitely. Ice is available when someone is at the marina desk but times were inconsistent and at twice the cost of any other marina/store we have visited. Snacks are available in the Golden Nugget lobby store which is at least a 5 minute walk beyond the marina office. Transient Slip: The slip itself was fine as were power and water. The only negative was location. The dock gate was at the Deck bar so the gate was always left open and not secure. Inebriated deck patrons were roaming the dock at all hours of the day and night. We will not be coming back to this marina.
Great help from dockhand. Good visit on our way south. Dock hands were at the slip on arrival and boat was secured quickly and easily.
Great place, very well managed, great dockhands and dockmaster
Docks are beginning to show their age but overall a nice place to stay with a helpful staff. Much improved customer service from previous stays.
Overall, a great experience. Helpful and friendly staff and always quick to reply to any questions. Docks are showing their age, but they are still sound.
The marina is very clean with good entertainment and food choices. Customer service is outstanding!!
Had a great recent experience. When we pulled into the marina I contacted the dock master on the VHF radio and he immediately responded and told me what area to dock the boat. Was very easy to get in and out of the slip. Marina was clean and very convenient. Also the dockmaster had answered a few of my questions prior to my arrival in a friendly manner. Will definitely be back.
Since I was single-handing a 40 foot sailboat in a stiff breeze and didn’t have a bow-thruster I especially appreciate getting a T head and the assist upon arrival. My thanks to Jack the Marina Supervisor and to Braydon the Dockhand.
Marina was nice and clean. Docks are not in great shape. Love the pump out service. Bathroom was clean. We had a great time.
Clean bathrooms more often. Great docklands. Access to town great. Pumpout at dock possible. Floating docks.
Excellent service from the two young lads at the fuel dock—we couldn’t work out how to use the self service, and a great help pushing us off the dock in 12-15k gusts. We received an excellent side slip on E to help getting in under those winds. Showers etc excellent; and a delicious meal at Vic & Anthony’s across the road.
Beautiful Marina but beware after you pay for your slip for the weekend and you leave to take a boat ride every transient or local will steal your slip to go up to the bar and it causes major major problems.. the doc staff needs to be more attentive to this issue.. also on edoc despite having a locking gate with combination it's open to the public where people walk up and down at their will which is very intrusive. Also the doc itself is really in bad shape one of my guests ripped his toe open the boards are so dried out and outdated and uneven that it poses a hazard definitely wear shoes. Bathrooms and shower facilities were ample but disgustingly dirty
Greetings from dock hands upon arrival. Bus service to and from restaurants and boardwalk. Fireworks from several different casinos and available pump out service. Great vacation, grandkids loved the arcade at the showboat.
Great facilities and dock master
Excellent staff, great facilities and amenities.
We were part of a party of 4 boats visiting for the weekend. Had a great time! Staff was accommodating and lots of fun stuff to do there.
Great location and service!
Good help on docks and with pumpout. Like many marinas, the wifi is basically useless. Marinas should ban the stupid political flags. They make a bad impression on visitors.
Docks are good.great service by dock hands - No services except for the casino but a fun stop
Always a good stop. Tons to do now that everything is opened up.
Dock hands were very helpful. Always love coming to this marina and AC!
Nice marina. Ship Store was not open while we were there. The Golden Nugget casino did not have most of the their restaurants open except for weekends.
Great stop, people were very accommodating
Very nice and helpful folks.
Great marina, with clean facilities. Staff very attentive and available when needed. Use of the pool/hot tubs was great. Shuttle bus available at minimal cost.
Gave us great instructions for a after hours landing
The stay was nice, however the wooden planks on H dock was in need of repair. Other than that it was a nice visit.
Wonderful Marina with an abundance of activities to do and tons of entertainment. Definitely recommend for a visit.
Self serve fuel dock. No dock hands to assist when docking. (Luckily didn’t need any) docks are falling into disrepair. Much of the Casino and such were closed. Would still come back. Good location.
People are nice and dock hands are available if needed. Pump out service at the slip for only 5 bucks. The docks are really starting to show their age but it's still a fun spot to go. I hope they don't let it get too far gone and non-repairable!
Stay here often. Easy in easy out. Don’t really use the dockhands, transients dock on H dock, pick your slip and just go to office and advise what slip. They’ll give you the gate and bathroom codes as well as WiFi info. Very convenient for getting entertained on the Deck. All is good!
Great stay. Dock hands were super helpful and the facilities top notch. Fun place!
