Galen Marine LLC has several moorings in Sag Harbor Bay. This is a scenic area in the Sag Harbor Outer mooring field. There is ample swinging room, clean water, and privacy. It is five minutes to the dock and two minutes to the beach by tender.

Approach
Approaching from Gardiners Bay follow the marked channel between Cedar Point and Shelter Island. Enter the mooring area by leaving the channel midway between G7 and G9 on a southerly course. A back bearing between N8 and Mashomack Point (the southeastern tip of Shelter Island) will provide a safe bearing over mean low water of 11 feet. Beware of the shoal area lying south of G9. To enter the mooring area with slightly more water, follow the channel past G9 almost to G9A before turning south. Again, beware of the shoal lying south of G9. Be sure to observe the chart to stay in mean low water of no less than 13 feet. If approaching from Noyack Bay, follow the marked channel past the entrance to Sag Harbor and immediately after passing G9A turn southeasterly into the mooring area.

Great stay! Staff was very helpful and friendly addressing all my questions. Moorings were spaced pretty far apart, so there was plenty of room and distance from other boats. A little rocky during the day as other boats ignored the no wake zone, but very calm at night. A short dinghy or shuttle ride into town.
