An ideal stopover point when heading east from Portland is Hodgdon Marina in Boothbay Harbor. Located on the quiet side of the harbor - yet still within walking distance of downtown's restaurants, galleries, and shops - the facility provides at the dock depths ranging from 8-18 feet, 750 linear feet of space, gas and diesel fuel, 30, 50, and 100 amp hookups, and full marina amenities. The spacious venue has the capacity to accommodate large sail and power boat fleets for comfortable socializing both on and off the water. Mobile boat repair is available and extensive projects can be catered to by Hodgdon Yacht Services, a full-service boatyard.
Perfect! Cool boats on the dock.
Easy in and out, short walk to village, and Ean who manages the marina extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful!! Will always come to this marina!!!
Thank you, Hodgdon Marine. Great stay. We enjoyed your quiet cove away from the busy main harbor. It was a pleasant and easy walk to dinner in town.
Affordable, good tackle on the morning. 5 minute walk from town. “Quiet” side of harbor but great views south to the ocean.
Best spot in Boothbay although not a lot of amenities if you want that. Quiet remote location with a short walk to town.
Great marina and excellent Boothbay location if you’re looking to enjoy the town, but then retreat to a more peaceful area. Really short walk into town with all the shops and restaurants. Facilities were clean and Ian was a helpful and friendly dock hand. Will be back!
Boothbay is beautiful place. This marina is on other side of the town and very quite, but only 5 minutes walk to the town. While walking to the town take a look (on a right side) in Bristol boat yard to see the restored schooner hull. One thing though. The wifi is spotty, but I think it will be upgraded next year. Definitely will stay there again. Highly recommended.
The marina is in a very quiet location, sheltered from the occasional swell in the main harbor, yet easy walking distance into town. Ian, the dockmaster, is very friendly and helpful. Marina is also very pet friendly. This marina is now one of our favorites.
On the quiet side of the harbor as advertised. Mooring had pick-up stick and was very sheltered. However, moored amid construction equipment that fortunately went quiet at 5 p.m. Marina didn’t answer VHF so had to call on cell. Limited services but easy walk to town.
Peaceful side of Boothbay Harbor nice facility friendly crew - transient dock easy on and off - short walk to town- we will be back
Another great stay. We'll be back soon. Thanks Ian!
Great place and Ian is the best
Nice quiet location a short walk into town. Power on the west end of the dock was insufficient and we were forced to keep the generator running
Lovely views, convenient dinghy dock. Big supermarket only 0.7 miles away. Showers and bathrooms nice and clean enough. Super nice people and a great place! Very short walk or dinghy ride into the heart of Boothbay.
Very hospitable crew. Expertly handles us and our vessel. Very clean facility. Easy access to town with a short walk. Quiet.
Outstanding Marina - easy to get into, short walk to town while being away from the noise, and Ian the dockmaster was over the top helpful. We're already planning our next trip here.