Dockhands could be better trained. One was OK but the other did not know how to tie up properly. Very inexperienced but worked hard. E dock is in need of some replacement cleats. Tough getting the vessel positioned properly. Otherwise every thing was fine
Great stay. Great staff. We will be back
Great stay while heading north, just wish I could have won some cash to pay for the fuel 😁
We really enjoy stopping here when we transit south for the winters and again in the spring on our way home! The last few times staying here have been disappointing. VERY EXPENSIVE dockage fees and the floating docks are not maintained and in poor condition. We had groceries delivered and there were no carts available to help get them to our boat. We were told there are only 2 carts and they keep them up by office. Also, the dockhands only work until 5pm and we knew we would arrive about 6pm so we called ahead of our arrival and we’re told to take whatever slip we wanted on E dock “there would be plenty available”. We were traveling with 2 other boats and when we arrived there were only 2 slips available . It is such a shame because this Marina could be a destination for many but it is poorly managed. We made the most of our time there but it was disappointing.
Good place to rest. Friendly staff.
The marina and staff were fine. The internet is lousy We did not win any money in the casino!
Came in after staff left, website said they are open until 8, however only until 430. Food was excellent at Italian restaurant in casino.
Always a great place. It’s tough this time of year as the place is almost closed. They seem to have a new team of youngsters who care about things. The bird crap at the end of the docks is a tradition this time of year, surely disgusting but will soon be cleaned up. Power good, restaurants at the casino great, get a Whitegouse sun while your in town. They travel great on the boat.
We liked our stay at the marina, A+
Look…people can poop all over the staff, but it’s not them. The staff is helpful and kind. The problem lies with the State of NEW JERSEY. Yes the dock conditions have a lot to be desired, but blame the state. We pulled in on On 5 Dec. and they had no fuel, and no pumpout. It is what it is. We went to Kammermans and got fuel, and dumped at sea the next day. The things the staff can take care of is the shower rooms and bathrooms in the building. Disgusting is an understatement. Smells like urine. Grunge in the stalls, little to no hot water, (State of NJ), That being said, any of you knuckleheads that want to dump on the staff, go out and get your sea legs because if you have been on the water for multiple days, it can be a lot worse. We will continue to go to Golden Nugget, and only hope that the State of NJ starts to realize that people are contributing to your salaries and should be able to enjoy a safe, clean marina.
Very protected, friendly staff, overall great stay.
Facilities clean. Easy access. Great docs and good restaurants within walking distance
We came here to tuck in for a storm. It was lovely. The line handlers were available and responsive. A stay here gives access to all of the hotel amenities. We loved the hotel gym, jacuzzi and restaurants. We'd absolutely stay again. The grocery store was a bike or Uber ride, about 4 miles.
We stayed at the Golden Nugget for the entire season for the 3rd year now and it is always fabulous.
Numerous requests to repair a rotten dock board at the entrance to my floating finger pier. Twisted my ankle twice stepping on it. Never repaired. Children from nearby neighborhood throwing rocks at boats and damaging them. Numerous requests to Dockmaster went unheeded. Marina personnel would not give the name of the person in charge of facilities at the Golden Nugget. Dock security is virtually non-existent. Office is frequently unstaffed with a sign that says working on the docks, but dock personnel are non-existent. Dockmaster (Austin) phone mailbox is always full and can never find him in the office most of the time. Terrible way to run a railroad... particularly at the prices that we are paying.
Amazing amenities. And I just heard next year, spring of 2022, there will be the all new Atlantic City Yacht Club. Can't wait to participate. Wow, so many great choices.
Great location. Dock hands were limited and the docks could use a little updating. Other than that - a nice stay.
There electric power supply is not sufficient for larger boats. Needed to run gen all night as the power tower kept tripping.
Have been to this Marina 3 different times now. The last two visits have been good. Staff was helpful and docks were clean—versus our first visit. All good
The reservation process went well and the dock hands were helpful getting us tied up. But then they handed us slips of paper with the gate code, restroom code and the WIFI code, informing us the marina office would be closing at 5. We set up and then discovered the WIFI didn’t work and it took us some time to locate the restrooms. We tried calling the marina office and there was a long recorded menu that didn’t allow for leaving a message. The restrooms were a long way from the boat and there was standing water in the laundry. Later at night we found restrooms closer to the marina office. The next day the office was to open at 8, we stopped by at 9 where the window was open but there was no one at the desk. We tried calling the office and reached the same recorded menu. Eventually a staff member showed up, and we bought ice. The place advertised groceries, but the nearest was two miles away. Disappointed.
