Claim this MarinaOuch. That's the second time I've fallen inside my boat because of the boat's coming up hard to its mooring lines. The marina needs a breakwater. With a wind over 10k, moorings are DANGEROUS. I'm trying to type this and the boat suddenly jerks, throwing my fingers to the wrong keys. The mariners are helpful and efficient. The wifi is a joke. Must be the slowest wifi since the invention of wifi. The staff wear t-shirts with the slogan: Your safe harbor. LIE. Safe enough if there is no wind. In the yard the guy who painted my hull absconded with two expensive cans of prop paint from under my boat and dripped bottom paint all over my water hose. Took two hours and a can of acetone to clean the hose. My boat had waist high weeds growing under it. Trash lines the side of the road at the entrance to the marina. I know my mooring lines are going to snap in just 15 knots of wind. Only one water taxi to Preveza once a day. Otherwise, it's a 20E taxi ride. In Turkey I stayed at Yat Marin, a 25 minute bus ride outside of Marmaris. They offered a free water taxi every couple of hours. And the bus was only .75E. I found the employees helpful and effective. Management seems to not care about the well being or BASIC comfort of their visitors. Clean wash rooms. I put 5E in the dryer, put it on the highest setting and my clothes came out just as wet as when they went in. I'll continue to store my boat and have work done on it here but I will avoid the marina.
I am waiting for a new alternator for 5 days now. A very normal alternator ! Marina want € 59/day for waiting - incredible ! I am now under anker ⚓️.
**AVOID CLEOPATRA MARINA** Apart from the bad conditions and difficult access the management/saff are terrible, STAY WAY CLEAR FROM THEM
Cleopatra Marina in Preveza Greece office staff behavior (office manager her name Lena) is worse than the Greek Civil servants. Their communication with the boat owners is in very low standards, they think that you own them your present in their marina. They never help you with paper work, they always complaint that you (client) ask too much. Also when the office manager Lena and the other staff refer to you in a conversation, they never get up from their chair or look at you during the conversation. They are rude and up noxious and uncivilized. Also the technical staff is not that good either. The worst marina in Europe. STAY WELL CLEAR!!
Don’t understand the 1 star reviews. The marina does get a current running through it, which takes a little more focus during high flow periods, but the RIB operator and mariners are superb, courteous and friendly. If you are remotely competent and do as they, you will be OK. Facilities are excellent, and everyone has been so helpful. Recommend!
Found staff to be very accommodating. When our yacht has been lifted in/out and chocked up, thought the operation was extremely professional. Mikey, ferryman/RIB operator excellent. Travel hoist operator superb. All Mariners extremely obliging, good security. Ioanna in top office pleasant and helpful. In general, pleased with service to date. Only downside is, a tad more expensive than the other 2, but as the saying goes "you gets what you pay for" Food and More is good too, attentive staff.
I have given the management of the Cleopatra and Prevesa marinas a one star review as they will not accept responsibility for the actions of their staff. While doçking my yacht a member of the marina's staff untied my tender and moved it to another mooring where it damaged another yacht. The management are now saying that this is my responsibility when I had no knowledge that the mooring had been moved and had not given permission for the tender to be moved. If the management will not accept responsibility for the minor damage that my tender caused how would they react if one of their lazy lines broke or one of their props failed and your yacht was damaged? My advice is why risk using these two marinas when there are 3 other marinas within an hour's sail.
**AVOID CLEOPATRA MARINA** Apart from the bad conditions and difficult access the management/saff are terrible. Among many problems we had with them which included being blamed for power cuts and charged for electricity that wasn't connected the most most unbelievable was the opening of our recorded delivery documents which were original ownership papers, tax documents and tonnage survey. The documents were lost/discarded and the marina tried to cover-up the incident by concealing the envelope. Very amatuer unproffesional and difficult marina! The worst marina in Europe. STAY WELL CLEAR.