Great marina, nice docks, good folks-what else can we say?! Arrived late in the afternoon and left early, so didn’t get off the docks. Since we arrived after the folks left, they made a point to give us good directions. Good water, no current-we will be back!
Easy in easy out. Good location to stop on our way to Cape May.
Marina good. Not so much a city girl though. Staff was very busy when we arrived. All details quickly provided via cell phone
Stayed here just over a week. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Entry into and out of the marine was easy. Bathrooms and laundry were clean, although a bit of a walk from transient docks. One negative is that WiFi is nonexistent. It is the WiFi from the hotel and doesn’t reach the marina. We did appreciate having the oil disposal facility available.
Nice Marina. Excellent restaurant.
I was extremely disappointed in my stay. No one helped at gas dock or when I docked. (I single hand so it always helps to have a dockhand). After I was docked there was no one around or in the office, I finally found someone who gave me a gate code on a scrap of paper. The docks were in mediocre condition, and leaning to the side. They were also FILTHY. Yeah, I absolutely blame the jerks who left their garbage all over, but the fact no one cleaned it up for a couple of days & seagulls were spreading it all over is on the Marina. Then there were the bathrooms. They were the most shocking thing, because they have a CLEANING STAFF for an entire hotel & casino, but the showers were FILTHY. I was there multiple days and the same garbage / hair / gunk was in the showers day after day. I expected SO MUCH MORE from the Golden Nugget. I expected ABOVE AND BEYOND service, I'd have settled for average, but instead I got virtually no "service" and the facilities were mediocre at best. I've stayed at so many other Marinas that didn't have anywhere near the resources of the Golden Nugget, yet were clean, much better maintained, and had a employee around once in a while. Next time through Atlantic City I'm going to anchor out.
Only problem was I needed a 30 amp power pole. Only 50 amp was there.
Been coming here at times on runs up and down to N. E. Easy in and out. Great service from deckhands, just wish they would answer there phones sometimes.
We had a wonderful stay. The only thing they could improve is the clothes dryers in the men’s bathroom. They were not working.
Dockhand was very attentive. Wide slip and large fairway made docking easy despite big wind.
It was an excellent trip. Pump out service pumped out even though we weren’t at the boat when they came. Thank you!
They need to have more carts to bring things back and forth to your boat. Hotel would only allow kids into the pool til 2. We rented a cabana and had to leave because of the kids
Everybody very friendly. The staff is very helpful.
If I had the option, I would attach the image I took of a boat on I-Dock across from our slip that had four political flags flying. One of them read 'Fuck Biden', another displayed an automatic weapon and read 'Come and Take It From Me'. This at a state-owned marina. I love The Deck at The Golden Nugget, which is why we used to patronize Farley numerous times during the year. This past weekend will be the last time I spend money there. As an aside, there is a boat on D dock whose name is 'KnotSea'. Classy place.
Very nice marina with good bath and shower facilities. Happy Hour food and drinks at the on-site Charthouse were especially good - but go early!!!
The staff is helpful and courteous. But the marina seems to be falling into disrepair. Rotten wood decks are abundant. General lack of maintenance noted everywhere as she ages. One pays premium rates without premium facility. The bath houses and showers are old and dingy and no matter how clean they actually may be... They look like crap.
Very nice, helpful staff. Good location.
Great place, going back for sure!
Great location, great entertainment, easy to get around on jitneys. Would have been 5-stars but showers were only “acceptable.”
I have stayed at this Marina many times and let me be quite honest it is going downhill and fast. We were waiting and waiting to dock, mass confusion with the dockmasters office. Secondly there are no deck hands to help, 2 years ago they were all over the place (NO ONE WANTS TO WORK)! The boards on the dock are in need of repair! The state needs to do something. I guess the dont care about boaters and their need for safety! This was such a wonderful place to visit for a group boat trip. Not sure I will be going back anytime soon. Its very sad.
Dock Staff are excellent. They help tie up, get ice, pump out waste and they have a fuel dock.
I have stayed at the marina many times, I feel the quality has declined. The bathrooms are very outdated. The docks are old and need upgrading. This weekend they were out of ice from the weekend prior. We were told to go get it from the hotel with a garbage bag, the staff should have offered to assist with that. The bathroom codes and the gate codes have not changed in years, that could pose a safety event. Overall we love taking the boat to Atlantic City, but more upgrades should be done to the marinas and make it worth the money spent
Excellent staff and customer service. Very friendly and knowledgeable! Marina was very well kept and organized and secure! We had a great time!
Entry has currents. The staff cannot hear a VHF call on 65, until you are at the Coast Guard building, at the mouth of the cove. Staff are helpful. Docks are renewed. There are many restaurants, and of course casino's. This Municipal marina is operated by Golden Nugget. No current inside at slips.
We love it here at this marina! It’s well kept and comfortable. Nice quiet calm waters! Love the entertainment in the evenings.
Better then last time. We were assigned the transient dock which is in better shape then the seasonal docks. The restrooms were clean. The staff jumped in to assist immediately when we couldn't get power to the boat. The only negative was they were out of ice bags and I was told that it would not be refilled for a week. That shouldn't happen. All in all a good enjoyable stay. Disappointing. After returning from St. Michael's, Baltimore, Annapolis and Cape May, it was depressing to see the condition of Farley State Marina. No transient should be assigned to D dock unless they are warned in advance of the terrible condition of the dock. It was the first time on my 10 day trip that I decided to lock the boat before I went to dinner. The season long tenants treat the dock as their own space to keep their junk. You have to walk around boat owners that have gathered in their beach chairs to party. There are multiple boats that have obviously not moved all season. Admittedly I had asked to be near the near boat that I was traveling with. However, I should have been given a choice; be separated from my travel companions or be assigned to a dock that looked like a dump. My female guests told me their locker room was deplorable. In addition to how dirty it was, it appeared that a woman with several young misbehaving children, was living out of a camper and utilizing the ladies locker. If it wasn't for White House subs and the fact that I grew up on Absecon Island when the marina was far nicer, I would never stay at the marina. Farley, Liberty Landing, South Jersey Marina and the Canyon Club should be the premier destination NJ marinas. The one that comes no where close to the others is the Farley Marina.
Only one person staffing the marina, although he was extremely helpful. Store and most onsite restaurants closed during the week, no ice available, Wi-Fi wasn’t working on the docks. Easy in and easy out. Very wide slips on pretty solid floating docks.
staff was really awesome always available and willing to assist. Showers although there was plentiful they were pretty dirty could do a better job cleaning them. Otherwise will be back..
Marina was very accommodating, Dock master Blake was knowledgeable and helpful. Services and amenities exceeded expectations
This place is a dump. No service at fuel dock hoses all tangled up. Pumps haven’t been certified in 3 years. No help on the dock. Bathrooms and laundry disgusting. Had to go to Kammermens for fuel. But it is easy in and out of the inlet. Hope I never have to go back.
After reading a dozen or so reviews I've instructed our captain to plan the trip avoiding this place.
Dock and services were fine just wish that when you check in they tell you if a dock has working power took us 3 tries to find a slip that both outlets worked.
The location is a plus and it's not too hard to get into. The downside is the the lack of usable amenities for the price you pay. The bath house/laundry was disgusting on the men's side and the washing machines were inoperable. The women's side was somewhat better but there may be a leaking washer because there was a good bit if water on the floor by the washers. Also, there were loose cleats on the docks.
Easy reservation process via Dockwa. Great floating docks. Easy docking. No dock hands available. nice bathrooms showers. Use of Golden Nugget indoor pool. Fun stop. Great restaurants close by.
The dock master sent us to a slip that was WAY too narrow for our hull (we sent our accurate info via Dockwa). The dock help was great and we squeezed in, though the cleat layout made tying up challenging. The WiFi is not protected and worthless (is free but useless WiFi really acceptable?). The showers are not hygienic. The restaurants are mostly not open Monday and Tuesday (nothing else in area). A number of the water hose fittings did not work also. Really poorly run. The local crew is great, but leadership is running this place very poorly. Avoid if you can.
The facilities (showers, heads, laundry) are really tired. They used to be clean but sadly that is no longer the case. This was our fourth stop and the same laundry machines that have been out of order on each previous visit are still not working. Also none of the restaurants are open during the early part of the week. Very disappointed.
We arrived and were told someone would be right over to assist us after fueling another boat. No one showed up. Other boaters in the marina helped us dock. We had no power. (Connections on dock were broken.) The following day, they did comp the night and moved us to a different dock that had power. When we left the following day, we took on about 150 gallons of fuel. 20 miles out, our engine quit. We had gotten bad fuel. All filters were black and both fuel lines were totally clogged. We had to call for a tow inshore. We walked our dog on the strip of grass along the sidewalk heading towards the fuel dock. There was dog waste everywhere! One of the women’s restrooms/showers was taped off and not able to be used. As much as I would like to, we can not recommend.
Everything was great
Marina was in decent shape but booked through Dockwa, got approved but never got a slip assignment or the gate codes for the marina. Called upon arrival on VHF with no response, called the phone number and tried the Marina office, dockmaster and eventually got connected to the hotel front desk who had no idea about our slip reservation and no way to contact the dockmaster as he was already gone for the day (Got in at 745pm) and had not left any instructions on docking. Found an open slip ourselves and asked some nearby slipholders who told us the owner of the slip was out for the weekend so we could stay there. Very glad for the helpful slipholders, not sure why we bothered booking a slip if nobody even knew or cared that we were there.
Excellent all around. Great help from dock hands and the ship store had a part I needed. A great stop on the way up or down the NJ coast.
Hard to contact marina via radio or phone on arrival.
Dock hands were very helpful.
Nice, modern marina with older docks, few amenities (fuel dock, restaurant closed). But, they're the only transient marina in town, so...
Nice marina and very responsive staff
We docked at about 1 PM and at six another boater pulls up and wants us to leave the slip he had paid for three days . That slip was double booked . This should have been avoided.
Loved our stay there! Great dockage, clean facilities and helpful staff!
Excellent. Great time and location here.
Basilio was awesome, we arrived after hours and he met us on the fuel dock as we had to load about 1,500 gallons so we could leave very early the next morning. We had an easy slip assignment we could just pull straight out of on our own for easy pre dawn departure.
Easy docking and helpful staff.
Docks are in terrible shape and covered in bird crap. Power posts are not securely anchored and have exposed wiring. Dock Hands are friendly.
They say 24hr self serve fuel! Thank God we got there 10 minutes before they close because you can only get 20 gallons after closing. We fueled up luckily and the attendant told us the gate combination to get back on the dock. Well the gate is broken and doesn't stop people from just opening up the gate and coming on the dock. We were washing the boat after arriving and a guy asked us if he could show our boat to his stepson! Ugh Then to make matters worse no-one answers their phone or calls you back. We couldn't get in to the bathrooms or showers. We went into the casino and they gave us a code for the door and it didn't work! We text the fuke dock attendant and never heard from him! I will NEVER go back there again!
The marina put is in a slip with broken and missing cleats and where our power cord wouldn't reach - having to go across two other slips. They didn't help us with lines during docking (on a very windy day) and we're unresponsive on the radio when we asked to move spots. They never shared the dock code, where the facilities were or anything else. Oh, and the bathrooms were gross once we found them.
Even with Covid restrictions, we had a awesome time at the Golden Nugget Marina. I highly recommend dinner at Vic & Anthony's Chef Tim Hamill is one of the best chefs around.
Very nice place to escape the bad weather.
This Marina was one of our favorite destinations up until about 2 years ago. The Marina has been poorly managed and under staffed our last 2 trips, but this trip was clearly the worst. Management has one person working on a Saturday to manage the phones, dock security (Daytime only. There is a phone number to call after hours), and assisting incoming boats! 10 STARS TO AUSTIN WHO WAS GREAT but clearly overworked! I recently met a 2020 season slip holder who has left the marina for another marina due to being understaffed all season. They told me there was no staff or security all season and the dockside pump out service ended because the equipment was vandalized and the marina never repaired or replaced it. If Golden Nugget plans on maintaining a boat trade, they better rethink cutting the staff to a ridiculous level and not maintaining services that are expected at a resort marina! ***This is not a COVID-19 situation*** They have been going downhill long before COVID-19 arrived!
Great Facility perfect location helpful staff
Convenient, reasonably priced, very poor customer service (in fact, practically none).
No one knew where to put us. Not very experienced Dockmaster. They sent us to a slip that had a boat in it already. We had to manage moving our 70’ vessel many times until they put us on the face dock. Dockmaster was inexperience with timing up the vessel and was rude to the crew.
Great experience. Great services.
Great slips on a linear dock E. I don’t see the wifi coming up on my phone. Women’s bathroom/showers good. Men’s not so good. Most everything is closed for the season. Still looking for ice this morning.
Very pleasant stay. Docks were clean and in good condition.
a tired municipal facility with no staff. Easy to get in and out but nothing special other than its location.
Okay marina, but absolutely non-responsive. Called several times before arrival to try to book No answer and never returned my message. They accepted my Dockwa reservation and took my money, but never responded on 65 (their designated haling channel) after repeated hails or 16. I ended up just pulling into the first open spot. Never saw or heard from any representative. I guess you can stay there for free now since no one seems to care or respond.
Clean your docks. Disgusting
When we called the dock master he didn't answer us,we did not know where to dock the boat so we just docked, then no one was available to give us the code to the gate to get back to our boat. Kind of left us to fend for ourselves not happy at all
We never received a slip assignment and we got no response to phone calls, emails or marine radio hails. Abandoned the plan. Did not stay. Was very frustrating and disappointing and we have no intention of paying any bill they try to send.
Great marina and staff!
The dock itself was ok. Only complaint is they had weeds growing out of the docks.... For the amount of money they charge per night you would at least expect clean bathrooms and showers.... They were absolutely disgusting..... I felt like I needed a shower just for walking through the door.....
Unable to communicate with dock office. No slip assignment, dock in poor condition, power wasn’t working on pedestals, years ago was the best.
The floating dock and bright lights were nice. Preventive steps against the Covid rates a 2 out of ten.
Austin the Dockmaster was absolutely amazing. So helpful and always available to take questions regarding dockage, approach to the marina.
Very accommodating staff. Conveniently located near boardwalk and peaceful with quality amenities.
No assistance whatsoever doesn’t answer radio calls or phone calls Fuel dock is a joke Higher price than stated on WG
Staff was scarce helped dock never saw again no checkin wasn’t told gate code
Great place to spend a wknd
Overall nice couple of days here. Understandably understaffed due to Covid situation. Restrooms/showers needed more attention with cleaning. Dockside bar and restaurant were very accommodating and food was excellent.
Horrible!waited outside 20 minutes trying to raise someone on VHF & phone No answer. Finally got kid who told us where to dock but no help given. Looks like a ghost town. Nowhere to go, docks needs replacing, bathrooms need updating. Office is a far walk and WiFi never worked.
Fishy aroma in the marina deterred us from sitting on the back deck. Nothing open due to COVID but not the marinas fault. Been here twice in the past, good service.
Nice, quiet stay at the marina while the casino is closed.
had no issue in the time of covid-19. I was able to call ahead and get the scoop which is essential during these difficult time with closures and partial openings. no attendants and no staff except by phone but everything was in good repair.... the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner and the showers also.
Good service. Good power
In covid times. It was good. No dock hands. The town is closed but the floating docks were in good repair and the electric worked. Only stayed one night on our journey north.
Horrible Took my money. 138$. I understand the circumstances. No workers at all. Took fuul price. I called radio ch 65. No contact. Calked phone. No answer. Calked another number. Talked to girl in Houston. She said electricity works. Water works. Showers work. It took 3 different slips to find electricity that worked. Water did work. Showers were locked. Docks were disgusting with bird droppings and shells. I want to be refunded for $138.00. I understand the circumstances however then you shouldnt taje my money. It was full price for totally disgusting conditions. Call me at 860-985-8482 Frank Moskey
I requested a slip close to the facilities. Upon arrival I was told to "take any slip on H dock". I couldn't tell how many slips were open and I hadn't seen a dock attendant yet, I took what appeared to be the first open. Thid dock is equal distance from either of facilities. I was told to come to the dock office to sign in once I was secured. They closed at 5. I walked up without shower gear to make their time. When I asked what to sign he said Dockwa had covered it and handed me a slip of paper with #s of gates, shower, phone to office and wifi that didn't work. There was no place to sit in the shower/head room. I'm handicapped but not in a wheelchair. The handicap shower stall had no seat (fold down) to shower nor one to dress. I couldn't tie my shoes until I saw a cart in the hall used by maintenance. I single hand my boat. I could have gone down the row of slips on the chance of finding one closer but the sun was setting, I'd been running all day and having an assigned slip with an attendant waiting would have been more like I would have appreciated.
The 50 amp power supply at our slip would not hold our power cord. Had to use a neighboring slip. The WiFi was terrible, even when we moved closer to the office.
No one there when we arrived. 5 boats holding in harbor, hailing marina to no avail. We finally just docked in an available slip and hoped we didn’t get asked to leave in the night! The other boats went elsewhere. Also, no one to pump out our holding tank. If we had been sent a slip number thru Dockwa we would have been more comfortable docking without the dock master being present
It would have been 4 stars but they were no dock hands to help when I got to slip.
Marina was easy to access. Nice restaurant on site. Showers were a very long walk away from our dock.
The dockhands were friendly and helpful, the amenities were great and the restrooms and showers were clean.
I’ve been stopping at this marina for several years. I must say that I was very disappointed in the condition of the docks and the bird poop was all over the docks next to and near where they had me park. I spent an hour cleaning the dock as best I could before my guests arrived but bird poop still got tracked onto my boat and the docks stink terribly. I will not stay there again if that’s the condition they keep the docks at $3/foot.
Great spot had a good time will return
Very good staff and clean facilities. Dock planking needs to be replaced (H dock)or at best power washed to remove dirt and mold that can be very slippery when wet. Overall, good experience.
The docks are in poor shape. There were nails sticking out of the rub rail on the finger dock that scratched the side of my boat. I have a Formula that has painted sides. It’s not just an easy gel coat repair. I filed a claim with the management. We will see how it goes!
Enjoyed our stay. Nice docks and deck has bands. Pool bartender at H2O was awesome.
We could not get in they were booked. We sailed past them and went to Cape May. I was told by the Dock master I would not be charged.
Marina office closes early but otherwise a good stay at a nice facility.
Nice marina and staff. Has a Boatus discount for both fuel and dockage. The Jitty picks up from the Golden Nugget so getting to the Boardwalk was easy.
Excellent Easy in and out Friendly staff!
Good, no complaints.
Always good time in AC
Great entertainment...! And Service.
A Great weekend get away. Austin (dock master) was very accommodating and placed us in an open slip near friends of ours that dock there for the summer. The deck hands were very nice and helped us locate our slip and get tied up and hooked up to water and power. The weekend was 100 degrees, so we didn't do to much outside but there is a real party/relaxing atmosphere. Bathrooms/showers are quite a walk away, but were very clean and secure. We'll definitely be back. And using Dockwa to arrange everything was very easy.
Great location and service
Great staff, awesome venue, love the floating docks! We will definitely come back!
Nice facility with good dock hands. Nice floating dock but wood planking needs some updating.
Excellent facilities great dock hands who know what they are doing. Can be noisy at night from the band playing at the deck bar but after all it’s atlantic City.
All was great. Amenities dock hand etc. We’re perfect
Great marina, nice staff. Good times!
Very nice set up and great dockhands.
Nice docks. Good dock hands. A mile walk to showers and laundry.
The docks were in very good condition. They were well protected and the dock hands were on the spot in helping getting into the slip. The showers and bathrooms were clean and convenient to the transient dock. The washers and dryers were not. It was a long walk to get to them and then only half of them worked at a time. Also, they were located in the men's and women's restrooms which meant unless you had both genders on board you could only use half of the machines. The restaurants at the Golden Nugget were very convenient, a bit over priced but then it is a casino. The jitney service was great making it possible to travel without any hassle. We also made use of Uber for grocery purchase. The Uber was only minutes away when we needed them.
The dock hand was on waiting at our assigned dock to assist us with docking. He gladly secured our boat, hooked up the electric and asked if we needed anything else.
The amenities of the Marina are excellent but control of the parking around the marina is a mess cars park in areas for boat owners. Cars that don't display a parking permit should be towed but security manager refused to enforce parking rules. Boat owners pay a large sum of money for their slip and parking privilege this is why I give three stars in two weeks. and then consider raising or lowering.
Great location and activities. But forget the service, had to dock ourselves at the gas station and at the dirty docks. Overpriced for a do everything yourself marina .
ZERO STATS Totally disappointing hours and services posted were totally inaccurate Water fuel and pump out not available 24 hours as posted and open hours not adjusted to reflect change
Not much nearby. Surface of wooden docks poorly maintained.
It was nice to have a Casino so close to the dock, the Gas dock does not work at all wasted 30 min trying to get it working. No one was a the Marina office so had to ask some locals for the codes to access bathrooms, Bathrooms could use a “Deep” cleaning
Our experience was less than great! The docks are in poor condition with protruding nails and loose power stantion. One water faucet was frozen shut. The dock attendant was a passive observer rather than helping to fend as we docked. This resulted in a scratch in our top sides from one of the protruding nails. If I can avoid it, I won’t be back.
Im not an Atl City kinda person, but setting that aside, sooo this marina if you can. Staff is non-existent. The guy at check-in was clueless. Dock conditions are hit and miss. Ours had rotted boards, popped nails and a loose cleat. Facilities are clean and suitable. But for $3/ ft, I expect more.
They cleaned up the marina since the last owner ran it. But there wasnt enough staff for a holiday weekend. When we checked in, we werent provided any details on events going on at the casino.
Well protected marina, great dockhands. Waaaaay too loud at all hours.
Great Location, Friendly Staff, Amazing Restaurants!! Cant wait to come back again next Summer!!
6 years we have been going to Fakefest, with about 7-9 boats and about 40+ people. This is the busiest weekend of the year according to the dock hands. THERE IS NEW MANAGEMENT. The location of our group was as expected, except for a large abandoned boat which separated our group, which has obviously been there for a very long time by our understanding. The floating docks are old, lots of splinters, loose boards and overall not maintained. The dock boys were great. We had an 80' Hatteras on the other side of the main dock, which was allowed and not corrected to winch up the craft so the entire main dock was raised up on the side of the Hatteras and was low on the other side, which made for the dock to be very uneven and rub the pilings continuously, making an annoying noise with every motion of the water from boat wakes. The music awesome. The pool at the Golden Nugget is way overcrowded.
Marina staff were very pleasant. Quite surprised to have the crew from the Mega Yachts sitting on the finger dock texting at midnight.
No help with dockage - facility understaffed given the number of transients. WiFi unusable. On the plus side, great protection from storm conditions; great dining options; easy bike access to board walk.
Wifi was not available except in the office for office employees. One said we've had problems and another employee said we've had no complaints. One the two dryers out of order. No place to get quarters for laundry. Service people very aloof. Pool & hot tubs on 7th floor of hotel was awesome, but no place to change except in the bathrooms. Would not go back.
Special thanks to Jesse Lewison, Marina Supervisor and Nicholas LaRotonda, Director of Marina Operations, for taking the time to help us with our upcoming reservations. We dropped by the office unannounced and they both stopped what they were doing to help us out. We have always had great experiences during our visits. Deck hands are happy and very helpful. It's always a great time! Louis Fischer Salty Parrot, Barnegat, NJ
It's not yet the season, so the docks were not very clean, and the fuel dock was closed. Also, the marina is a bit isolated, everything is far from it.
Just visited the marina while heading north for the summer from FL! Noticed alot of improvements taking place!! Restrooms being renovated as well as a new bulk head and walk way being completed. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable of the area! Had a excellent meal at Chart House. Looking forward to coming down to stay a few nights and listen to the bands on the Deck!
Dock was covered with goose and bird poop. Very slippery and dirty and dangerous. Not cool when docking your yacht and having to walk in that crap.
This Marina seems run-down compared to other marinas with this dockage rate. We entered at sunset and found it difficult to distinguish the various ways to get to the many marinas. It would be a good choice for those who want to spend some time in the area though.
The marina and the office manager was nice. However, the fuel dock attendant was not attentive or helpful.
No help docking, in fact never saw anyone while we were there. Docks covered with bird droppings. No one have us a gate code, so had to climb over the gate.
Easy to reserve. Perfect stay !
Easy entry. Professional dock hands. Great entertainment on the Deck.
Nice docks but they sent me down the 30' and under fairway instead of the bigger one. Made for some really dicey handling in the breeze and then I had to move as I stuck out too far.... Showers are fine but predate the private dressing area era. Can get Jitney to boardwalk. Unless you gamble there isn't anything in walking distance. Casino restaurants (low end) were mediocre. Nice deck bar but was either too crowded with a too loud band or deserted as we had a front come through.
Excellent staff and location !
Great Stop, Helpful Staff!! Great entertainment beautiful pool area! Reasonable fuel prices and in slip pump out available.
Friendly Staff!! Lots of improvements made to Fuel Dock and also offers Active Captain discount! Great bands on The Deck! Dock master Nick was very personable and knowledgeable of the area!
Great time at Golden Nugget!
It was okay Golden Nugget was very crowded no space at the pool
Marina can accommodate larger boats, dock hands where helpful. The docks could use some updating very dated. Not much to do for kids, a good stop over point.
Beautiful Marina! Great location and staff! Competitive fuel pricing and lots to do in the area. Amazing rooftop pool and free WiFi. Looking forward to my next trip down during Fakefest on The Deck!!!!
No one available on arrival. Though there's a huge staff on hand for the restaurant and casino, no one knew the code to get back through the gate to return to the boat after finding the marina office closed, even security personnel. Not friendly to the average guy.
Amazing Marina lots of amenities great location! Staff is very helpful and friendly! Looking forward to visiting this marina again in the future!
Dock was clean and safe. Staff was very well informed and attentive. Excellent work to all!
Was a little disappointed when I came in to the marina. It looks like they are under construction on the land portion of the marina. The fuel dock is closed until Memorial Day Weekend, which was unexpected. Unfortunately it is about the only game in town, so you have to suck it up and hope that get things sorted out soon.
